LOGISTICS OF STUDIO Parents’ Room Parents and Visitors may wait in the Parents’ Room during classes; however, please limit accompanying guest to ONE parent or guardian per dancer. The parents’ temperature will be taken and a mask is required at all times while in the studio. Hand Sanitizer will also be provided before entering the studio. Parents are asked to bring dancers on time to their respective class. Since we are operating mainly through the front door, the door will be locked 10 minutes after class begins. If the dancer arrives later than 10 minutes for their class, they will have to enter through the back door. Masks on, temperature taken, and hands sanitized at the back door before entering. When late, Parents may want to drive to the back and drop the students off, since it is a good distance around the building. When class is over, the dancers will be escorted out through the front entrance. COVID-19 Procedures 1. Staff members will have temperatures checked, hands sanitized before entering, and will be wearing face coverings throughout the duration of class. 2. Students’ temperatures will be taken at the door before entering into the studio. Masks should be on before entering the studio. Students are also required to sanitize their hands before and after class. If the student has a temperature, the parent will be asked to take the student back home. 3. Parents are asked not to bring/send their children to class if they or a member of their household, is exhibiting any COVID-like symptoms or were around others with Covid-like symptoms. 4. Parents are asked not to send their children to class if they or a member of their household, has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days. 5. We ask that each parent and dancer do not arrive earlier than the stated time of the class. The class before will end 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the upcoming class, to ensure that we release dancers in an orderly fashion. 6. Social distancing measures have been taken at the studio. Social distancing dots will be placed on the floor six feet apart so that dancers can ensure spacing is adequate and appropriate during dance class. Chairs in the Parents’ Room are also spaced for social distancing. 7. After students’ temperatures are taken, dancers will be provided hand sanitizer to clean their hands upon arrival and departure. (Masks are worn at all times)
8. Mrs. Sondra will be cleaning bars, chairs, and other surfaces that are often touched between each class. Mrs. Gloria will sanitize the bathrooms. She will recheck after each class. 9. Students are required to wear masks due to COVID-19, and will have their temperature taken upon arrival at the studio. Student Sign In & Sign Out Wonderfully Made School of Dance is requiring parents to sign students in at the beginning of each class and sign students out at the end of each class. Adults do not have to sign IN or OUT. This provides Mrs. Sondra as well as other WMSD Personnel with security when children are being picked up. Monthly Newsletter A monthly newsletter will be available to keep you informed of the upcoming events and dates. In addition to the newsletter and website, parents will be able to view information on the BAND app (the communication application for parents and dancers). Attendance/Bad Weather/Make up Classes Every class will start promptly at the time stated. Attending each class is imperative, UNLESS student is ill (cold, fever, flu, etc.) or someone in family tested positive for COVID-19. Students must attend the majority of classes in order to participate in the Spring Recital . We understand that if the student is quarantined, they will not be able to attend class for a period of time. Mrs. Sondra can make arrangements to view the class via Zoom, only in these cases. Please discuss with Mrs. Sondra if this applies to the dancer at any point in the season. There will be no refunds or deductions for missed classes. Arriving late for class is disruptive to the class and it is unfair to the students and the instructor. Students should arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to their class time and wait in the Parents’ Room with parent/guardian. Students must remain in class until dismissed by the instructor. Class Placement Students’ Class Placements will be determined according to the age and ability of the child. The instructor will observe the students’ progress throughout the year. Student Withdrawal If for some reason, a student is not able to complete the season, please email or text Mrs. Sondra or Mrs. Gloria as soon as possible. We need written documentation in order to drop student from WMSD. Tuition is still due for the month that the student dropped from WMSD.
