Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 06/16/2021 9 Mile Rd & Providence Dr. I - Information Only On 06/16/2021, Officers located an unoccupied 11:28am (Apartments) Manufacturer Stolen Blue Dodge Charger Scat Pack at DODGE Model Apartment Complex in the 9 Mile Rd. Providence CHARGER Color Dr. area. The vehicle had a broken rear passenger BLU - Blue Vehicle Year window and was at the N/W side of the complex. 2021 Body Style State The vehicle was reported stolen on 6/16/2021 by MI DPD. TCSU Officers conducted surveillance on the License Year Description vehicle. The vehicle never became occupied. GRY - Gray Vehicle Year Officers located the vehicle parked in the back lot 2020 Body Style State of the Apartment Complex. The vehicle is a 2020 MI Dodge Charger (gray), with two black stripes Description Gray 2020 Dodge Charger running the entirety of the vehicle down the W/ 2 Black Stripes middle. The vehicle was unoccupied. Westland PD was notified of recovery.

Stolen Property Count Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model MALIBU Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2009 Body Style State MI Description 2009 CHEVROLET MALIBU BLACK Recovered Date/Time 06/18/2021 9:43pm Location 19000 Block of Goldwin Status From: 06/17/2021 25000 W Twelve Mile Rd S - Stolen Victims wife states she parked the vehicle in the 5:30pm (Apartments) Manufacturer 25000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. at their JEEP To: 06/18/2021 Model apartment complex on 06/17/2021 at approx. GRAND CHEROKEE 3:00pm Vehicle Year Body Style 5:30pm. She returned to the parking lot on 4D - 4 Door Description 06/18/2021 at approx. 3:00pm and the vehicle 2021 Grey Jeep Grand was missing. No suspect information. Cherokee The vehicle was equipped with a tracking device and was pinging at an address in Detroit. The victim's vehicle was recovered by Detroit PD Auto Recovery on 06/19/2021 at 10:30am. No arrests were made.
Status 06/15/2021 23000 Providence Dr. I – Recovered Stolen Officers were dispatched to the 23000 Block of 1:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer Providence Dr. (Apartments) for a neighbor Dodge Model parking complaint. Charger Scat Pack Color Officer ran a LEIN check on an unrelated vehicle. PLE - Purple Vehicle Year The LEIN check on license plate attached to a 2020 Body Style State Purple Dodge Charger (Scat Pack), returned as a OH stolen plate out of Detroit. Description Purple Scat Pack Officers then ran a LEIN check on the VIN# Notes Recovered with a stolen attached to the Charger. The LEIN check returned license plate on the as a stolen vehicle out of Toledo, Ohio. vehicle out of Redford. Officers contacted the manager of the apartment complex who let Officers view the surveillance video of the underground. The video footage shows the stolen Charger pulling into the underground and parking on June 6th, 2021 at 8:16pm. The video showed that there were two persons in the vehicle. Officers were advised that the only way to enter the underground parking structure is with a key fob that only residents and staff have. Incident is under further investigation.
Status 06/20/2021 15000 Town Ctr. RS – Recovered Stolen Officer was on patrol in the 15000 Block of Town 4:45am (Hotel) Manufacturer Center. (Hotel) Officer observed a Black Dodge RAM Model Ram 1500 on the second floor of the hotel 1500 Color parking structure. Officer ran the plate via LEIN, BLK - Black Vehicle Year which returned as stolen out of another 2018 Body Style jurisdiction on 06/15/2021. 4D - 4 Door The vehicle was impounded and the other State MI jurisdiction was notified of the recovery. License Year 2021 It was later discovered that the owner of the Description 2021 Dodge Ram vehicle was involved in a divorce and he came into our department with proper paper work for the vehicle. The vehicle was released to him. Status From: 06/19/2021 19000 Hilton Dr. SR - Both Stolen and Victim advised that he parked his 2016 White 9:00pm Recovered Buick Regal, at his residence last night. Manufacturer To: 06/20/2021 BUICK The following morning, he observed that it was Model 9:40am REGAL stolen. Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 06/18/2021 28000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen R/P states a maintenance man for his apartment 5:26pm (Apartments) Description complex has been entering his room Black Badge Wallet containing: Sheriffs Retirement ID Card, unannounced, and would just look around. Retirement Badge, Driver’s On 06/17/2021 the man entered his apartment License & Social Security Card. again for an unknown reason. R/P was in the backroom watching TV. When the man left, R/P noticed his wallet was missing from the table where he always keeps it. The apartment was checked and the wallet wasn’t located. The wallet was a black badge holder wallet with a Retired Deputy Badge on the inside, along with R/P’s Retirement ID, Michigan Driver’s License, and his Social Security Card. Victim went to management to inquire about the employee but they wouldn’t give him any information? Suspect: The maintenance employee was described as a middle aged white male, about 6-0, medium build. Incident is under investigation.
