WORKSHOPS: MEDICINE, PHYSIOTHERAPY, PHARMACY 11.00 - Medicine Workshop Simulation 15.00 The Medicine Workshop will run from 11am until 3pm. You are welcome Floors, to explore our state of the art wet lab where our surgical trainees learn Level 3 - 5 new skills. Visit our mock operating theatre and watch our mannequins in No 26 action, including mannequins which simulate birth. Take a tour of our in and out patient rooms and learn new skills such as taking blood pressure, casting and suturing. This workshop is self guided 14.30 - Pharmacy Workshops Sign up at reg- 16.00 The pharmaceutics lab workshop involves a hands on experiment where istration desk, students get to make alginate microparticles – this activity demonstrates Ground Floor real pharmaceutics formulation and analysis processes in a fun and No. 26 York St interactive session, and gives a taste of some of the actual material from 14.00 taught in the MPharm programme This workshop has limited capacity and places are available on first- come, first-served basis. 14.45 - Physiotherapy Workshops Sign up at reg- 16.15 This workshop has limited capacity and places are available on first- istration desk, come, first-served basis. Ground Floor The practical-based physiotherapy workshops will highlight the use No. 26 York St of three-dimensional movement from 14.30 analysis in physiotherapy and how it helps us in understanding hu- man movement and making decisions about people with problems affecting walking, balance and other disorders. Attendees will also get to chance to learn about the role of the musculoskeletal phys- iotherapist in the prevention of ankle sprain, including screening procedures, exercise and taping TOUR 13.30 Tour of the Anatomy Rooms Meeting Point: 14.00 The Anatomy Rooms have been a feature of the College almost Front Hall, York since its foundation in 1784, and have evolved a number of times St Building, 123 over the years. Join a Department of Anatomy tour and see how St Stephens anatomy is taught across our undergraduate health science pro- Green grammes. Priority will be given to students for spaces in workshops.
