A new ship …
With the SEA CLOUD SPIRIT, we are opening a new chapter
in the history of unique sea voyages that began 90 years ago
with our legendary flagship SEA CLOUD. As on her and the
SEA CLOUD II, which entered commission in 2001, vacationing
on our new three-masted full-rigged ship conveys by the
atmosphere and ambience of an exclusive private yacht.

We are launching the SEA CLOUD SPIRIT at a time when travel

Thanks to the Portuguese, Madeira first
appeared on maps in 1419. Since then,
one or two of the island’s export hits have
achieved worldwide fame: Madeira Wine, for
example, which inspired both the founding
fathers of the USA and Shakespeare. Or
Cristiano Ronaldo, who headed out from
Funchal to become a world-famous soccer
player. One tradition has remained true to
the island to this day: Above the island’s
capital, picturesque Monte towers in the hills.
The former home of the nobility and the rich
still sends its famous basket sleds down the
