AR R I V I N G AT T H E V E N U E • NOTE: We are running a different site setup this year. • Di rections - As you near the Castl e, pl ease stop fol l owing your Sat Nav and fol l ow ‘Castl e Race Seri es’ si gnage to ensure you’re di rected to the correct car park. • Car Park - The car parks are l ocated off Rectory Lane, j ust 5 mi nutes from the Hol ding Area and 10 mi nutes wal k from the Event Vi llage. • Arri val Ti me - You need to arri ve 1 hour and 15 mi nutes before your start ti me (eg. 12.00pm wi ll be the wi ndow for those wi th a start ti me of 1.15pm) • Pl ease al l ow ampl e ti me to access the Car Park and get al l of your equi pment out of the car, pl us a few mi nutes to get to the Hol di ng Area. • You w ill be sent your specific w ave group number relating to your Start Time. Our marshal s wi ll use thi s number to organi se the Hol ding Area and you wi ll onl y be al l owed to enter the Hol ding Area 1 hour and 15 mi nutes before your race. • One hour before your race you wi ll be al l owed, al ong wi th rest of your wave group, to enter the Event Area. You wi l l then make your way up to Regi stration. Your spectator may arri ve at anyti me throughout the course of the day.

Pl ease adhere to the soci ally di stanced queuei ng system. • En-route to regi stration, spectators wi ll be marshal ed towards the l eft, and i nto the Event Vi llage and Fi ni sh Area. • Pl ease have your QR CODE ready (found on your Confi rmation Emai l) when approachi ng regi stration. • On arrival at a Registration desk, you w ill collect your pack and produce your QR CODE • The QR CODE can be produced on your phone or as a pri ntout. Thi s code wi ll be scanned by our devi ces to confi rm your booki ng and assi gn your race number to your name. • Your batch of race packs wi l l be i n open boxes on the Regi stration tabl es, you wi ll be di rected to the correct pack. At this event there will be races across six disciplines including triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, aquathlon, swim only and run only. This means individuals and their families cand compete and complete races together. The following pages detail information specific to your race discipline. DISCIPLINE SPECIFIC INFORMATION

SWIM • At S-20, you wi ll be asked to make your way down to the fi rst of two hol di ng areas at the swi m arri ving there at S -9. • There wi ll be a hol di ng pen that wi ll al l ow al l wave group to remai n soci ally di stanced. • At S-6, secti ons of your wave group wi ll be cal l ed through to the 2nd hol di ng area whi ch i s on the ri ght -hand si de of the Loggi a and affords a vi ew of the swi m route. • The Swi m Manager wi ll then gi ve an ori entati on bri efing on the swi m buoys and where you wi ll need to swi m to, to compl ete your di stance. He wi ll al so bri ef you on any l ast -minute changes to the cycl e and run courses (i f necessary) and, al so reaffi rm the si gnage to fol l ow and the numbers of l aps that you must compl ete. • Fi nal ly, at S -3 you wi ll move over to the l eft -hand si de of the Loggi a to begi n your race. Your ti me wi ll start as you wal k over the ti mi ng mat. No di vi ng i s permi tted due to the shal l owness of the l ake at thi s poi nt. • There wi ll be approxi mately 6 seconds between each competi tor enteri ng the water. If you have a sl ow swi mmer i n front of you, pl ease overtake on the ri ght and l eave ampl e di stance between you. • NOTE: The steps can be very sl ippy – take care!
SWIMMERS Swim Course Wetsuits & Water Temperature • The route is clearly marked by buoys. • W etsuits are optional but adv isable as Canoeists will be on hand to guide and they not only keep you warm, but also help where required.
