EDITORIAL Dear business friends, Dear readers, Digitisation continues to pick up speed. Especially in technical, innovation-driven companies, fully automated processes are a part of everyday life. Basic condition for a smooth process: All other business processes must be coordinated – including fire prevention. KOMSA, a service provider for products and solutions of the digital world, is not only a leader in the distribution of smart phones and tablets but also storage systems. Small robots manage the space-saving AutoStore storage system. However, the compact design places particularly high demands on fire prevention. Read more about the solution that meets these requirements on Page 6. What do Aga Khan University in London, the Hungarian National Museum, and a small parts warehouse in Romania have in common? They all store valuable and irreplaceable items. Yet they are so different that the appropriate fire prevention solution must always be individually designed. You can find out how this was achieved in each case in the articles starting on Page 10. A small revolution took place in the nation’s operas and theatres. For the first time, operators were able to dispense with fire guards when artificial wafts of fog pass through the theatre. This is made possible by the TITANUS MULTI·SENS® air sampling smoke detector. More about this on Page 14. You can find out about these and many other topics in the latest issue of WAGNER Impulse. We hope you enjoy reading it. Torsten Wagner Werner Wagner Managing Directors of WAGNER Group GmbH P. S. How can we make fire protection and fire prevention even more attractive to you? Don’t miss out on our reader survey. Read more on the insert sheet. 2 WAGNER IMPULSE | 3/2018
