This unusual species is endemic to the Virunga Volcanoes mountain chain. In the afternoon choose to explore the twin lakes on a walk followed by a canoe with a sundowner on board (additional cost). Day three: After an early breakfast drive to the Gorilla Tracking HQ and meet your guide, porter and the other people tracking the same family. Treks can take anywhere from 45 minutes to six or more hours. Once the allocated gorilla family is reached everyone has 60 minutes to enjoy the experience. Day six & seven: Ol Pejeta has a wide range of exciting activities included in the stay such as visiting the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary, meeting Barak the blind rhino and exploring their Conservation Centre. There are a huge number of other activities available including lion tracking with the rangers, a behind the scenes tour of the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Sanctuary to help with the feeding, visiting the K9 anti-poaching unit to learn how they protect their precious wildlife, a morning horse ride to see the last two remaining Northern White rhinos in the world or visiting the cattle ranch to learn about the interaction between livestock and wildlife (all at an extra cost).
