Sustainable ball pens The 54th Symposium on Procurement and Logistics will be the first time – followed by all our subsequent events – that we use ball pens, made from renewable resources, that are both long-lasting and biodegradable. Green electricity is used for their manufacture from organic plastics and they are completely manufactured in Germany. Green Engage Initiative of the InterContinental Hotels Our congress hotel and its employees practise the handling of resources in full awareness of their value. Electricity is generated completely from renewable energy sources; the establishment’s own combined heating and power plant produces environmentally favourable electric and ther- mal energy; biodegradable cleaning agents and a greater proportion of recyclable substances are used. You will be given the login data at check-in. Image Rights – Transfer of Rights As in previous years, we would like to capture some impressions of this year’s symposium as well in pictures. We have engaged teams of professionals to take the photographs. However, the photographs will be produced and published exclusively for use in public reports about the association’s activities and for its own promotional purposes. The transfer of the images to third parties for commercial purposes is not intended. If you, a participant at the symposium, do not agree to the publication, please notify the photographer or the camera team either by a hand signal or at check-in. Use of RFID/Name Tag We are once again using the RFID-supported system for congress admission this year so that you enjoy the greatest convenience at the location. Your name tag with integrated RFID trans- ponder is your ticket for admission to the event. Please always attach your name tag in a clearly visible position. In addition, we would like to ask you to carry an official photo document with you that you can use to identify yourself should there be any problems with your name tag. A new feature this year is that, subject to your consent, our exhibitors can scan the information on your name badge. This saves you ha- ving to exchange business cards and you will receive the product information directly by email. If you prefer an anonymous assignment of the identification number to your data while at the event, you can request the change at check-in during the congress.
