Friday Pot Games Cash Payouts TIMES All players must tee off by 2:00 pm. **HANDICAPS AS OF THAT DAY** FORMATS Announced weekly ENTRY FEE $20.00 cash plus cart fee or trail fee. Accompanied guests are welcome and are responsible for appropriate guest fees. All skins are birdies or better. DEADLINE Notify the golf shop upon arrival of your intent to play. ELIGIBILITY Members and accompanied guests. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. Guests need a current USGA handicap, and must present their updated handicap card prior to playing.
Men’s Bandits TIME: Players must start prior to 1:00 PM Make your own foursome. FORMAT: The format will change each weekend. **HANDICAPS AS OF THAT DAY** PAYOUT: Based on weekly formats. ENTRY FEE: $15.00 member charge plus cart fee or trail fee. Optional individual gross skins game - $10.00 cash. All skins are birdie or better. DEADLINE: Notify the golf shop upon arrival of your intent to play. ELIGIBILITY: Participants must be 18 years of age and have a current USGA handicap to participate.
Grand Slam Cup Saturday, April 11, 2020 TIME: Players must register on or before the above date. FORMAT: Players must participate IN AT LEAST 3 MAJORS -- the Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open Championship. Players will have a NET score for each event and we will add the 3 best NET scores from the 4 majors to determine our winners **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT** ENTRY FEE: $40.00 Club Entry Fee Purse-Shop Credit 1st 50% 2nd 30% 3rd 20% ELIGIBILITY: Participants must play in at least 3 of the 4 majors at the club. If you play in all 4 events then we’ll take your 3 best NET scores for this Grand Slam Cup. If you only play in 3 those 3 scores must count. Men’s Black-Ball Event Saturday, April 18, 2020 TEAMS/TIMES: Players will sign up and the Golf Shop will make teams and assign starting times. **HANDICAPS WILL AS OF APRIL 17** FORMAT: 4-Man ---Two-Best Ball –with 1Best Ball the “Black Ball” Teams will be drawn using the ABCD format. Teams will count the 1 Best Ball of 3 Players & the Black Ball per hole. Players will rotate from hole to hole playing the Black Ball. Players will receive 100% of their USGA Handicap. All “4” players will play the 17th and 18th holes and record a score for their team and we’ll draw the black ball player for those two holes—upon completion of the round. TEES: Players may play from Black-Blue-or Copper Tees. Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. ENTRY FEE: $25.00 cash entry per player. $15.00 cash per player skins—2 NET SCORES--TEAM SKINS GAME ELIGIBILITY: Golf members 18 years of age or older with an established USGA handicap. Spring Shamble Saturday, May 2, 2020 TIME: 7:30 am Breakfast 9:00 am Shotgun Start Lunch upon completion of play **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF APRIL 29** FORMAT: Four-person “Shamble” (pick your own team). 80% of player’s handicaps will be used. All four players will tee off and select the best drive. After you have selected the best drive the hole is played out at stroke play, with members of the team playing their own ball into the hole. You must select two drives per player. Scoring will be 1-2-3 best balls… Par 3’s – 1 Best Ball Par 4’s – 2 Best Balls Par 5’s – 3 Best Balls TEES: Players may play from Black-Blue-or Copper Tees. Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. Women will play from the Plum Tees Players must decide on the tees they are playing upon registration. If no tee is selected then the player will be assigned the Blue Tees ENTRY $65.00 per person plus cart fee for Golf members; $85.00 per person plus FEE: cart fee for non-golf members and guests. Optional $40.00 cash gross team skins game (birdies or better). Includes a full breakfast, guest fees, lunch, and awards. ELIGIBILITY: All male and female Rattlesnake Ridge members and accompanied guests with a valid USGA handicap. This round does not count towards the round limitations for non-golf members.
Women’s Twilight Tuesdays May 5 - August 25 TIME: Shotgun start at 6:00 pm **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT FORMAT: Formats will vary week-to-week. The schedule of each week’s format will be posted in the women’s locker room. ENTRY FEE: $12.00 member charge plus cart fee. ELIGIBILITY: Participants must have a current USGA handicap.
