KNR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES, ANDHRA PRADESH WARANGAL - 506007 PROSPECTUS FOR ADMISSION INTO POST BASIC B.Sc., NURSING 2 YEARS DEGREE COURSE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21 I. REGULATIONS A) These Regulations are applicable for admission into Competent Authority Seats in Government and Private Nursing colleges. B) All the Candidates shall fulfill the regulations for admission into Post Basic B.Sc., (N) 2 years Degree Course for admission into Competent Authority Seats. C). Candidates shall apply for admission into the colleges affiliated to KNR University of Health Sciences in the state of Telangana. The online application form will be available on the websites https://tsparamed.tsche.in from 10.00 A.M. on 18- 01-2021 to by 7.00p.m. 27-01-2021. D). The candidates are advised to take a print out of the prospectus / instructions to fill the application form from the website www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in before proceeding to fill the application form E). The Rank notified after verification of certificates by KNR University of Health Sciences, shall be the basis for selection into Post Basic B.Sc., (N) 2yd course into Competent Authority Seats. F). The Post Basic B.Sc., Nursing Degree Course is 2 years in Government Colleges is for Women Candidates only. The Seats in Government Colleges are only for Women Government Service Candidates. G). The names of the Nursing Colleges to which these regulations are applicable and the number of seats available will be notified on website before counseling, subject to affiliation for the academic year 2020- 2021. G) In obedience to the orders of Hon'ble High Court Male candidates are permitted to apply for admission into Nursing colleges willing to admit Male candidate. NOTE: 1. The admissions into the colleges are subject to affiliation by University for the academic year 2020- 2021 and permission from Indian Nursing Council.
2. Distribution of seats among various categories for admission in the above colleges (seat matrix) will be displayed at the time of counseling. 3. In case of any new college(s) are affiliated to the University before the date of counseling, the seats in those colleges also will be filled- up. No further notification will be issued. 4. The names of the colleges with number of seats that are affiliated will be displayed at the time of counseling. II. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION IN TO POST BASIC BSc., (NURSING) COURSE: The candidates should be of Indian Nationals or persons of Indian origin (P.I.O) / Overseas citizen of India (OCI) card holders or Foreign Nationals. The P.I. O’s, OCI Card holders and Foreign Nationals shall submit No Objection Certificates from Nursing Council of India for admission into Post Basic B.Sc., Nursing course. Only Women Candidates are eligible for admission into Post Basic B.Sc., (N) 2 Years Course in Government colleges. Educational Qualifications: 1. Candidates seeking admission into Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) Course should have passed Intermediate Examination. or Any other equivalent examination (10+2 pattern) recognized by the University in Telangana or Board of Intermediate Education Telangana or NIOS, TSOSS – Indian Nursing Council Regulations. & 2. Should have passed General Nursing and Midwifery from an institution recognized by the Govt. of Telangana or Nursing Council of India and shall be registered with the State Nursing Council. (Eligibility Criteria is as per G.O.Ms.No.269, HM & FW (K2) Dept., Dt. 30-11-2009 as amended in G.O.Ms.No.194, HM & FW (K2) Dept., Dt. 07-07-2011, G.O.Ms.No.40, HM &FW (K2) Dept., Dt.18-02-2012 and orders issued by Government of Telangana from time to time.
3 Government Service Candidates: Only Female candidates who have completed 2 years of service as a staff nurse in Medical and Health Department and Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad as on 30.06.2020 are eligible. Service certificate as a staff nurse should be enclosed issued by the respective employer and must be a regular employee. Service certificate, regularization orders as staff nurse should been closed. 4. Age: Candidate should have completed 21 years of age and should not be more than 45 years of age as on 31stDecember of the year of admission. In case of SC / ST Candidates the maximum age shall be relaxed by 3years. Note:1. Candidates born on or after 02-01-1999 are not eligible as they do not complete 21 years of age. 2. Candidates born on or before 31-12-1975 are not eligible as they are over aged and in case of SC/ST candidates born on or before 31-12- 1971 are not eligible. 3. A person born on 1st January of a year will complete one year on 31 st December of the same year. 4. Age shall be calculated on the basis of date of birth as indicated in the Secondary School Certificate examination or equivalent examination. 5. No request for relaxation of age of a candidate shall be entertained. III. CATEGORIZATION OF SEATS: As per G.O.Ms.NO.330, HM&FW (K1) Department, dt.11-11-2011, in Private institutions Sixty percent (60%) of the total number of seats shall be filled as competent authority seats by university. Forty percent (40%) seats shall be filled as management seats by the Managements of Private Colleges. In respect of the Government colleges 100% Nursing seats shall be Competent authority, will be filled by the University.

