JUDGING PROCESS
Judging of the 2018 RQSFC will take place at the Old Museum, Bowen Hills during the Royal Queensland Show (Friday
10 August to Sunday 19 August). Judging is closed to exhibitors, and the public.
To ensure the integrity of the competition, anonymity of the Exhibits will be ensured. Exhibits are judged and are critically
and quantitatively evaluated for their commercial excellence, and quality attributes. Exhibits are not judged or ranked
against each other but are assessed on their own merits. i.e. more than one exhibitor can be awarded a gold medal.
Attribute scores for each Exhibit will be awarded, checked, and entered by the judging panel. Classes will be judged to
Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal. The process for determining the Trophy winner will be at the discretion of the Judging
panel. Only Gold Medal-awarded Exhibits are eligible for Trophies.
Awards may be withheld or restricted in any Class where Exhibits are considered unworthy or if insufficient entries are
available. The Head Judge, in consultation with the Competition & Event Manager, shall have the power to reallocate,
dismiss or disqualify as being ineligible for judging, any exhibit that, in their opinion, does not comply with the regulations
in every respect, and such reallocation, dismissal or disqualification shall be accepted as final.
The above instructions do not in any way limit or restrict any of the powers, discretions, rights, and duties conferred upon
the judges by the regulations or RNA’s powers under the regulations.
