The penultimate round of this year’s BTRDA championship, the Woodpecker attracts many of the quickest national drivers competing today in the latest WRC machinery, as well as a full roster of historic rally machines. The Bo’ness hillclimb holds the distinction of being the oldest motor RallySport Media racing venue in Scotland. Many of Britain’s top drivers competed here in period, among them Jim Clark, Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jackie Stewart. The annual Bo’ness Revival sees the hillclimb course put to good use once again in celebration of Scotland’s motorsport heritage. This year, the event will pay tribute to double Formula One world champion Clark, Scotland’s first F1 title winner, 60 years after he made his one and only competitive appearance at Bo’ness. 5-8 September European Finals Santa Pod, Bedfordshire The FIA European Drag Racing Championship reaches its conclusion at Santa Pod in September for what promises to be the highlight of the Bedfordshire venue’s 2019 calendar. The ear-splitting 300mph Top Fuel dragsters will be in full voice, along with more than 20 supporting classes on both four wheels and two. There’ll be jet-car demonstrations on the drag strip, too, plus monster truck and stunt displays away from the quarter-mile, while for those brave enough there’ll even be a two-seat dragster giving exhilarating passenger rides. WHAT’S ON 13-15 September Goodwood Revival Goodwood Circuit, West Sussex There is no better evocation anywhere in the world of the early years of motor racing than the Goodwood Revival. Now in its 21st year, the three-day meeting is one of historic motor racing’s halo events. Highlights include the St Mary’s Trophy for Sixties touring cars and the RAC TT Celebration, where many of the world’s most valuable historic racing cars go wheel-to-wheel. The Revival attracts some of the biggest names in motorsport, too, with Juan Pablo Montoya and Jeff Gordon set to make their debut appearances this year. 14-15 September British GT Championship Donington Park, Leicestershire This year’s British GT title will be decided at the season finale at Donington Park. Following a closely- fought campaign in which no fewer than six different driver pairings have emerged as race winners, just six points separate the leading title protagonists. With two race wins apiece, Adam Balon and Phil Keen of Barwell Motorsport and Graham Davidson and Jonny Adam of TF Sport go into the two-hour race knowing victory will secure the 2019 title.