1. Click on the Mobile and Email Registration. The candidate should have a valid /working Mobile and Email Id. OTP will be sent to registered Mobile and Email Id at different stages. The candidate should keep the Mobile and Email Id active till completions of the counselling process. The candidate has to enter OTP’s received to mobile and Email Id for registration and Verification of Mobile and Email Id. 2. After entering the details click on validate button.
3. If all the details entered are correct and verified with OTP’s your system will display a successful message and proceed to registration form 4. Registration Form appears in which Candidate has to give the details. 5. After entering the details click on validate button it will take you to the Payment Gate way for payment fee. 6. If all the details entered are correct your system will display payment reference number Button to proceed for payment. Depending on your caste category the Registration fee is varied. Once paid you will not get any refund. Hence, you are requested to double check the eligibility conditions mentioned in the Prospectus yourself and pay the fee. 7. Now you will be directed to the Payment Gateway, Click OK 8. Select mode of payment
9. After payment you will receive a Successful Payment message on the screen and you will receive the Registration number to your mobile. Please note down the registration number for further correspondence 10. For updating the details of the candidate enter Roll Number and the Registration number sent to your mobile and click on validate button to enter into the Application form.
11. The application form will be displayed as shown below. You have to fill the details and upload Passport Size Photo and Signature(Note: Scanned photo and Signature should be less than 100 KB and in JPEG or JPG format)
12. After filling the form, click on Save and Exit Button. This process can be repeated till all the data you entered are correct using Data Updation link on the Home page. Then click on Upload Certificates Button to proceed for document attachments.
13. After uploading all the required certificates, Click on Save and Print, You will get your filled in application form, take printout of this form for further assistance. If you click on Print Application button you will get earlier saved data. 14. Sample of Filled in Application.
Do's and Don'ts Do not use mobiles, tabs & Ipads. Use Desk tops Computers or Laptops with Internet Explorer. Do not select or enter false information which can be liable for Criminal Action. IV. RESERVATION OF SEATS FOR SCHEDULED CASTES & SCHEDULED TRIBES. Out of the available seats under Competent Authority Quota for admission by the University 15% for SCs and 6% for STs shall be reserved. If any seat reserved for the Scheduled Tribes is not filled up they will be open to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Vice- Versa. If the candidates from Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes are not available these reserved seats shall be re-allotted to candidates of open category on the basis of merit. Candidates from the Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes belonging to Telangana State for castes which are notified in the list as per the Telangana Government orders will be considered against the reserved seats. V. RESERVATION FOR BC CANDIDATES: 29% of the seats available for admission by the University, for B.Sc., Nursing 4years degree Course shall be reserved for candidates belonging to Backward Classes and shall be allotted among the five groups of Back Ward Classes as follows: - BC-A-7%, BC-B-10%, BC-C-1%, BC-D-7% and BC-E-4% as per theG.O.Ms.No.1793, Education, dt.23.09.1970 and G.O.Ms.No.23, Backward Classes Welfare (C2), dated. 07-07-2007 and G.O.Ms.No.231, Health Medical and Family Welfare (E1) Department, dated.11-07-2009. Only those Candidates who belongs to these castes of the States of Telangana which are listed in the Government orders shall be considered under the respective categories. If qualified candidates belonging to Backward Classes of a particular group are not available, the left over seats can be adjusted for the candidates of next group. If qualified candidates belonging to Back Ward Classes are not available to fill up the 29% seats reserved for them, the left over seats shall be treated as Open Competition seats and shall be filled up with candidates of open competition on the basis of merit. While calculating the number of seats in the Sub-categories if the total number of seats falls short of or exceeds 29% it shall be limited to 29% by adding or eliminating the candidates on the basis of merit in the sub- groups in which the fractions were rounded to nearest figure. VI. CERTIFICATION OF CASTE: Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Backward class candidates shall in support of their claim, have to furnish permanent caste certificate issued by the competent authority of Government of Telangana The social status of the candidates who have applied for the seats reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes shall be scrutinized as per the rules notified by the Government of Telangana from time to time. The decision of the verification officer deputed by the Director / Commissioner of BC Welfare, SC Welfare and ST Welfare from the Government of Telangana is final in all respects.
