The residence was R/P (victim’s son) stated that sometime during the 11:00pm (Residence) unlocked and night time hours unknown suspect(s) entered the To: 08/19/2020 windows were single- family residence and stole an undisclosed 9:00am open. amount of cash that was in his mother’s purse located next to her bed. The suspects also stole several prescription medications. R/P and his mother were both sleeping when the incident occurred. No suspect information.
From: 08/23/2020 23000 Riverside Dr. No forced entry. R/P states he left the residence at approx. 8:30am and 8:30am (Apartments) the home was secure. Upon return at 11:16am he To: 08/23/2020 found the main overhead garage door open. He leaves 11:16am the interior door leading to the attached residence unlocked. R/P entered the home and immediately discovered his new couch damaged with single slash/ cuts in each of the three seat cushions. There is a canvas painting hanging on the wall above the couch that was also damaged. Victim states he is in the process of a divorce and he suspects his wife is responsible. Incident is under investigation. S - Stolen Victim states he parked his 2016 Black Dodge 5:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer Durango at his apartment complex in the 20000 DODGE To: 08/18/2020 Model Block of Lahser Rd. at 5:00pm. When he returned DURANGO 7:45pm Color to his vehicle at 7:45pm it was gone. BLK - Black Vehicle Year No suspect information. 2016 Body Style SW - Station Wagon State MI License Year 2021 Notes Has damage to the passenger side bumper.
Status 08/20/2020 22000 Telegraph Rd. RS – Recovered Stole Officers were dispatched to the 22000 Block of 6:20pm (Motel) HYUNDAI Telegraph Rd (Motel) for a welfare check of Model ELANTRA female. R/P (victim) stated that she was leaving Color (Domestic Assault GRY - Gray an abusive relationship and needed to be Arrest Also) Vehicle Year 2020 checked out & needs her medication. Body Style Officers located the victim. Victim had obvious 4D - 4 Door State injuries from being assaulted. ILLINOIS License Year Victim stated her boyfriend assaulted her. She 2020 was scared to tell Officers his name for fear of Description GRAY HYUNDAI SEDAN retaliation. A Southfield Police Evidence IL PLATE Technician took photos of victim’s injuries. The suspect was located and interviewed. He told Officers that he employed the victim but wouldn’t elaborate. (Possible Human Trafficking) Officers located a vehicle in the parking lot that victim stated was her boyfriends. It came back stolen (Fail to Return) out of Dearborn, Michigan. The male suspect was taken into custody for Domestic Assault. The vehicle was recovered and Dearborn PD was notified of the recovery.
Status From: 08/20/2020 23000 Providence Dr. S - Stolen R/P’s daughter parked the vehicle at her friend's 3:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer apartment (23000 Block of Providence Dr.) at DODGE To: 08/21/2020 Model approx. 3:00pm on 08/20/2020. The daughter DURANGO 2:00pm Color discovered the vehicle missing the next day, WHI - White Vehicle Year 08/21/2020 at 2:00pm. No suspect information. 2018 Body Style State MI Status From: 08/21/2020 20000 Lahser Rd. S - Stolen Victim states that his 2016 White Chrysler 300 8:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer Sport was stolen sometime over the night CHRYSLER To: 08/22/2020 Model between 8:00pm- 7:48am. 300 7:48am Color The vehicle was parked in the parking lot at WHI - White Vehicle Year Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Lahser 2016 Body Style Rd. No suspect information. 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2020 Description 2016 WHITE CHRYSLER 300 SPORT
Status From: 08/22/2020 23000 Telegraph Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he had met a male subject on the 5:00am (Hotel) Manufacturer online dating app Grindr. Victim met up with TOYOTA To: 08/22/2020 Model male subject at a residence in Detroit on CAMRY 11:30am Color 08/21/2020 and hung out before deciding to get WHI - White Vehicle Year a hotel room at Hotel in the 23000 Block of 2013 Body Style Telegraph Rd. in Southfield. The two arrived at 4D - 4 Door the hotel at approx. 10:00pm and checked into a State SC room. At some point victim fell asleep and woke License Year 2019 up the following morning at 11:30am. Notes Rear Drivers Side Tail The male friend was gone along with victims Light Has Clear Tape cell phone, iPad, Laptop, misc. clothing, luggage, Over the Lights wallet and victims 2013 Toyota Camry. Victim described subject as a dark skinned black male, approx. 5'9 with shoulder length dread locks, medium build with an acne scar under his right eye. Officers investigating, developed a possible suspect and included it within their report. Incident is under investigation.
Status 08/22/2020 27000 Northwestern Hwy. I – Recovered Stolen Officers were dispatched to Hotel in the 27000 7:54pm (Hotel) Manufacturer Block of Northwestern reference a stolen vehicle. JEEP Model The victim called our department and provided CHEROKEE Color information regarding the possible location of SIL - Silver or Aluminum the stolen vehicle. Vehicle Year The vehicle was located at the hotel unoccupied. 2017 Body Style Officers developed possible suspect information SW - Station Wagon State but were unable to locate the person(s) OH associated with the stolen vehicle. License Year 2020 The vehicle was recovered and the reporting Description 2017 JEEP GRAND jurisdiction was advised on recovery. CHEROKEE Status From: 08/21/2020 22000 Le Rhone St. S - Stolen R/P states sometime between 9:00pm and the 9:00pm (Apartments) Manufacturer following morning at 9:15am someone stole his DODGE To: 08/22/2020 Model mother’s 2018 Black Dodge Charger. CHARGER 9:15am Color The vehicle was parked at Apartment Complex in BLK - Black Vehicle Year the 22000 Block of Le Rhone St. 2018 Body Style State On 08/22/2020 at approx.12:01am, R/P observed MI an unknown B/M approx. 50 years old walking License Year 2020 around in the parking lot. The subject walked around the parking lot three to four times. Unknown if it was related to the vehicle being stolen. No further suspect information.

