READY TO RISE TO THE CHALLENGE?
Dear everyone at VINCI Energies,
Our last adventure at sea, the 2020 Vendée Globe, was a huge success:
we managed to save more than 100 children together!
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your contribution. We
would never have done it without you.
Now I’d like you to set sail with me, on the Virtual Regatta challenge, to
add a cause to your skipping: I hope to see you at the start of the
Transat Jacques Vabre, this November 7!
I can’t wait to start this new adventure with you all.

AWAKEN YOUR INNER SKIPPER!
Virtual Regatta is an online multiplayer regatta and offshore race simulator
that has partnered with the top sailing races.
At the helm of your Imoca monohull, solo or in a team, you will set out at
the same time as the real-life Transat Jacques Vabre on November 7 and
follow the exact same itinerary as the professional skippers. You will need to
deal with real-life weather conditions and wind forces to steer your
monohull – and you can customise it when you sign up.
It’s an opportunity to compete with professional skippers and your peers
while supporting Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque!

HOW IT WORKS
To sign up, you need to create your fundraising page on Solidarity Effect before 29 October 2021.
You can sign up by yourself or in a team – that’s entirely up to you (up to 6 people per team).
Students must include the name of their school in the title of their fundraising page.
Customise your fundraising page and ask people around you to help you reach your goal, i.e. raise
€50 (or €20 if you’re a student) for Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque by 29 October 2021.
Once you reach your goal, you will receive your Virtual Regatta login ID and password by email.
You will find your boat there on 3 November – to start braving the Atlantic Ocean on November 7!

THE INITIATIVES-CŒUR PROJECT
VINCI Energies has been working with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, a
non-profit, since 2017, through the Initiatives-Cœur charitable sporting
initiative.
The Initiatives-Cœur boat proudly features the non-profit’s name and
logo, and takes part in the top races (Route du Rhum, Vendée Globe,
Transat Jacques Vabre) to raise the public’s awareness of it.
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque Enfants du Monde enables children with heart defects to come to
France for a medical operation when they cannot receive treatment in their home country due to
a lack of financial or technical resources.