Candidates from the Scheduled Castes , Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes belonging to Telangana State for castes which are notified in the list as per the Telangana Government orders will be considered against the reserved seats. VII. RESERVATION FOR WOMEN CANDIDATES; 33 1/3% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e., Open category, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Classes Group A,B,C,D and E. This regulation of guarantee shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category form 33 1/3% or more of the seats therein. When the number of women candidates falls short of this percentage, it would be made up by replacing the last selected male candidates by women candidates in that category. VIII. RESERVATION UNDER PWD CATEGORY: Out of the available seats for admission by the KNR University of Health Sciences, 5% shall be reserved for the Persons with disabilities (PWD) in each categories of OC, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC- C, BC-D and BC-E. As per Government of India guidelines. The candidate seeking the benefit of reservation should present him/herself before a Medical Board constituted by the University comprising of at least one Expert/Specialist from the specialty of Orthopedics of Medical Board. The decision of the Medical Board constituted by the University is final. Once the PWD status is confirmed, merit is to be taken into consideration for allotment of seat. IX. RESERVATION FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES: 85% of the seats shall be reserved for local candidates and remaining 15% unreserved seats will be filled by applicants as defined in regulation 12 IX. i. DEFINITION OF LOCAL AREAS a)The part of the state comprising the districts of Adilabad, Hyderabad, (including twin cities), Ranga Reddy, Khammam, Karimnagar, Medak, Mahaboobnagar, Nalgonda, Nizamabad and Warangal shall be regarded as the Osmania University Area. b) The part of the State comprising the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasam shall be regarded as Andhra University Area. c) The part of the State comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore shall be regarded as Sri Venkateswara University Area. NOTE: Candidates defined under IX i, - b, c are treated as Non-local candidates.
IX. ii. DEFINITION OF LOCAL CANDIDATES 1. A candidate for admission shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area. a) If he/she has studied in educational institution or educational institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared in the relevant Qualifying Examination. b) Where during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for Intermediate Examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institution, if has resided in the local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of relevant examination in which he/she appeared, or as the case may be, first appeared then he/she becomes a local candidate. 2. A candidate for admission to the course who is not regarded as a local candidate under sub regulation above in relation to any local area shall a) If he/she has studied in educational institutions in the State for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination be regarded as a local candidate in relation to. i) such local area where he/she has studied for the maximum period out of said period of seven years. ii) where the periods of his/her equal, such local area where periods study in two or more local areas are he/she has studied last in such equal. b) If, during the whole or any part of seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or as the case may be first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions in any local area, but has resided in the State during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as local candidate in relation to i) such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years, ii) Where the periods of his/her residence in two or more local areas are equal such local area where he/she has resided last in such equal periods 3. Explanation – For purpose of this Sub regulation. a) “Educational Institution” means a college, a school imparting education upto and inclusive of tenth class, or other institutions by whatever name called whether managed by Government, Private body, local authority or University and carrying on the activity of imparting education there in whether technical or otherwise and includes a Polytechnic, Industrial training Institute and a Teachers Training Institute but does not include a Tutorial Institution. b) Relevant qualifying examination for admission in to B.Sc., Nursing 4 yea’s degree course of study means a pass in the examination, which is the minimum educational qualification for admission to such course of study Note: The relevant qualifying examination for admission to B.Sc., Nursing degree course being Intermediate or its equivalent examination, the question whether candidate is a local candidate or not will be determined with reference to the first appearance in the Intermediate examination or equivalent examination even in the case of an applicant is possessing B.Sc or M.Sc. Degree.
