PRAYER POINTS 1 For Rev Chris Pierce’s visa to be granted. 2 For God to raise up a new assistant chaplain. 3 for Covid-19 restrictions on seafarers to be lifted or modified soon. 4 For opportunities to share the gospel and the Scriptures even in Covid-19. Dampier Day 9 Mission to Seafarers VACANT GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the opportunity to serve the seafarers via phone / web / facebook during COVID-19 restrictions. 2 the new house provided by the mining company to accommodate the Chaplain’s family. PRAYER POINTS 1 For God to raise up a new chaplain to serve in this important ministry. 2 For a new chaplain who loves to share the gospel with people. 3 For Dampier Seafarers Centre to continue providing much needed physical, spiritual and emotional care for seafarers.
Exmouth/ Day 10 Onslow Exmouth Community Church, 8 Pelias St Service: 9.00am The Revd Simon and Mrs Alison Roberts (Lauren & Rachel) GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the new women’s Bible study group that Alison has started. 2 the faithful service of the saints at Exmouth and Onslow. 3 the partnerships we have with churches in the Pilbara and across the diocese. PRAYER POINTS 1 That the Lord would bless ministry plans for 2021. 2 For strong Bible study groups that seek to understand and apply the word. 3 For opportunities to see Rachel and Lauren and our parents who are in NSW and safety in travel.
Day 11 North West Live Watch church livestream every Sunday Visit www.anglicandnwa.org/north-west-live The Revd Simon Roberts (Chair) GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the gospel message that unites us in Christ. 2 the churches that are able to live stream services. 3 the technology that enables fellowship in the gospel irrespective of distance. PRAYER POINTS 1 That the Lord would use North West Live to re-establish congregations in existing parishes. 2 To re-connect with remote region Christians. 3 To re-affirm links with supporters. 4 To reinforce pastoral care for people and congregations currently without a minister or locum.
Day 12 Newman St Stephens, Hilditch Ave Service: 9.00am The Revd Roger & Mrs Amanda Kyngdon (Ada, Eliza, Benjamin & Emily) GIVE THANKS FOR 1 a relaxing time away in January in preparation for the new year. 2 new people who joined church and want to be involved in the spreading good news of Jesus. 3 the blessing of Emily in our family and how easy she has fitted into our life. Day 13 Carnarvon St George’s, 10 Francis St Service: 9.00am Vacant GIVE THANKS FOR 1 God’s blessing in keeping the congregation worshipping together since the Fyffes retired. 2 the Locum Ministers and visiting clergy from Geraldton. 3 God’s safe-keeping our members and townspeople during the COVID-19 Pandemic. PRAYER POINTS 1 For congregation to remain faithful to the teaching of God’s word and be open to the Spirit’s leading in sharing it with others. 2 That God will supply our need for a resident Minister, and for Locum Ministers in the meantime.
Day 14 Shark Bay St Andrew-by-the-Sea, Hughes St Service: 9.00am Vacant GIVE THANKS FOR 1 new members who have recently joined. 2 the small group of committed believers meeting at Shark Bay who want to follow Jesus and study the Bible. PRAYER POINTS 1 For a ministry-minded couple willing to serve in an Honorary capacity in this World Heritage site. 2 For local Christians to keep reading the scriptures, praying and encouraging each other while without a minister.
Day 15 Kalbarri St Mark’s, 51 Porter Street Service: 9.00am; 5.00pm Church The Revd David & Mrs Jenny Day (Nathanael) GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the number of visitors to town bringing economic blessings to businesses. 2 our live-streaming services and other activities to a global audience. 3 teenagers who came to a recent Games Night and responded positively. 4 proclaiming the gospel during Christmas time. PRAYER POINTS 1 For our local school as it appoints a new principal and chaplain in 2021. 2 For Debbie being awarded her Preliminary Theological Certificate (PTC). 3 For the preparations for Easter service and events and the outreach to visitors. Day 16 Northampton Holy Trinity, 193 Hampton Rd (opp Caravan Park) Service: 8.30am Rural Chaplain VACANT GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the many answered prayers for the Royces over the last five and a half years at Northampton. 2 the current congregation, who hold the Body of Christ together in Him. 3 the better than expected season our farmers received last year. PRAYER POINTS 1 That the sown seeds of hope in Christ will bear fruit for the Kingdom in the future, through acceptance, faith, repentance and obedience. 2 For the Spirit of Christ to strengthen the present congregation to continued unity in Him and to shine as a light for Christ’s Gospel and Kingdom. PRAYER POINTS 1 For God to provide new leaders for youth and children’s ministry following the departure of many in 2020. 2 For the remaining youth to persevere in their faith and that they’ll be well loved and supported by the cathedral family and each other.

Day 24 Dongara Training for North West Ministry Program It’s difficult to find people willing and equipped to serve God in the North West amid extreme weather, isolation and transient populations. We’ve set up a new program to train young ministers for the specific challenges of frontline North West ministry. GIVE THANKS FOR 1 this precious opportunity to train and equip young men for long-term gospel ministry. 2 trainees Matt Morrison and Brendan Hurley serving God faithfully. 3 generous North West partners who pray and give to support the training program. PRAYER POINTS 1 For wisdom and energy for Bishop Gary as he disciples the Ministers. 2 For God to have mercy and use these men to bring the gospel to many people who don’t yet know Jesus in Dongara and Geraldton. 3 For God to raise up Assistant Ministers for Kununurra and South Hedland. Regional Hospital Day 25 Chaplaincy The Revd Jeremy & Mrs Virginia Rice GIVE THANKS FOR 1 full access to talk and pray with patients, their families and staff, following exclusion from Geraldton Hospital from April to September 2020 (COVID-19 precaution), . 2 continuing amazing prayer and financial support for hospital chaplaincy. 3 Virginia’s progress following neurosurgery. Greenough Regional Prison Chaplaincy The Revd David & Mrs Alison Hilton GIVE THANKS FOR 1 the commitment from the Department towards Prison Chaplaincy. 2 our partnership with the Bible Society putting new Bibles into Greenough. 3 being able to present Christ’s grace and love to those who are losing hope. 4 those who have come to faith or grown in their faith during their stay. Overseas Day 29 Link Diocese Karamoja - Uganda Bishop Joseph & Mama Margaret GIVE THANKS FOR 1 faithful leadership by Bishop Joseph in these difficult times. 2 committed ministers who serve in remote areas of the impoverished diocese to proclaim the good news of Jesus. PRAYER POINTS 1 That Bishop Gary’s postponed Mission to Karamoja will be able to go ahead in 2021, so the team can provide ministry discipleship, lay ministry training and support for children’s ministry. 2 For safety and health for churches during COVID-19.
