Originally established in 2011, Alpine Adventures specialises in
privately guided day tours for sightseeing, wine experiences,
hiking, heli-hiking and heli-adventures throughout Queenstown,
Fiordland, the West Coast and Mt Cook National Park.

Milford Sound
Private Tour with
Boat Cruise - Full Day
Immerse yourself in the magic of Milford Sound, known as the
“Eighth Wonder of the World” with a scenic boat cruise and option to fly back.
The best way to experience Milford Sound is with your own personal guide where we can stop along
the way for amazing photography, short walks and nature encounters. The highlights include Lake
Te Anau, Eglinton Valley, Mirror Lakes, Lake Marian, Homer tunnel, the Chasm and Mitre Peak.
Embark on a scenic 1 hour 45-minute boat cruise where you will experience first hand the sheer
scale of the fjords, majestic waterfalls, are likely to see New Zealand fur seals and on occasion you
may also spot dolphins or the yellow crested penguins. We have chosen one of the smaller boat
operators which are less crowded and more comfortable before returning to Queenstown.
Optional: Direct flight from Milford Sound to Queenstown by helicopter or fixed wing to arrive back
in Queenstown by 4pm and to experience both travel journeys.

Embark on a journey to the Mt Cook region renowned for its
glaciers, turquoise lakes, wide open valleys and snow-capped mountains.
Take a scenic drive through the rugged Kawarau gorge and through the dramatic Lindis Pass. Arriving
in Omarama, home to the merino sheep, Icebreaker clothing and visit the natural wonder of the Clay
Cliffs. Stop at the picturesque Lake Pukaki, a glacial lake that is famous for its milky turquoise colour
before we encounter the splendour of Aoraki/Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain in Mt Cook
village.
Optional: Mt Cook Scenic Helicopter Flight – 55 minutes flight around the top of Aoraki/Mt Cook and
a landing on the Tasman Glacier.
During summer, option to hike the renowned Hooker Valley up to the terminal lake where you will be

Indulge in a honey tasting experience and enjoy a selection of five artisan honeys from different parts

Discover a dramatic alpine day hike where the landscape
takes you on a journey with glaciers, waterfalls, sheer rock cliffs
and snowfields.
Rob Roy Glacier is in Mt Aspiring National Park, part of Te Wähipounamu meaning ‘Place of
Greenstone’ and is one of the special places in the world to be listed with UNESCO World Heritage
status.
Take a scenic drive up and over the Crown Range, through the Cardrona Valley, follow Lake Wanaka
and continue through the Matukituki Valley which leads us into spectacular Mt Aspiring National
Park.
We start at Raspberry Flats, it is a short valley walk, cross a swing bridge over the West Matukituki
River before a steady climb up through a small gorge alongside Rob Roy stream and journey through
native Beech forest. Rob Roy Glacier itself remains hidden for most of the trail, but now and then the
veil of native Beech forest slips to reveal teasing glimpses of white contrasted against the blue sky.
We are then rewarded with unobstructed views of the Rob Roy glacier hanging thousands of feet
above us, as you try to capture its grandeur and tranquillity.

We begin our hike in the renowned and sacred Tōpuni area of the Hooker Valley. Learn about rich

soaking up views across Mueller Lake and Mount Sefton.
Winding through the Hooker Valley keep an eye out for the Mount Cook buttercup (the world’s

Your heli hike experience begins as we transport you to your privately chartered helicopter at

Here we begin our unique hiking experience on this 11,000 ha sheep and cattle farm, spanning the
Hector Range to the Nevis River.

Your heli hike experience begins as we transport you to your privately chartered helicopter at
Queenstown Airport. Take in the panoramic views as we fly across shimmering Lake Wakatipu
towards Cecil Peak, before landing on the high-country station at a height of 1,978m (6,490 ft).
Cecil Peak Station offers exclusive access to Alpine Adventures’ unique heli-hiking experience on
their 13,000ha working farm. Renowned for their merino sheep and cattle, you will experience the
day-to-day workings of this remote alpine station in a rugged part of New Zealand.
Immerse yourself in the secluded wilderness of the station as we begin our hiking adventure.
Your personal guide will lead the way across deep valleys, down rugged spurs, through alpine
tussocks, discovering sparkling alpine streams and crystal-clear lakes along the way.

Alpine Adventures has exclusively partnered with Mt Rosa Wines to create this authentic experience
where you can taste the region’s finest wines while perched amongst outstanding alpine high-
country in one of the most remote and scenic wine growing regions in the world.
Your adventure begins as we transport you to Queenstown Airport to board your privately chartered
helicopter and ascend over beautiful Gibbston Valley to Mt Rosa Wines. We touch down to collect
Mt Rosa Wines owner Guy Boanas who will personally take you through the wine tasting. Returning
to the air, we soar above the rugged Kawarau Gorge with views as far as Mount Cook in the north and
the Nevis Mountain Range to the south, to land on top of Lowburn Station.
Located on the breathtaking Pisa Range, the station is a picturesque 5,000ha family working farm
with sheep, cattle and alpacas, boasting sweeping views across Lake Dunstan, Cromwell and
Bannockburn wine regions.
Guy will take you on a wine tasting journey of five Mt Rosa Wines including Central Otago’s distinctive
Pinot Noir. Indulge in a local artisan cheese board as you take in spectacular vistas across alpine