c) a) In reckoning the consecutive academic years during which a candidate has studied, any period of interruption of his/her study by reason of her failure to pass any examination, and; b) Any period of his/her study in a State-wide University or State wide educational institution shall be disregarded. d) The question whether any candidate for admission to any course of Study has resided in any local area shall be determined with reference to the places where the candidate actually resided and not with reference to the residence of her parent or guardian. While determining the number of seats to be reserved in favour of local candidates under regulation 11.1 any fraction of a seat shall be counted as one Provided there shall be one Unreserved Seat. If a local candidate in respect of a local area is not available to fill any seat reserved or allocated in favour of a local candidate in respect of that local area, such seat shall be filled in as if it has not been reserved. e) Applicants who claim to be local candidates with reference to regulation. 1. shall produce evidence in the form of study certificate/certificates issued by the Heads of Educational Institution/Institutions concerned, indicating the details of the year or years in which the candidate has studied in educational institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic years in which he/she appeared or as the case may be, first appeared for the Intermediate examination or its equivalent. Those who do not qualify as local candidates under sub regulation. 2. but claim to qualify by virtue of residence under regulation above shall produce a certificate issued by an officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of a Mandal Revenue Officer in the form annexed in G.O.Ms.No.628 Education, dated the 25th July, 1974, (appended to the application) 3. Applicants who claim to be local Candidates under regulation above shall produce evidence in the form of study certificate issued by the heads of the Educational Institution / Institutions concerned indicating the details of the year or years in which the candidate has studied in the respective educational Institutions for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared, or as the case may be first appeared for the Intermediate Examination or its equivalent. Those who do not qualify as local candidate under the regulation 12 (a) but claim to qualify by virtue of residence under regulation 12 (b) shall produce a certificate of residence issued by an officer of the Revenue Department not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer in the form similar to that Annexed to G.O.Ms.No.628, Education, dated 25thJuly 1974 with necessary modifications (appended to the application). IX iii. UNRESERVED SEATS The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for admission to the 15% of Unreserved seats: All candidates defined under regulation IX ii Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding period of study outside the State or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a period of ten years excluding periods of Employment outside the State (Certificate to the effect from a Revenue Official not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer from where the candidate is claiming eligibility should be enclosed). Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this state or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi-public Institutions within the State. (Certificate from the Head of the Institution/Department should be enclosed).
Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, University and Educational Institutions recognized by the Government, a University or other competent authority and similar other quasi Government institutions within the state. (Certificate from the Head of Institution/Department should be enclosed). X. MERIT LIST: Final Merit List will be displayed on the website of University (http://knruhs.telangana.gov.in). Verification of Certificates of candidates applied on-line will be done at the specified help-line centers as per the schedule to be notified later. The Final merit list shall be prepared by the Under Graduate Admission Committee appointed by University subject to these regulations. In case of equality of marks in GNM , the total percentage of marks secured in intermediate shall be given higherplace In case of equality of marks in GNM and intermediate, the age shall be taken into consideration and the elder candidate shall be given higher place in the merit list. XI. METHOD OF SELECTION: University will notify final merit list in the web-site after verification of Original Certificates. Candidates who have attended in person along with Original Certificates and who fulfilled eligibility criteria are considered for admission and will be notified through final merit list. Attending along with Original Certificates to the verification of certificates as per schedule notified is mandatory. Custodian Certificates are not permitted. Proxies are not allowed. The candidates who are in the final merit list are eligible to exercise web-options for admission. There is no limitations inweb-options. XII. PROCEDURE OFSELECTION: Selection will be made by the Selection Committee appointed by Vice- Chancellor, KNR University of Health Sciences based on the web-options given by the candidates and their merit. Selections shall be made local area wise as per the procedure prescribed in Annexure-III of G.O.P.No.646, Education (W) Dept. dated 10-7-1979, as amended in G.O.Ms.No.42, Higher Education (EC2) Dept., dated 18-05-2009. The Selection Committee will allot a candidate seats to the Nursing College based on their web-options and merit. Selected candidates will receive the allotment message on the registered mobile number after allotment of seat if allotted. Selected candidates have to download the allotment order on payment of University fee of Rs. 6,000/- (Rupees Six thousand only ) besides payment gateway charges through payment gateway and report to the Principal of concerned college along with all Original Certificates and pay the tuition fee as fixed by Government at the college to complete the admission process or fee notified by the Government of Telangana from time to time.