Status From: 06/16/2021 29000 Southfield Rd. S - Stolen R/P (victim) was shopping in the 29000 Block of 8:00pm (Commercial- Clothing) Description Southfield Rd. (Clothing Store). She placed her Wallet containing: To: 06/16/2021 Several credit cards, driver's wallet in a cart. She then took a different cart 8:30pm license, medical cards, vaccination because the original wasn't moving. She later card, photographs, and ID. realized she no longer had her wallet. When she went back to the carts, it was gone. S- Stolen R/P states sometime between 06/16/2021 Description 11:00pm (Condo’s) Michigan License Plate, 11:00pm- 06/17/2021 12:00pm someone stole taken from 2005 Dodge Dakota To: 06/17/2021 the License Plate from her 2005 Dodge Dakota. 12:00pm Victim is not sure where the vehicle was when the plate was taken. No suspect information.
Status 06/15/2021 15000 W Lincoln Dr. S - Stolen R/P stated that on 06/15/2021 his son left his 12:00am (School) Description bicycle parked in the parking lot at his school in Black Giant 21 Gear Mountain Bike the 15000 Block of Lincoln Dr. When he returned at an unknown time the bicycle was missing. The school has a video recording of the bicycle being stolen; however, the video is not of good quality and they were only able to see that the suspect was a B/M. The suspect left a bicycle behind that was in very poor condition and the school has since thrown it away. Status 06/19/2021 16000 North Park Dr. S - Stolen Victim states she was at her friend’s apartment 12:18am (Apartments) Description hanging out with her boyfriend and his daughter. Pandora Bracelet Her friend’s ex-girlfriend came over to pick up her daughter. The two got into a physical confrontation. Victim attempted to break up the fight. When she did suspect punched and slapped her multiple times in the face and body. The suspect then "snatched" her Pandora Bracelet off her right wrist and fled from the apartment. The suspect has been identified and investigation is on-going.
Status From: 06/20/2021 27000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen R/P is an employee with Medical Staff at location. 8:30am (Apartments Description R/P is a part of the medication team. Oxycodone was taken. To: 06/20/2021 It is their protocol to count the medications at 11:54am the beginning of her shift. It was later brought to her attention that some of the medications were missing from the medication cart. R/P advises that there is only one other employee that has access to the medication cart. R/P believes the pills were taken between 8:30am – 9:00am by the other person who had access to the cart. She is a new employee. Note: Officer reviewed the hallway camera footage with Security and observed subject go into the office at 8:55am and leave at 9:03am. The same subject entered back into the office at 9:08am and exited at 9:09am. It’s unknown at the time of report if this person is the new employee. Investigation is on-going. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Special Attention: Arson/ Domestic OWI= Operate While Impaired Fleeing & Eluding OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics 06/14/2021 6:16am LFA= Larceny from Auto 20000 Block of Poinciana St. R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property DWLS= Driving with Suspended License Incident#1- R/P stated he heard his car alarm going A&B= Assault & Battery off and when he went outside he observed his CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct vehicle on fire. He attempted to put out the fire with CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon a neighbor's garden hose with no success. R/P’s NOLOP= No Operator License on Person female friend who is the owner of the house believes R/A= Robbery Armed it was her ex-boyfriend. They broke up back in RNA= Robbery Not Armed October 2020 and he hasn’t taken the brake up well. PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver He suffers from mental illness and drinks a lot. He PPO= Personal Protection Order has shown up unannounced several times recently. PBT= Preliminary Breath Test R/P states she has a PPO against him but he hasn’t R/P= Reporting Party been served yet. The Southfield Fire Dept. was on VCSA= Violation Controlled Substance Act scene investigating the cause of the fire. Suspect Vehicle Information: Status S – Suspect Vehicle Manufacturer TOYOTA Model RAV4 Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2020 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State CO License Year 2020 Description BLACK 2020 TOYOTA RAV4 (CO: 910DQR)
Incident#2 Officers responded to the same residence Possess Receive Stolen Vehicle/ Dangerous Drugs/ Resisting on 06/15/2021 at 1:14am for a reported vehicle on Officer/ Obstruct Criminal Investigation/ Fleeing & Eluding/ fire in the driveway again. Dispatch stated neighbors DWLS- 1- Arrest called in the vehicle fire and this was the same 06/18/2021 9:43pm residence where a vehicle was suspected to be set Red River Dr. & Goldwin St. on fire earlier in the day.
