Exclusive private-yacht flair Our crew of around 60 are there to ensure that all guests (a maximum of 94 travellers from all over the world) enjoy a unique cruise experience that is tailored to their needs. Many of our crew have been working together for years, forming an established team which meets guests’ needs with a smile and spoils them with culinary delights. Savour the classic maritime atmosphere and experience the proud sailing tradition in every detail. Whether on deck in the sun or in your comfortable cabin, you will soon find your favourite place on board. While away the days in the elegantly casual atmosphere of the Sea Clouds, and feel the stresses of daily life melt away with each nautical mile sailed. The true sailing experience Enjoy the best of both worlds – an exciting sailing adventure and a relaxing cruise. Feel the fascination of sailing every time you sit back and watch the crew hoisting the sails as in a bygone age. When the orders ring out over the decks of our two wind- jammers and the crew climbs the rigging, every single manoeuvre brings a centuries-old ritual to life. Everything is done manually and can be watched from close up – from loosening, tightening and adjusting the sails and carefully rewinding the ropes on deck, to polishing the brass and mending the sails. 3
Sea Cloud The legend beneath white sails A self-assured grande dame, a stylish yet informal sailing icon and a generous host – the Sea Cloud is a living legend. Built as a private luxury yacht in 1931 by the mil- lionaire couple Marjorie Merriweather Post and Edward Hutton, this ship combines extravagant charm with an authentic tall ship experience. Golden taps, splendid marble fireplaces, French antiques – as heiress to a fortune totalling several million dollars, Marjorie was able to let her imagination run free when it came to building her private yacht. A fascinating history The Sea Cloud became a stage for her eccentric lifestyle. Hollywood stars, politicians and diplomats often graced the decks of this windjammer. Even today every detail on board shines with the glory of a bygone age. The Sea Cloud’s elegance appears time- less; proof that this vessel has lost none of its uncon- ventional charm. Whether you are staying in one of its lovingly renovated original cabins, a cosy outside cabin or one of the former officers’ cabins, the Sea Cloud wel- comes each guest on board like a long-standing friend. 4
Sea Cloud ii Luxury cruise meets sailing experience Who says you cannot have it all? The tall ship Sea Cloud ii brings together the best of two worlds: This spacious three- masted barque offers all the amenities of a modern cruise ship whilst remaining a quintessential windjammer. There are many favourite places to be discovered on board the Sea Cloud ii. This yacht bears all the hallmarks of its older sister, the legendary Sea Cloud, and yet still has a charm all of its own. Expansive decks and generous cabins With its four expansive decks, amenities such as a sauna, gym and boutique, as well as the generous range of facilities on offer in its guest cabins, the Sea Cloud ii proposes exclusive comforts that are sure to impress even seasoned cruise goers. When the ship was built 18 years ago, we deliberately decided against a fully-automatic rig; this ship’s sails are hoisted and lowered the traditional way – by hand. This allows guests to enjoy the romantic tall ship experi- ence in refined exclusivity. Our 29 de luxe outside cabins, 16 junior suites and two owner suites accommodate a maximum of 94 guests on this voyage of relaxation. 5

Central America, Cuba and ABC islands From the inscrutable depths of the rain forest to vibrant metropolises, Central America and Cuba are blessed with an amazing abundance of nature and culture. Ancient traditions and colonial influence merge to a fascinating picture. In Central America, the Sea Clouds will bring you to natural wonders and World Heritage Sites with UNESCO’s very special seal of quality. Especially the Cuban cities show in a very vivacious manner why they are on UNESCO’s list. And while Spanish colonial times are evoked in Cartagena and Santo Domingo, you can discover the mysterious world of the Maya in Mexico and Belize. The ABC islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao are located off the coast of South America, but flirt coquettishly with their colonial heritage. Besides the narrow houses with their Dutch gables, colourful divers’ paradises are also to be enjoyed here. 10

The Lesser Antilles and the Grenadines The Lesser Antilles dot the turquoise-coloured Caribbean Sea like a dazzling pearl necklace. Bordered by the Virgin Islands in the North and the Grenadines in the South, this dream destination offers a colourful mixture of natural wonders and joie de vivre. The international sailing community meets on Virgin Gorda, St Barths, Îles des Saintes and Bequia – elegant and relaxed at the same time. When the sun twinkles through the palm trees and the toes are dipped deep into the warm sand, it is obvious: Idleness can also be a lot of fun. The British Virgin Islands entice with tropical dream beaches while the Tobago Cays and St Lucia are considered the Caribbean’s best diving and snorkelling areas. When travelling inland into the lush green interior of St Lucia, Grenada, Dominica and Tobago, you can enjoy deep volcanic lakes, roaring waterfalls and the tropical scent of thousands of blossoms and spices. 12

Spain, the South of France and Italy In the Mediterranean, everything flows together – people, culture, ideas and ideals. Italy is enchanting with its picture-book Tuscan views, the famous Amalfi Coast and the beautiful islands of Elba and Capri. France offers insights into the elegant life of the Côte d’Azur, whilst Spain captivates with the Balearic Island Mallorca as well as with its historic and modern cities: Valencia combines futuristic architecture with baroque facades, and Barce- lona’s magnificent avenidas are a harmonious display of majestic architecture, famous art nouveau and modern monuments. Southern Europe has become so multifaceted over time that there is always something new to discover: winding alleyways and elegant promenades, magnificent cathe- drals and Moorish remains, tranquil fishing villages and vibrant cities. The diversity of this great sailing area seems to be simply infinite. 20

The Adriatic Sea, Sicily and Eastern Mediterranean From the magnificent palaces of Venice to the white villages of the Cyclades, from the majestic Etna to Dubrovnik’s brick red roofs, our windjammers go on an exciting journey of discovery between Sicily, the Adriatic Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean. In the legendary Aegean light, the fabulous Cyclades and Sporades present their brilliant blue and white panorama. Among olive groves and pine forests, fine sandy beaches, old monasteries and antique sites, Greece shows itself as a pure idyll. On a cruise through the Adriatic Sea, thousands of new impressions await you every day: from charming towns like Venice, Dubrovnik and Bari to the baroque jewel Lecce and Ravenna with its gorgeous mosaiques. And when the Sea Clouds visit sunny Sicily, 3,000 years of cultural history, a legendary volcano, royal palaces and a divine panorama await. 22

Iberian Peninsula, Morocco Canary Islands and Cape Verde Whilst autumn winds are blowing the leaves from the trees elsewhere, the Iberian Peninsula, the Canary Islands and Cape Verde are still bathed in sunshine. The “Islands of Eternal Spring” impress with vast bea- ches and a vibrant urban scene, fine sand dunes and peculiar lava-sculpted landscapes. Due to their position between Europe, Africa and the Caribbean the Cape Verde Islands are full of contrasts which they combine in a truly fascinating way. With bustling souks, scents of oriental spices and elaborately designed sultan’s palaces, Morocco envelopes its visitors in a whirl-wind of bewitching sights, sounds and smells. The area is the perfect setting for our “Sailing Together” cruises. Sailing from Valencia to Casablanca, the two Sea Cloud sisters follow the same course for several days. When both yachts glide along side by side under full sail, they offer a truly breathtaking spectacle. 26