The schedule for verification of original certificates and counselings will be notified later. XIII. CLOSURE OF ADMISSIONS: Admissions will be closed after the final round of counseling and as per the date notified by the University. Vacancies arising after closure of admission shall not be filled. XIV. POWERS OF THE PRINCIPAL OF THE INSTITUTION :( COMMON FOR ALL ADMISSIONS UNDER KNRUHS) 1) Notwithstanding anything contained in these Regulations, the Head of the Institution may at any time, either su-moto or an application made by any person after due and proper enquiry, if satisfied that the candidate has furnished incorrect information or enclosed false certificates or fraudulently obtained admission may for the reasons to be recorded in writing, by order cancel her admission provided that no such admission shall be cancelled without giving a reasonable opportunity for showing cause as to why his/her admission should not be cancelled. 2) Against any such order of the Head of the Institution, an appeal can be made to the Registrar, KNR University Health Sciences. XV. POWERS OF KNR UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES: The University may either su-moto or on an application made to University can call for and examine the records relating to any selection or admission or cancellation thereof made by the concerned authority for the purpose of verifying the correctness, legality or proprietary of such selection or admission or cancellation and pass such order in relation there to as KNRUHS deems fit, including cancellation of the selection already published or admission already made, provided that the Univer sity may, before canceling such selection or admission, give an opportunity to the authority and to the person affected to show cause against such cancellation. XVI.UNIVERSITY IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY OF SELECTION PROCEDURE: All selections made under these regulations shall be subject to such directions or orders as may be made by the University from time to time.
XVII. REGULATION FOR BREAK-UP STUDY: If a student absents continuously for a period of 91 days or more and seeks permission to attend the course, his / her application in prescribed format by paying requisite fee in favour of Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences payable at Warangal shall be forwarded to the Registrar, KNR University of Health Sciences with the recommendation of the Principal. Regulations for re-admission after break of study along with application format and fee payable is available in the University. The candidates are advised to refer the regulations before submitting the application and paying the fee. If they fulfilled the regulatory conditions, they may submit applications through the Principal of the College by paying the fee. XVIII. TIME FOR COMPLETION OF COURSE: Candidate should complete the course within the duration equivalent to double the period of course of study .i.e.,: 4 years for PBBSc 2YDC. XIX. ALL ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES ALONG WITH SELF ATTESTED COPIES TO BESUBMITTED AT THE TIME VERIFICATION AT COUNSELING CENTER. 1) Print out of on-line application Form. 2) SSC or any equivalent examination showing date ofbirth. 3) Memorandum of Marks of the qualifying examination for admissioni.e. Intermediate or Equivalent Examination. 4) GNM Marks memo and pass certificate. 5) Nursing council registrationcertificate. 6) Transfer Certificate from the Institution in which the candidate laststudied. 7) Candidates who have studied in the state of Telangana/A.P. (a) If the candidate has studied in any educational institution, study / bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate shall besubmitted. (b) A candidate who has studied in 2 or more institutions in Telangana / A.P., study / bonafide certificate from VI to Intermediate in those places shall besubmitted. (c) A candidate who has not studied in any school / institution, a residence certificate for that period only shall besubmitted. (d) Candidates who have not studied in any school / college in the state of Telangana but resided in Telangana with private study in Telangana & seven years’ residence certificate mentioning the period of residence preceding the qualifying examination (6th to Inter) by the candidate claiming eligibility as a local by virtue of residence shall besubmitted. 8) Candidates who have studied in the institutions outside the state of Telangana have to submit 10 years’ residence certificate of the either of the parents issuedby MRO to claim seats under unreservedcategory. 9) Latest Permanent Caste Certificate in case of Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes/ Backward Class Candidates issued by competent authority of state ofTelangana. NOTE: Self Attested copies of the above certificates shall be submitted along with the filled in application form. i) The admissions into the colleges are subject to affiliation of the Universityfor the academic year2020- 2021. ii) In case any new colleges are affiliated to the University for the academicyear 2020- 2021, the seats in those colleges also will be filled up. No further notification will be issued. iii) The names of the colleges with number of seats that are affiliatedafter notification will be displayed at the time ofcounseling. iv) Distribution of seats among various categories for admission in the above colleges will be displayed at the time ofCounseling.