Men’s League Wednesdays May 6 – July 29 Playoffs - August TIME: Shotgun Start at 6:00 pm. **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT** FORMAT: Two-Man Team Better Ball (80% handicap) League play will consist of two, six-week sessions followed by the playoff finals. The league will consist of two flighted divisions. The format is round robin with teams playing one 9-hole match each week. There will be a nightly purse for each division. Teams will accumulate weekly match points based on the number of holes won. At the end of each six-week session, league points will be allocated to teams based on their division standings. At the end of the two six-week sessions the top eight league point earners in each division will advance to the playoffs. Each team’s players will be responsible for attending and playing their scheduled match each league night. If one of the players on a team is unable to play, that team is responsible for finding a substitute player. In the event a substitute player cannot be found, a blind partner will be drawn from the nights field. ENTRY League Fee - $250.00 per player member charge plus weekly cart/trail fees. FEE: Optional flighted gross skins game - $20 cash per team. All skins will be birdie or better. Couples Twilight TIME: Shotgun start: May 8 @ TBD - Glow Ball June 12 @ 5:30 pm - Live Music July 10 @ 5:30 pm - Couples Guest Night August 8 @ TBA - Couples 18-Hole Event **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT** FORMAT: Various formats will be used. Dinner will be available in the Grill Room. ENTRY TBA: Golf members pay an entry fee per couple plus cart fees. FEE: ELIGIBILITY: Participants must be 21 years of age or older. Men and women who are not on the same membership are welcome to play as a couple. This event is open to all members.
PGA Championship Friday, May 15, 2020 TIME: Players make their own tee times and play with their own groups. **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT** FORMAT: Players will receive 100% handicap and will draw numbers to find out who their professional partner will be for Saturday and Sundays rounds. The number will correspond to the order of finish at the completion of Fridays round according to pgatour.com. Final scores will be a combination of the member’s Friday score and the PGA Tour Players total weekend score, Saturday and Sunday. ENTRY $25.00 member charge plus cart or trail fee FEE: Optional gross skins game - $10.00 cash All skins are birdie or better ELIGIBILITY: All members 18 years of age and older with a current USGA handicap.
Two-Man Match Play Championship Saturday, May 16, 2020 – Sunday, May 17, 2020 FORMAT: Two-Man Better Ball match play (100% handicap calculated off of the low player’s ball in each match). Teams will be placed into a bracket and will play a 9-hole round robin tournament within their bracket. Bracket winners (best overall record) will then play off for the championship. All ties will be broken by a sudden death playoff. **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF MAY 13** TIME: 9:00 am Shotgun TEES: Players may play from Black-Blue-or Copper Tees. Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. Players must decide on the tees they are playing upon registration. If no tee is selected then the player will be assigned the Blue Tees. ITINERARY: The deadline to sign up will be Wednesday prior to event. Flights will be posted Friday prior to event. Teams will play three 9-hole matches on Saturday and two 9-hole matches on Sunday. The shootout will be immediately following play on Sunday. ENTRY $125.00 per player (member charge) plus cart fee. Includes full breakfast and FEE: lunch both days, and awards. ELIGIBILITY: All golf members 18 years of age and older with a current USGA handicap.
Memorial Day Tournament Monday, May 25, 2020 TIME: Players must start by 1:00 pm. Old Pal-Qualifer & Bracket Play PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE 3 POINTS FOR RATTLESNAKE CUP Saturday, May 30 TIME: 8:30 AM Shotgun **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF MAY 27** **HANDICAPS FOR MATCHES—WILL BE DAY OF MATCH** FORMAT: Two-Man Net Best Ball Qualifier with players receiving 90% of their handicap. 16 teams will qualify and be placed in the money bracket for match play. Teams qualifying score will be used for seeding purposes. There will be a small payout for the top 4 teams of the qualifier. **TIES WILL BE SPLIT DOLLARS** **SCORECARD PLAYOFF FOR SEEDING PURPOSES** STARTING WITH THE #1 HANDICAP HOLE **SUDDEN DEATH PLAYOFF FOR THE 16TH POSITION** The 16 teams in the money bracket will schedule their own matches following the deadline dates posted. EVENT POLICIES: NO EXCEPTIONS TO DEADLINE DATES—THERE WILL BE A TEE TIME SET AT 12 NOON ON THE DEADLINE DATE FOR THE MATCH TO BE PLAYED IF NOT COMPLETED BEFORE THE DEADLINE DATE. PLAYERS PRESENT ON THAT DAY/TIME WILL PLAY THE MATCH. Men’s Club Championship MATCHES WILL BE SCHEDULED AND PLAYED BY PARTICIPANTS ON OR BEFORE POSTED DEADLINE DATES Brackets will be posted Friday, May 29. **HANDICAPS AS OF MAY 29 FOR BRACKETS** FORMAT: Match Play- Flights will be determined by handicap index and will have 8 players per flight with the exception of Championship Flight with no cap of the number of players. Championship Flight - Black Tees Any player may sign up to play in the CHAMPIONSHIP Flight Players with a 3.0 handicap index or lower will be placed in the CHAMPIONSHIP Flight. The Final Match for Championship the flight will play 36 holes. