(1) Professional Conversion Programme (PCPs) (2) Rank-and-File Place-and-Train Programmes (3) Career Transition Programmes by CET Centres Jobs Support Scheme (Temporary Scheme for 2020) Employers receive 8% cash grant on the gross monthly wages of each employee (Singapore Citizen and Permanent Residents) from October 2019 to December 2019, subject to 35 monthly wage cap of $3,600 per employee. Employers can expect to receive the JSS Payment from IRAS by 31st May 2020, computed based on CPF contribution. COS 2020 Other Resources| MOM Communities of Supply 2020 Senior Worker Support Package 1) Senior Employment Credit Employers get wage offsets, ranging from up to 2% to 8% depending on the ages of Singaporean workers, aged 55 and above earning up to $4,000. 2) CPF Transition Offset *More details coming soon!* Employers to receive 1 year of wage offset, equivalent to half of an increase in employer CPF contribution rates in 2021 for every Singaporean and PR workers aged above 55 to 70. 3) Senior Worker Early Adopter Grant Provides companies up to $250,000 to raise both their retirement and re-employment ages above minimum statutory requirements ahead of time. The total eligible funding will be capped at 50 senior workers per company. 4) Part-time Re-employment Grant Provides up to $125,000 to employers who commit to offer part-time re-employment opportunities to eligible senior workers upon their request. The total eligible funding will be capped at 50 senior workers per company. Matched Retirement Savings Scheme Match cash top-ups made to CPF Retirement Account up to $600 annually from 2021 to 2025, to eligible seniors aged 55-70. Open Door Programme (ODP) The ODP aims to encourage employers to hire, train and integrate PwDs into the workplace through the following : • Job Redesign Grant: supporting up to 90% of the job redesigning costs (excluding GST), capped at $20,000 per employee with disability, whichever is lower. • Training Grant: course fee subsides of up to 95% for training courses with prior approval from SG Enable, provide Training Commitment Award of $100 per completed course under SG Enable’s list of curated training courses. • Recruitment and Job Support Services: registered ODP employers will receive recruitment assistance as well as job support services from SG Enable and its appointed partners. COS 2020 Other Resources| MOM Communities of Supply 2020 Strengthening the Foreign Workforce Control • Raise salary threshold for exemption from the Fair Consideration Framework job advertising requirement from $15,000 to $20,000 from 1 May 2020 • Raise Local Qualifying Salary threshold from $1,300 to $1,400 from 1 July 2020. The threshold determines the number of locals that count towards a firm’s quota to hire S Pass and Work Permit holders. • Raise Employment Pass minimum qualifying salary from $3,600 to $3,900. The qualifying salaries for older and more experienced EP candidates will also be raised in tandem, from 1 May 2020 Support for Job Redesign under Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG-JR) Participating companies will receive the following for approved projects: • Up to 70% funding, capped at $30,000 per company • Have up to one year from the date of application approval to complete their job redesign project On top of the above funding support, companies can also tap on the SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) to defray out-of-pocket (OOP) expenses. COS 2020 Other Resources| MOM Communities of Supply 2020 Workfare Skills Support (WSS) Scheme Increase incentives for workers to complete Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) and Academic Continuing and Education Training (CET).
