Numerous hole sizes, pattern placement options, custom shapes and variations PERFORATED PANELS GATEN SERIES
Gaten Series Patterns Available in a wide selection of gauges, materials, panel profiles, and colors, Gaten Series perforated panels are ideal for numerous applications including architectural design, passive solar shading, ventilation, acoustical solutions, and equipment screens. ATAS offers six standard hole size patterns, as well as custom options to fit any project’s design needs. Additionally, ATAS can color-match each side of the panels for applications where both sides are visible. ATAS provides a single source package for your project’s needs, including engineering expertise, structural hat channels and framing, corners, end caps, trims, and flashings. Contact your local product representative to discuss your project: www.atas.com/rep-finder An aluminum substrate is recommended for all perforated applications due to its inherent corrosion-resistant properties. Due to slight stress in metal materials and substrates to which metal panels are applied, installed panels may exhibit a perceived waviness in the flat areas of the panel. Commonly the period and amplitude of the waviness is dependent upon the continuous flat width of the panel. This condition is beyond the control of ATAS and consequently this perceived waviness or “oil canning” of the product is not a valid reason for rejection of materials. (Refer to ASTM E 1514, ASTM E 1637 and Metal Construction Association Technical Bulletin 1060 for further clarification). Inquire for availability. Colors are as close to the actual colors as modern printing allows. Exact color chips on request; this is a requirement for all premium colors. If you have requirements or preference for colors or finishes other than shown, contact ATAS. Color availability varies by material, gauge and profile. CRL GRS BASE SHOE GLAZING SYSTEMS MORE CHOICES crlaurence.com/base-shoe Typical Base Shoe Attachments 3 Base Shoe Attachment to Steel Substrate/Fascia Mount or Angle Mount Works With All 8B, B5A, B5L, B5S, All B6 and B7 Monolithic Series Base Shoe. Also Works With 9BL21, 9BL56, 9BL68, L21S, L25S, L56S, and L68S Laminated Series Base Shoe. If you are attaching a Base Shoe to a channel or angle from the side, this is called a Fascia Base Shoe Mount. Base Shoe should be attached to steel substrate prior to concrete being poured. Otherwise, drilling and tapping of steel may be difficult, if not impossible. Use of Weld Blocks may be a possible solution. CRL can fabricate the Base Shoe with side mount attachment Steel Plate by Others holes per your engineer's instructions. An alternative is to fasten an angle to the Fascia and mount the Base Shoe using the regular bottom mount method. Steel should be Concrete drilled to match hole locations in Base Shoe. Allowable fabrication tolerances may affect 12" (305 mm) centers. Alternative Methods 4 Base Shoe Attachment When Embedded in Concrete Works With B5T Series Base Shoe Base Shoe If planning and time permit, a poured in place Base Shoe is often preferred Concrete when an 'all-glass' look is desired. This eliminates any Base Shoe showing, and gives the impression that the glass comes directly out of the floor. A Tapered Base Shoe was developed for this application. When poured in place it is locked in by concrete. Mechanically fastening the shoe to Steel Plate by Others the substrate is still recommended during installation. There are many different ways to set the Base Shoe prior to pouring concrete. For more information or questions regarding the different mounting options contact Alternative Method CRL Railing Technical Sales. 5 Base Shoe Attachment to Embedded Steel Strip Works With All 8B, B5, B6, and B7 Monolithic Series Base Shoe. Also Works With 9BL21, 9BL56, 9BL68, L21S, L25S, L56S, and L68S Laminated Series Base Shoe. This attachment is often used in multi-story buildings with concrete floors. A 4" (102 mm) wide x 1/2" (13 mm) thick steel strip, drilled and Base Shoe tapped for screws with 12" (305 mm) centers (plugged or taped to prevent concrete penetration), is installed flush with the top of the concrete floor. To meet code requirements 3/8" x 2-1/2" (10 x 64 mm) Nelson® Studs are welded to the underside of the steel strip on 18" (457 mm) centers. For installation, remove the tape or plug from tapped holes and secure the Base Shoe with approved fasteners. Steel Steel Plate With should be drilled to match hole locations in Base Nelson® Studs Shoe. Allowable fabrication tolerances may by Others affect 12" (305 mm) centers.
