BACKGROUND WHAT WILL EACH CHILD BE ENTITLED TO RECEIVE? HOW WILL IT WORK? The Scottish Government will provide funding to local authorities to administer and deliver the SMHSS. All Care Inspectorate registered settings (local authority, private, voluntary, independent (PVI) and childminders) wishing to participate must register with their local authority (in which the setting is located). REGISTRATION PROCESS To start receiving payment you need to complete the registration form and provide the anticipated uptake figures, this includes your funded ELC children and private children aged from 0-pre school. The data provided will be used to base the number of servings of milk and snacks your childcare setting would expect to provide within an academic year and therefore inform advanced payment amount. Your registration form must be completed and returned, to us by 30 June 2021, to start receiving upfront payment from 1 August 2021. If you do not register before 30 June 2021 the next registration intake period will be in October. Advance payment can only start from the date of registration.
