Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. If, because of riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund shall be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors, & spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors, & spectators is of paramount importance, and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. THE SHOW COMMITTEE / SUPERINTENDENT will use due care & diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging, but NO EARLIER THAN 7:00AM. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-giving club and the Superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards, or runners, for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. Dogs need not be at the show until their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the x-pens. CANINE COURTESY All dogs shall be kept under control at all times. You are responsible for picking up after the animals in your care. PLEASE RESPECT OUR HOSTING SITE! EXERCISE DOGS IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY There will be pooper scoopers and containers on the grounds. PLEASE USE THEM. REFUNDS IF made will be in the same system as the original payment. Either by check, if check was mailed or by PayPal if entry was done on-line. Erie does not, at this time, charge an administrative fee for entries cancelled prior to close of show. Effective January 1, 2021 Refund checks are void after 180 days and will NOT be re-issued. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendations to assure their dogs are free from internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. * * * * * * * COVID-19 Notice * * * * * * All persons entering the show site must execute a COVID-19 waiver and by entering this show, fully attest to the best of their knowledge that they do not have COVID-19 or been exposed at the time of attending the events. They also attest that they have NOT been in contact with or exposed to any known carrier of COVID-19 within the past 14 days or been directed to self- quarantine. They agree that they are attending the shows entirely at their own risk and take full responsibility for their own health and safety during the events. They will follow all American Kennel Club (AKC), Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club-USA (NSDTRC-USA, requirements, procedures, protocols and guidelines to reduce any exposure and possibility of contracting or spreading the virus. They will also follow all CDC, Federal, Palm Beach County, Florida regarding COVID-19. Entrants must wear facemasks at all times in the show ring. 6-foot social distancing must be maintained everywhere on the show grounds. TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS: Please visit Travelers (FL.gov) for the most current information on travel restrictions into Florida Any entries that must be withdrawn prior to the test due to updated travel restrictions will receive a refund from the club minus the superintendent’s fee. Please take a moment and read the following Covid-19 policy for the test: NSDTRC- USA Show Committee will be implementing measures to help increase the safety of our exhibitors and judges. The following measures will be implemented and required on the test day: • We will have hand sanitizer available to use as you approach the ring and after leaving the line. You are also responsible for bringing your own sanitizer to use when you are not at the line. • Social distancing practices must be followed. Do not gather in groups, or closer than 6 feet from one another. • All those in attendance must have their own face covering (nose and mouth) in their possession. Face covering must be worn at all times on the show grounds, in the show ring, and in the parking lot. The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected and is not a substitute for social distancing. • Wash or sanitize your hands often and before touching your face or eating food. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands and make sure to wash or sanitize your hands after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. Avoid shaking hands or hugging. • If you are sick, feel sick or ill, or, if someone you live with or have been in close contact with is sick or ill, do not attend the show. • If you have a pre-existing/underlying health condition or at high risk for severe illness from COVID-19, please do not attend the test. • If you become or feel ill during the test, you must leave immediately. Any exhibitor who begins to feel ill during the test, must scratch and leave immediately. Contact the test secretary for a refund. • Bring your own food, there will be no food served at the show grounds. Pack out everything you pack in. • No person may attend the event who has not entered a dog in the event without getting permission from the show secretary. Spectators will be limited depending on the number of entries, if permitted at all, and will be given permission of a first come first serve basis. By entering, you acknowledge that there will be an inherent risk in attending the show. By entering, you acknowledge you am voluntarily attending the show put on by NSDTRC-USA and acknowledge that you are increasing your risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19. You further acknowledge that the NSDTRC-USA cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others. I hereby release and agree to hold NSDTRC-USA, the owners and operators of the show grounds, and any businesses located on the show grounds or providing supplies and services to the show, harmless from, and absolutely waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with the test. I understand that this release discharges the NSDTRC-USA, the landowners and operators, and any businesses located on the test grounds or providing supplies and services to the test, from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against these entities with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, my participation of attendance at this event. Classes will not be divided by sex in this competition. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Ch. 3, Sec. 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows A Foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.• FSS Number of FSS Registered litter number will be required for Miscellaneous and FSS Breed Entries.• All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s protocol. • Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants or household members of a professional handler. A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend. Minors (under 18) with amateur status who reside with professional handlers and current assistants to professional handlers that are eligible to compete in Junior Showmanship (meet age and amateur status requirements) may personally exhibit dogs in the Four-to-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition No dog is to be judged if it is brought into the ring bandaged, taped, glued or stitched anywhere including ears or tail. These dogs must be excused from judging but, at the judge’s discretion, may return to be judged after the tape or bandage is removed Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Rules, Regulations, Policies and Guidelines are available on the American Kennel Club Web site, www.akc.org AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. INSTRUCTIONS 1 (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2 The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3 (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4 A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name.