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all male Rattlesnake Ridge Golf members 18 and older. All participants must have a current USGA handicap. ENTRY FEE: $40.00 member charge for awards- plus cart or trail fee. $20.00 Cash Entry- Cash Prize for Flight Champions ENTRY DEADLINE: Registration and cancellations must be received by Wednesday, May 27. SPECTATORS: Spectators are permitted and encouraged for this special club event. Please ask all spectators (friends and family) to stay clear of other players and refrain from speaking to tournament participants during the round. ‘The Rattlers’ Junior Golf Program at Rattlesnake Ridge Golf Club This junior golf program consists of seven weeks of instruction. The Junior Rattlers will meet each week on Thursday mornings, from 9:00 to 10:30 am, for a clinic and instruction with our Golf Professionals 2020 Schedule June 11, 18, July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Fee $195/Member $220/Guest This fee includes a junior ‘Rattler’ golf shirt, hat and miscellaneous prizes and gifts. Registration Deadline May 15, 2020 The success of the program will depend on early registration and the number of participants. 20th Annual Men’s Invitational Thursday, June 25, 2020 - Saturday, June 27, 2020 **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF JUNE 18** ITINERARY: Thursday: 1:00 pm Pot game/practice round shotgun begins. 6:00 pm Dinner, the putting contest, closest to the pin, and island green contests will begin. Cash bar will be located in the Grill Room. 6:30 pm Gifts and information packets will be distributed and the wager window will open. Friday: 7:30 am Practice facilities open. FORMAT: The field will be split into flights based on the team’s total handicap index and all matches will be handicapped off the low player’s ball. Each team will play five 9-hole matches against all teams in their flight. All matches will be played in a better ball format. Awards will be presented to the flight champions as well as the overall champions. The overall champions will be determined through a shootout with all flight winners. ENTRY FEE: $40.00 per person (member charge) plus cart or trail fee. Optional gross skins game $10.00 cash per person each day. All skins are birdie or better. MENS FLIGHTS: Junior Flight Age 24-49 Blue Tees Pre-Senior Flight Age 50-59 Copper Tees Senior Flight Age 60-69 Copper Tees Super Senior Flight Age 70+ Silver Tees The Senior Division (Gross Scores) will serve as the qualifier for the Senior Club Championship Match Play Event. Women’s Gross/Net Championship Sunday, July 26, 2020 TIME: Tee-times will begin at approximately 11:00 am. **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF JULY 22** FORMAT: Format will be 18-holes of medal play with winners determined in both gross and net divisions. The Women’s Club Champion will be the low score in the gross division. All play will be from the Plum Tees. Spectators are permitted and encouraged for this event. Players will receive 100% of their handicap in this flighted event. ENTRY $30.00 per person, member charge plus cart or trail fee. Includes all awards. FEE: Players may provide their own caddy for this event. ELIGIBILITY: Participants must have an established USGA handicap. ENTRY Wednesday prior to the event. Men’s Member-Member Saturday, August 1, 2020 - Sunday, August 2, 2020 TIME: Saturday 7:00 am Full Breakfast 8:30 am Round 1 (Modified Alternate Shot 40% of Handicap) 11:00 am Round 2 (Modified Scotch Ball – 1 Best Ball) 1:30 pm Round 3 (Scramble 10% Team Handicap) Lunch following play. Sunday 7:00 am Full Breakfast 8:30 am Round 4 (18-hole Best Ball 90% of Handicap) Lunch and awards following play. **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF JULY 29** FORMAT: Players may play from Black-Blue-or Copper Tees. Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. Players must decide on the tees they are playing upon registration. If no tee is selected then the player will be assigned the Blue Tees. The field will be split into flights and all formats will be handicapped. Each team will play 9-holes of scramble, combined team net, and alternate shot, and 18-holes of best ball. The team with the best total net score in each flight will be considered the Flight Champion. The flight champions will participate in a shootout to determine the overall Member-Member Champions. ENTRY $115.00 per person (member charge) plus cart fee. FEE: Includes full breakfast and lunch both days, and all awards. Teams can be all members or a guest couple with a member couple. ENTRY Team Entry Fee $125.00 Per Couple (member charge) plus cart or trail fee. FEE: Includes dinner, awards and special events. ELIGIBILITY: All men and women who are members of the club. Social and Associate members are eligible. Men and women not on the same membership are welcome to play together as a couple. Labor Day Tournament Monday, September 7, 2020 TIME: 7:00 am tee times begin. Make your own foursome and tee times. Players must tee off by 1:00 pm. **HANDICAPS WILL BE DAY OF EVENT** FORMAT: Black Ball Format - Foursome Game Players receive 100% of the USGA Handicap Players may play from Black, Blue or Copper Tees. Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. PLEASE NUMBER YOUR PLAYERS 1 - 4 SO YOU KNOW WHO’S PLAYING THE BLACK BALL; THEN WE CAN IDENTIFY THE BLACK BALL PLAYER FOR HOLES 17 & 18. Teams will count the 1 Best Ball of 3 Players & the Black Ball each hole. Players will rotate from hole-to-hole playing the Black Ball. All “4” players will play the 17th and 18th holes and record a score for their team. We will draw the black ball player for those two holes upon completion of the round. Rattlesnake Cup Friday, September 25, 2020 – Sunday, September 27, 2020 FORMAT: Ryder Cup Formats **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF SEPT. 23** ENTRY FEE: $125.00 Includes all meals, gifts, awards, and cart fees. TIME: Friday $20 Pot game (Bandits format). Team dinner following play for participants only. Saturday 9-hole Two-Man Better Ball – 100 % 9-hole Modified Alternate Shot –Straight Up 9-hole Two-Man Scramble –Straight Up Sunday 18-hole individual matches 100% of handicap off low man Closing awards follow play TEAMS: Teams will consist of fifteen Rattlesnake Ridge members and one golf professional. The golf professionals will be deemed team captains. The top 30 point earners will qualify, with 2 golf professionals being the team captains. ELIGIBILITY: Qualifying will be based on a point system awarded for participating in events throughout the year, see below for details. Players must be at least 18 years of age. QUALIFYING: The following men’s events count toward Rattlesnake Cup qualifying: Wednesday League*, Bandits*, Spring Scramble**, Black Ball**,Men’s Old Pal *** Two-Man Match Play***, Memorial Day*, Medal Play Championship***, Member – Guest*****, Independence Day*, Labor Day* Member – Member***, Club Championships***, and the four Major Championships*. There are no automatic bids for the Rattlesnake Cup. *Denotes amount of participation points awarded. Points will accumulate through the Labor Day Tournament.
Men’s Pro-Am Invitational Friday, October 9, 2020 TIME: 11:30 am Lunch 1:00 pm Shotgun Start Heavy appetizers and awards upon completion of play. **HANDICAPS WILL BE AS OF OCT. 7** FORMAT: Pro-Am event with three-man teams being paired with a local golf professional. Two Best Balls of the foursome with 90% of handicap. We will have a gross skins game for all players in the tournament playing from the Blue Tees. The golf professionals will be playing for a cash purse. AM Players may play from Black, Blue or Copper Tees. AM Players age 70+ may play from the Silver Tees. Golf Professionals will play from the Blue Tees. Thursday, October 8th - Live Auction - Bidding for your golf professional. Please have at least one team member present for the auction. If you cannot represent your team, then a blind draw will be used for the remaining golf professionals. All teams must account for the mininum bid dollar amount. MINIMUM BID of $75.00 per team for your golf professional. Auction dollars will make up the purse for the golf professionals. Entry fee dollars will cover the member purse and prizes. Calcutta Wager - $150.00 Cash Payout - 50% - 30% - 20% ENTRY FEE: Golf Members $75.00 plus cart or trail fee. Entry fee includes deli buffet lunch, heavy apps, awards and special events. General Information Players must have a minimum of five (5) 18-hole scores posted from Rattlesnake Ridge before May 15, or prior to participating in the first major event – the Two-Man Match Play. STARTING TIME POLICY, GUEST & COURSE INFORMATION - NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY - Prior to play, each member should schedule a starting time. This provides the staff with a schedule of play which will help us better service the membership. - Members may schedule starting times seven days in advance. Members may bring unlimited guests Tuesday – Friday and after 11:00 am on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Prior to 11:00 am on Saturday, Sunday and holidays guest play is limited to one guest per member within each tee time. - Guests are limited to five days of golfing April through