Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information None Reported: Tips: ❖ Do not display valuable items in windows when closed for business ❖ Contact the Southfield Police Crime Prevention Bureau for a free security inspection (248) 796-5409 Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 07/31/2020 19000 Melrose Ave Attempt only on Victim advised that she left home at around 11:00pm 11:00pm north side kitchen and returned home at 3:00am. Later that morning To: 08/01/2020 window. victim discovered attempt Home Invasion. She doesn’t 3:00am know if the incident took place before or after she returned home, or when she was asleep. Officer observed the frame bent and the exterior pane glass broken on the kitchen window. The screen had also been removed from the window. The screen on the dining room window had also been removed. Doesn’t appear that entry was made. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene. SIL - Silver or Aluminum R/P states one of the set of keys for the vehicle Vehicle Year are missing and some of their employees had to 2014 Body Style State be let go due to the COVID Virus. MI Status From: 07/28/2020 20000 Wildhern St. S - Stolen Victim states sometime between 07/28/2020 8:00pm Manufacturer CHEVROLET 8:00pm and the following morning on To: 07/29/2020 Model 07/29/2020 3:30am someone stole his 2006 TAHOE 3:30am Color Black Chevy Tahoe. S - Stolen R/P advises the work vehicle for Apartment 10:30am (Apartments) Manufacturer Complex was stolen sometime between the CHEVROLET Model afternoon on 07/25/2020 and the following early SILVERADO License No. Color morning hours of 07/26/2020. BLU - Blue Vehicle Year No suspect information. 2003 Description BLUE 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO
Status 07/28/2020 17000 Northland Park Ct. RS – Recovered Stolen Officers were dispatched for a stolen vehicle 2:24am (Apartments) Manufacturer recovery report. The vehicle was stolen out of LINCOLN Model another jurisdiction on 7/23/2020. MKS Color Officers spoke to R/P and a witness on scene. BLK - Black Vehicle Year R/P stated he came to check on his business and 2010 Body Style State discovered the 2010 Lincoln MKS (stolen vehicle) MI parked up against his company vehicle with a flat Description Lincoln MKS tire. A work associate of R/P’s stated at approx. 9:00pm on 7/27/2020 he observed a Gray Pontiac Grand Am picked up 4- B/M occupants that had ditched the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered. Upon an inventory search of the vehicle, Officers found several spent shell casings in the back seat of the vehicle. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician recovered the spent shell casings.
Status 07/29/2020 25000 Shiawassee Rd. SR - Both Stolen and Victim states the vehicle was parked on the north 10:20am (Apartments) Recovered side of Apartment Building in the 25000 Block of Manufacturer CHRYSLER Shiawassee. Model 300 Sometime between 8:00pm and the following Color WHI - White morning at 10:00am someone stole the 2017 Vehicle Year White Chrysler 300. 2017 Body Style The vehicle was recovered on 08/10/2020 at 4D - 4 Door State 8:30am in the City of Detroit. MI There were no arrests made, no apparent License Year 2020 damage to the vehicle and nothing missing from Description WHITE 2017 CHRYSLER inside the vehicle. 300 Recovered Date/Time 08/10/2020 8:30am Status 07/28/2020 25000 W Twelve Mile Rd. Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 08/02/2020 24000 W Twelve Mile S - Stolen Investigation revealed that R/P and her family 10:27pm (Commercial Bar) Description were asked to leave the bar because they were Black/Silver Purse, 2 Debit Cards, Undisclosed Currency, Car creating a disruption inside the bar. Keys/House Keys, While victim was in the parking lot, her purse Michigan Driver’s License, Apple I-Phone was set on top of a vehicle. The vehicle was a White Jeep Grand Cherokee and was parked in front of the Bar. An unknown person took her purse. No suspect information. Status 07/28/2020 27000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen R/P advises approx. 2 months ago, members of 3:46pm (Church) Description the church started to ask about offering checks 12 separate checks were possibly stolen from the mailbox. that were mailed to the church. The members were told the checks were never received. 08/01/2020 23000 Block of Misc. Items were taken Several Southfield Officers were dispatched to 3:30am Brandywynne from different vehicles. the 23000 Block of Brandywynne at approx. Both subjects gave permission to search their backpacks and inside of each backpack was a BB gun. There were multiple phone chargers, phone charging pads and white boxes containing off brand ear pods. None of the contents in the backpacks matched the items that were missing from victim’s vehicles. Both suspects stated that they had just came
from the area of Beech Rd. and 9 Mile Rd., where they purchased some marijuana. The subjects were identified and released. Status 08/02/2020 15000 Town Ctr. S - Stolen Two female victims were staying at Hotel in the 12:53pm (Hotel) Description 15000 Block of Town Ctr. One of the female’s ex- Car Keys To 2019 Dodge Durango boyfriend called her and threatened to come to the hotel and assault them and kill them. The two females advised the front desk and security of the situation. When they were attempting to leave the Hotel from the main lobby the suspect entered the main lobby and assaulted his ex-girlfriend. When her friend intervened, he assaulted her as well. The suspect then fled the hotel. It was later discovered that the suspect stole his ex-girlfriend’s keys to her 2019 Dodge Durango and busted out the rear window of the other females 2018 Chevy Malibu that was parked in the parking lot. The suspect has been identified and incident is under further investigation.
Status 08/02/2020 30000 Southfield Rd. S - Stolen Victim states an undisclosed amount of cash was 3:00pm (Commercial Pizza) Description taken from his vehicle (Dodge Ram) sometime Undisclosed Cash Wrapped in a Rubber Band. between 08/01/2020 and 08/03/2020 at around 3:30pm. Victim suspects two co-workers may be behind the theft. Surveillance Video from business supports victims suspicion. The two suspects have been identified and incident is under investigation. Status From: 08/01/2020 29000 Wellington Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he had a female friend come over 9:46am (Apartments) Description and things weren’t going well so he summoned Air Jordan Shoes, Michigan To: 08/01/2020 Driver License, Passport, the police to stand by while the female friend 10:30am 2 iPhone Chargers. gathered her things and left. Later after the female and Officers left R/P discovered that several items were missing from his residence. The victim is not sure when the items were taken and he’s not sure if the name he has for the female is her real name? A possible suspect has been identified.
Status From: 07/29/2020 15000 Town Center S - Stolen R/P checked into Hotel in the 15000 Block of 12:30am (Hotel) Description Town Center on 07/29/2020 at approx. 1230am. 20 Inch Chainsaw was taken from To: 07/29/2020 back of Pick Up. When he parked his truck, he had all the doors 12:00pm locked, but his tools were unsecured in the bed of the truck with no covering. R/P checked out of the hotel on 07/29/2020 around 12:00pm and noticed his 20” Chainsaw was missing from the bed of his truck. Status 07/29/2020 20000 Greenfield Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he was in his office behind the front 12:29pm (Medical Building) Description desk and left to use the bathroom and check on a Apple MacBook Pro, Misc. Credit Cards, Laptop Case. patient. When he returned he noticed that someone had taken his laptop case with his laptop and credit cards. Victim reviewed surveillance video and observed a B/M walk into the business and walk back toward his office. The individual walked into the room and walked out, then walked back in. The subject walked back out with what appears to be a black brief case. Victims laptop case was black. No further description. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
