IIX Foundation Presents SHE IS MORE Celebrating the Value of Women through Art
Women are constantly subject to labels that fail to capture the spirit of everyday women.
The day has come for us to see that SHE IS MORE and value women for the force that they
are.
RATHER THAN... be hailed solely for their BEAUTY, the day has come where
women are also revered for their COURAGE and
STRENGTH.
perceive women as one-dimensional, the day has come to
recognize women as the most DYNAMIC individuals –
caretakers, businesswomen, problem-solvers, financiers,
peacemakers, teachers, and community-builders.
consider ‘EMOTION’ as an affliction, the day has come to
recognize a woman’s emotion as her capacity to lead with
HONESTY, PASSION, EMPATHY and GRATITUDE.

IIX puts women at the center of all of our work and is an
advocate for global recognition of the value of women
across all spaces—from financial markets to art canvases—
because we know that SHE IS MORE.
Join us in celebrating and empowering women globally by
participating in our SHE IS MORE Youth Art Competition
and attending the SHE IS MORE Art Exhibit & Showcase
on 9 May, 2019 in Singapore.
Proceeds from the sale of select pieces of art and showcase
tickets will go to IIX Foundation to support the
empowerment of women and drive progress towards a
more peaceful, equitable and sustainable tomorrow.

A representation of how SHE IS Like the value of women, the meaning of art is always beyond what the eye can see.
MORE What better way to celebrate the most inspirational women in our lives than
through artistic mediums ranging from paintings, sketches and photography to
dance, poetry and video?
This competition and exhibition will allow youth and young adults share their voice
and be an advocate for a more inclusive and equitable world by creating a personal
piece of art inspired by the most powerful and influential woman (or women) in
their life. Together, their artwork builds an exhibit which illustrates just how much
women make a difference in the world around them.
2019 | IIX FOUNDATIONABOUT THE COMPETITION
Beginning February 2019, IIX will invite youth and young adults
worldwide to submit their creations which express how they believe SHE
EVENT IS MORE. The competition is free to enter and open to individuals and
groups aged 10 to 18 years old. Entrants are welcome to submit paintings,
sketches, sculptures, photography, poetry, short videos and even
SINGAPORE | MAY 2019 choreographed dance. A group of judges from a committee of women
leaders will select winners for top entries across various categories of art
and age which will be announced at the showcase event.
EXHIBIT & SHOWCASE
On 9 May, IIX will host an exhibition of the submitted art and a
showcase of select dance and video entries at a renowned art gallery in
Singapore. The exhibit will be opened with a keynote guest and
inspirational woman community leader to share her story with attendees
young and old and set the tone for the exhibit. After which, the showcase
will begin followed by an award ceremony for the prize winners of each
category.
ATTENDEE SUMMARY
The competition and exhibition will be open to the public. Special
invitations will be sent to key community leaders and local families in
Singapore.
