in person pre-COVID photo Girl Scout Get-Togethers Let’s get together — following coronavirus safety guidelines — for badge events at Camp Pamunkey Ridge. Each event costs $15 per girl and includes materials, supplies, in-person instruction and badge. Registration for each event will be capped at 50: 40 girls and 10 adults. Everyone must wear a mask, maintain six feet of social distancing space and follow other COVID-19 guidelines. Sign up now in COMAR. Triangle Rock Club C S A Adventure Climbing for Cadettes 10 a.m.-noon April 17 $25 Adventure Climbing for Seniors and Ambassadors 4-6 p.m. April 24 $25 Triangle Rock Club adventure climbing includes a two-hour exclusive climbing event for Girl Scouts, rental harnesses and staff belayer assistance. Girl Scouts will learn the basics of the sport of rock climbing, review climbing terminology and practice belaying techniques. Trained staff members will work with girls to ensure they meet their goals and push themselves to new heights! Virginia is the first state to honor the full scope of women’s achievements in state history. The monument includes seven bronze statues of women representing four centuries of Virginia history. What to expect at an event Girl Scout events are designed for girls at all levels to discover new things, connect with other girls and take action in their communities. The result? Girls gain leadership skills without even knowing it. All Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia sponsored events are fun, interactive, held to the highest standards and developed to meet the needs of all girls. Events are facilitated by staff members, volunteers, community partners or girls. When registering, be sure to include the girls in the process. Discuss their interests, review costs and let the girls decide what activities they want to attend: This is the girl-led process in action! Do accompanying adults need to be registered members? Unless stated otherwise, all in-person events and activities are members-only events. This means that all girl and adult attendees must be current members of Girl Scouts. To ensure the safety of all Girl Scouts, adults attending events must have a current Girl Scout membership and background check on file.
