The “Coolest” Marathon in Arizona
The Flagstaff Marathon is completely off-road in the Coconino National Forest at the Arizona
Nordic Village (FKA Flagstaff Nordic Center), which provides a scenic course and great “vibe”
for the participants. The event includes a marathon, half-marathon, 10k
and a “kids kilo.” The course ranges from 8,000 feet to 8,650 feet in elevation, which gives
the race a degree of cachet among distance runners and trail runners. Each year the race
organizers receive compliments for running a well-organized event.

Background
The Flagstaff Marathon allows racers to run a full marathon, half
marathon or 10k while supporting a good cause, The Coconino
Community College Cross Country Comets! The race starts and
finishes at the Arizona Nordic Village and follows an off-road
course in a spectacular setting through the Coconino National
Forest at elevations ranging from 8,000 to 8,650 feet. Midway
through the morning young children can take part in a “kids
kilo” in which every child wins.
Flagstaff Marathon 2022
Proceeds from the event go to the Coconino Community College
Cross Country team to help cover program and travel costs, as
well as athlete scholarships. Thanks to North Country Healthcare,
The Coconino Community College Foundation is thrilled to bring
this time-honored tradition back to the Flagstaff community
in support of our Cross-Country Comets. This event is a perfect
fit for the College and their budding athletics program by
promoting community connection, academic success, and athletic
achievement.

Legacy Strategies. We are honored to be
able to feature Cambium’s commitment to the Flagstaff running
community and access to education through this event. As our
$10,000 presenting sponsor, Cambium’s numerous benefits will
include their logo on all race attire, on all race bibs, the finish
line banner, and a mile marker sign along the course.
Featured Sponsors
For a contribution of $5,000 your company’s logo will be
featured on limited marketing and promotional material. Day-of
benefits include a mile marker sign along the marathon course
and your company’s logo on the finish line banner. Featured
sponsors will all have booth space at the finish line so feel free to
bring your company’s promotional giveaways.
Race Day Sponsors
For a contribution of $2,000 your company will receive a mile
marker sign along the marathon course, a booth at the finish line
and your logo on the finish line banner.
Mile Marker Sponsors
For $250 your company will receive a mile marker sign along
the marathon course. Signs must be 12” x 24” but we leave the
design up to you. Mile marker designs must be approved by
the CCC Foundation.
Aid Station Sponsors
Looking for a great team building opportunity for your
business? For $500, become an aid station sponsor where you
can creatively customize your station to your liking. At the end
of the race, runners will vote on the most memorable aid station
and the winner will receive a fabulous prize to share with the
team. Provide a team of 4-6 volunteers, your imagination, and
enthusiastic spirit! May the best aid station win!
