Saturday Excursions 2019 Little Explorers Programme, Eastbourne Little Explorers, Eastbourne 6–11yrs Sat 6 Jul London Transport Museum and Covent Garden (Cultural) Located in Covent Garden, the museum explores the connection between transport and the growth of modern London, its culture and society since 1800. Highlights include the iconic red London bus, the world’s first Underground steam train and the padded cell – a train carriage dating back to the 1890s. Sat 13 Jul Natural History Museum and Wildlife Garden (Cultural) Discover the natural world, its past, present and future and take a look at the magnificent specimens on show. From workshops, science shows to self-led activities, the museum is a world-class visitor attraction and a leading research centre. Sat 20 Jul ZSL London Zoo and Camden Canal Walk (Recreational) Come and see real animals, real characters and real adventures at ZSL London Zoo. It’s packed with wonder and amazement, with more than 750 species of animals to meet. Find yourself face to face with Asiatic lions, get up close with the Lemurs, the Monkeys and, if you’re feeling brave, Europe’s only walkthrough spider experience.
