L Sharpe reported that the cutover to v13.00.00 schema took place on the weekend 12 th to 15th February 2021. She thanked MPs for their support on that weekend. RMDS has now implemented the seven MCRs that made up that package in the release. We are reaching the end of the Plan on the page which is great to see. In ROI Smart Data Services became available last Friday 26th February 2021. V13.00.00 Market Release Documents All v13.00.00 market documentation and the CoBL has been updated and is available on the RMDS website. RMDS sent out an email detailing this along with a summary of the final amendments that were made since the last re-versioning activity which took place on 2nd September 2020. In NI, the hypercare calls have finished. In ROI, hypercare calls for Smart Data Services are taking place every morning at 10:00 at the moment. Outages • There are no outages scheduled for March as of yet. • Full outage details are available, as usual, on the RMDS Website. 6. De-harmonisation Update L Sharpe reported that from an RMDS point of view, there will be a separate workstream ongoing for the governance part of the system separation project. It will look at how the change control process and market forums will all work. RMDS will give MPs updates on this as the project moves along. G McHale presented slides on system separation in Section 7 ESBN/NIE Networks Update. 7. ESBN/NIE Networks Update G McHale & K Kennedy presented the ESBN/NIE Networks Update. System Separation Project Update G McHale presented slides on System Separation Project Update. Refer to slides for details. G McHale reported that ESBN & NIE Networks issued the market plan to all Suppliers on 24th February 2021. The plan is also available on the RMDS website. There are a few key activities that will require attention between now and the end of April: ESBN & NIE Networks issued the EMMA specification and Technical Questionnaire documents to Suppliers on 26th February 2021. The EMMA Specification is specifically for the dual Suppliers and the technical questionnaire is for all Suppliers. Page 4 of 6
NIE Networks and ESBN are currently reviewing the webforms “Look & Feel” Overview document which will be issued to MPs this week on 5th March 2021. NIE Networks and ESBN are not changing the functionality of the webforms and is very much trying to keep the look and feel very similar to what Suppliers currently have. It is just a different solution and the database will be the same. It will give Suppliers early visibility of how that will look and will provide that reassurance. If there are any comments on the webforms that Suppliers would like to provide. NIE Networks and ESBN will give instructions how to do that whenever it issues the document out itself. Both assurance bodies in NI and ROI jurisdictions have been mobilised. They are currently looking to work through the assurance approach. That will be developed and approved by the RAs by 9th April 2021. ReMCoDS will issue this out the MPs directly after that approval. The other key activity is that NIE Networks asks that dual MPs’ infrastructure/environments must be ready for their EMMA deployment by 30th April 2021. There are three elements to this project, and NIE Networks and ESBN have called out the particular areas as we move through the plan, i.e. system separation and moving to the new hub for dual Suppliers, the upgrade of the TIBCO components and the webforms. NIE Networks and ESBN will continue to provide updates in terms of the progress throughout the project, what the key activities are and the next activities that are due. NIE Networks and ESBN will call out what resources will be required from a Supplier perspective so there will be separate reports from a market assurance point of view. NIE Networks and ESBN has asked for technical contacts to be made available. These technical contacts will receive all the information and will be able to engage directly with Atos in terms of any requirements e.g. access to Suppliers’ environments to be able to carry out activities. There will be continuous engagement as we work through the project itself. TIBCO Outages K Kennedy presented slides on TIBCO Outages Refer to slides for details. K Kennedy reported that we are seeing a reduction in the number of unplanned outages which is good. They are starting to come down to more normal levels compared to what would have been seen in the earlier part of last year. It is good to see them moving in the right direction. In February there were eighteen unplanned Supplier outages. There was one Supplier contributing to a lot of those outages. 8. CRU Smart Metering Update L Fahy provided a SMART Metering update. • Deployment of Smart Meters is still on hold as a result of Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions. ESBN will be monitoring closely the Government advice supposed to come in April to see about recommencing deployment. • V13.00.00 went live since our last meeting which was a great achievement for everyone involved. She thanked MPs for that. CRU is now looking at phase 2 planning and functionality over the next year to eighteen months. • From a CRU perspective, it is progressing policy decisions for Smart in March, i.e. Smart PAYG and also guidance on the primer. 9. Next Steps & AOB No AOB was raised. J Bracken thanked MPs and said he appreciated all the support and help over the last number of weeks as v13.00.00 went live. It was a major milestone and he wants to note and record the appreciation from ESBN to everybody on the call. Next ReMCoWG: • Wednesday 28th April 2021 was due to be in Dublin but can safely assume that we will be holding the meeting virtually. Page 6 of 6
