We believe everyone will return home safely every day, and has a duty, to take care of themselves and those around them.” Russell Bradshaw, HSQE Manager We all look after one another and put the safety of everyone as our number one priority. We are all responsible and, if we see something that doesn’t look right, we have a culture which means we are confident to raise concerns, safe in the knowledge they will be listened to and acted upon. Safety is good business. Our health and safety management system covers all aspects of our business operations, which include ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001. We are Constructionline Gold members, and their Acclaim team is accredited to assess and award SSIP certificates on our behalf. We are also members of Safecontractor, whose SSIP scheme is also recognised by clients and other SSIP providers. As an organisation that is leading the way in understanding, identifying and supporting the need for good mental health in the workplace, we have invested in developing our managers and the workforce. MHFA England training is just one of the tools we use to educate our managers and teams, to spot the first signs of mental ill-health and give them the knowledge and confidence to help. Awareness of mental health & wellbeing issues at work is growing. For too long stigma and taboos have fuelled fear and misunderstanding around mental ill-health and prevented people from speaking out and seeking help. We are proud of the measures we have implemented and continue to strive to put in to place many positive interventions - from healthy food in the canteen, to gym membership, to resilience training - to help promote wellbeing. 24
