Danny Lettre aka One Dan Band Performing The Art of Letting Go When not singing and playing a multitude of instruments, Danny can be found flying small airplanes, spreading good energy and making people happy. The people are what he loves about the Concord area; that and being so close to the ocean and mountains. One Dan Band’s first performance was in 2019 when he went on to win the Kevin Peare Memorial Battle of the Bands! You can follow Danny on Instagram at OneDanBand603 or One Dan Band on Facebook. Derek & Kayla Performing a Tap Dance Both Derek and Kayla got their start under the lights at the Capital Center for the Arts on Main Street in Concord. Kayla, tap dancing at the age of 4 and Derek’s first performance at the age of 6 doing hip hop and karate. They auditioned for CCEH’s Talent Show to raise awareness and money for the homeless and to share their talent with others. They both love the community’s support for the arts; Kayla is grateful for Concord Dance Academy and Derek praises the Capital Center for the Arts (and btw, Dos Amigos!). When not performing, Kayla’s probably playing field hockey, tennis or baking while Derek enjoys hanging with friends. Kaitlyn Dumont Performing Everybody Hurts from R.E.M Kaitlyn scored her first solo at age 10, singing and acting in a play. That experience was “amazing, fun and empowering” and here she is one of our finalists! Some of her hobbies include playing the piano, astrology and dancing with her son. The best advice she’s ever received? “As long as you have love in your heart, you don’t need it in return. You don’t need anyone’s approval to love.” Dead Harrison Performing End of the Bloodline Dead Harrison has been making music together for over ten years with Drae the Dead on lead vocals, Shawn the Dead on guitar, Jason Skulls on bass, and Axile on drums. Influenced by musicians such as Dave Grohl and Chris Cornell, they create their unique sound by following Drae’s favorite advice of “Don’t give up. Do you.” While their hobbies range from painting to cooking to biking and hiking, they all love the Concord area for its proximity to beaches and mountains; and, Concord’s home to some of their favorite places to perform (Area 23 and Litherman’s to name a couple). Aim High Canines with Haeleigh Hyatt Haeleigh and her dogs have been performing amazing feats since 2011 - ten amazing years of thrills, surprises and some challenges! As she says, “My life has literally gone to the dogs!” Besides performing, hiking with her 10 canine buddies is a favorite pastime. Concord is home for Haeleigh and she loves supporting CCEH’s mission as a Talent Show finalist. Watch her incredible tricks on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok - search for Aime High Canines. Emma Vargas Performing Heart of Glass from Blondie Emma has performed around Concord since she was just 9 years old! Her first performance at Concord Community Music School was so special, getting to sing “Sisters” from the movie “White Christmas” with her sister! You may have seen her as a finalist in Tandy’s Market Days Idol competition, or finishing in the top four of the NH Idol (put on by American Idol through WMUR). Concord is more than a place for Emma to perform; she’s lived in Concord her whole life, playing sports, working, going to school and making lifelong friends. As she says, “Concord is more like a family than a city to me.” Fortune’s Favor Performing I Do All My Christmas Shopping at the Dump Chris O’Connor and Mike Bradley first performed fourteen years ago at the Open Door Coffee House in Hillsboro. At 48 and 58 years old, respectively, it was “scary, exciting and fun!” Their idols? Pete Seeger, The Clancy Brothers and Tom Paxton for their range of musical styles and humor they add to the mix. Chris loves living in Concord with its many shops and eateries, and Mike loves his cool little town of Hillsboro. They see this performance at CCEH’s Talent Show as a stepping stone to Carnegie Hall!
