Kira Dineen, MS, LCGC, CG(ASCP)CM has 10 years of online media experience in digital marketing, social media, blogging and podcasting/radio. She has hosted and produced 5 podcasts. Kira is also the host of the PhenoTips Speaker Series, a live webinar during which she interviewers international genetic leaders. Her blog series, "Explained By A Genetic Counselor" explores new genetic concepts. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Diagnostic Genetics from the University of Connecticut, and earn her certified as a Cytogenetic Technologist. Kira received her Master’s of Science in Human Genetics at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She is a licensed certified genetic counselor at Maternal Fetal Care, a high risk prenatal private practice in Connecticut. Corinne Merlino received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Healthcare Ethics from Saint Joseph's University. During school, she spent her time doing research in molecular genetics and volunteering for multiple education and outreach projects in Philadelphia. She is currently pursuing gap year research opportunities that will allow her to further pursue her passions in science communication and medical ethics. Eventually, she plans to pursue a career as a genetic counselor and is interested in consulting. In her free time, she enjoys reading on the beach, especially medical memoirs! Sophia Saladino received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a Specialization in Developmental Genetics from Stony Brook University and has experience in graphic design. She currently works for the Division of Information Technology at Stony Brook University designing graphics and editing videos. Sophia developed and currently maintains our YouTube channel and aims to provide our audience with an exciting new way to access the latest innovative content.