October. Guests may play unlimited rounds of golf November through March. - The use of any speaker systems during play or on practice facility will be permitted so long as it is not disruptive to others. The Club Staff will handle any issues or complaints. - Each member is responsible for registering in the golf shop prior to play. Members who do not check in are subject to all fees charged to their account by the golf staff. - Jeans or denim, of any color or style, are not permitted on the golf course or practice facilities at any time, in- or out-of-season. - Anyone late for his or her starting time will be rescheduled as soon as time is available. It is not club policy to work the late group into normal play. - Non-playing spectators may be permitted from time to time during extremely slow playing times. Prior permission is needed from the professional staff prior to arrival. Please do not show up and expect permission to be granted. Spectators are responsible for their portion of the golf cart rental fee. No more than two people will be permitted on one golf cart. - Pace of play is important to Rattlesnake Ridge. If an issue arises, please call the Golf Shop. As a reminder, single players and twosomes do not take precedence over threesomes and foursomes. - Fivesomes are not permitted without special permission being granted by the professional staff. Times when fivesomes may be permitted will be reserved to extremely slow days, when there is no play scheduled behind the group requesting to play as a fivesome. - Proper golf etiquette is expected. Please respect the golf course and practice facilities. This includes fixing ball marks, replacing and sanding divots on the course and driving range, raking bunkers, and by always keeping carts on the cart path on all par 3 holes and around all tees and greens. Obey daily cart rules and never drive golf carts into the tall fescue grass.
Handicaps - All rounds should be posted. This includes 9-hole rounds and incomplete 9- and 18-hole rounds. In the event of picking up on a hole, post your most likely score. Pick up inside the length of the flag, strokes taken plus one. Pick up outside of the flag, on the green, strokes taken plus two. Pick up before reaching the green, strokes taken plus estimated strokes to finish the hole. The golf professional staff is available for assistance. - All scores must be entered into the handicap system, both home and away. Make sure to adjust your score before entering it into the computer. There is a maximum score you can take on any given hole depending on your handicap. If you pick up on a hole, record the score you most likely would have had, but no more than your maximum listed below. - For those who do not enter all scores or the correct score the Handicap Committee reserves the right to enter a penalty score and ratings equal to the lowest handicap differential in the player’s scoring record. The Handicap Committee also reserves the right to adjust handicaps as needed for tournament play. - Members must have an established USGA handicap to participate in club related golf events. ***The Golf Professional Staff will be responsible for posting all tournament/event scores*** Tournaments & Entry Fees - Tournament participants must have five (5) 18-hole rounds (same year) posted in GHIN system prior to the first major event, Two-Man Match Play - Tournament fees will be charged to the members account. - Tournament prize money will be paid out in golf shop credits. - Golf shop credits earned before July 1 will expire on July 31. Credits earned on or after July 1 will expire October 31.
Pace of Play 1) In accordance with the USGA Pace Rating System, a round of golf shall not exceed: 4 hours and 17 minutes (18-holes) / 2 hours and 6 minutes (9-holes) 2) “Ready Golf” – Players are expected to be ready to hit their next shot, regardless of position. “Ready Golf” encourages players to move on to the next tee before stopping to mark down scores, thereby making the green available to approaching players. 3) Walkers are encouraged to adhere to the pace of play and / or step aside if they cannot keep up with the group in front of them. 4) “Course Monitors” – During peak playing times, The Rattlesnake Ridge PROFESSIONAL STAFF will be monitoring the golf course for proper pace of play and course etiquette. When needed, The Professional Staff will enforce the following “Slow Play Policy”: When a player or group is deemed to be behind the stated pace of play: 1) Issue a warning to the player or group. 2) If the player or group does not improve their pace upon the completion of the next hole, the player or group will be moved to the proper location on the course. Non-Golf Member Event Eligibility Associate and Social members may participate in the following golf events and activities provided they have a current and valid USGA handicap… These event rounds DO NOT COUNT toward the in-season round limitation...