SR - Both Stolen and Victim states he parked his 2018 White Dodge 9:58am (Apartments) Recovered Charger Scat Pack on 08/19/2020 @ 3:00am in Manufacturer DODGE the parking lot at Apartment Complex in the Model CHARGER 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. When he woke up at Color Vehicle Year 9:00am he looked outside and noticed his vehicle 2018 Body Style State had been stolen. MI On 08/23/2020 Officers were dispatched to 9 Description White Scat Pack Mile and Providence Dr. for an injury accident. Recovered Date/Time 08/23/2020 4:00pm Dispatch advised a White Charger (Later found to be stolen vehicle) struck a tree and there may be possible injuries. Dispatch also advised two occupants fled from the Charger and jumped into a Silver Sedan with a black bumper going S/B on Providence Dr. Upon arrival Officers observed two light poles down on the west side of Providence Dr. They also observed a tree that had fresh damage and the White Charger that was crashed into a fence. The Charger had heavy damage all over the vehicle & the vehicle plate was missing. Video surveillance from a nearby business confirmed two suspects fled from the vehicle. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices

S - Stolen Victim alleges she was assaulted by her boyfriend 11:54pm (Apartments) Description and he took her keys to her apartment and an Undisclosed amount of currency. undisclosed amount of cash. (A&B Also) Officers located the suspect and he returned victims apartment keys. Officers released the suspect after hearing gunshots from an adjacent apartment complex and had to leave. The larceny of cash is alledged but victim wished to follow through with the A&B charges. The case was submitted to the City Attorney for review. Status 08/19/2020 25000 Southfield Rd. S - Stolen Victim is the owner of business in the 25000 12:00am (Commercial Business) Description Block of Southfield Rd. Eye lash supplies, nail equipment, and furniture On 08/19/2020, the building owner left a note on Refrigerator, toaster oven, hair, her door stating he took her business belongings. 2- bikes, massage bed, hair products, make up products, bare Victim has not been evicted and has not been minerals make up products and served any eviction notice. The building owner case, pedicure products and equipment, toiletries, food, water admitted to taking the items. machine, vacuum, tools. This incident appears to be a civil matter.
Status 08/21/2020 19000 Greenwald Dr. S - Stolen On 08-10-2020, victim ordered a pair of 11:58am Description Designer Optics Design sunglasses from company which were to be Sunglasses delivered on 08-14-2020. On the expected date of delivery, victim received an email that they had been delivered successfully. She returned home and noticed the package was not there. No suspect information. Status 08/22/2020 20000 Lahser Rd. S – Stolen R/P states his brothers Blue 2015 Dodge Charger 10:21am (Apartments) Description Black Backpack with misc. work which he drives, was parked in the parking lot at items. Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. Sometime between 1:00am – 9:00am on 08/22/2020 after walking out to the vehicle R/P noticed that the rear passenger side window had >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> been removed in one piece and was lying on the Citizens should never leave ground near the vehicle. Status From: 08/22/2020 20000 Lahser Rd. S - Stolen Victim states her vehicle was parked at 12:00am (Apartments) Description Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Lahser Undisclosed amount of Cash. To: 08/22/2020 Rd. Sometime on 08/22/2020 between 12:00am 4:45am and the following morning at 12:00pm someone removed the driver side rear passenger window from her vehicle. The glove compartment was open and her personal items were scattered around the vehicle. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the vehicle. No suspect information. Status From: 08/21/2020 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen Victim parked her 2016 Ford Fusion at Apartment 11:08pm (Apartments) Description Complex in the 16000 Block of 9 Mile Rd. at Misc. Clothing Items contained in To: 08/21/2020 2 bags taken from 2016 Ford 11:08pm. At approx. 11:20pm victim was notified 11:20pm Fusion. that her vehicle was attacked and the rear passenger window was broken out. Victim returned to her vehicle and discovered that a pair of shoes and two bags of misc. items were missing from the vehicle. Suspect Information: R/P advises when she and her friends pulled into the parking lot, they fumbled through the trunk to retrieve some property from the vehicle. At that point, they all noticed an unknown black male, wearing a white tee shirt, standing along Nine Mile Rd. on the outside of the fence line for Apartment Complex. They didn't think anything of it at the time, but they believe this individual observed the items that were in the vehicle and he may be responsible for the theft.
Status From: 08/21/2020 30000 Southfield Rd. S - Stolen/ Victim states sometime between 08/21/2020 10:00am (Apartments) Description 10:00am- 08/22/2020 1:00pm someone entered Misc. paperwork, Shoe box with To: 08/22/2020 misc. coin change. her apartment by unknown means and took a 1:00pm shoebox with an undisclosed amount of cash and misc. paperwork including victim’s social security card. No signs of forced entry. No suspect information. Status 08/22/2020 24000 Tamarack Cir. S - Stolen R/P states he kept his Handgun in a safe inside 2:00pm Description Handgun his garage. On 08/22/2020 R/P went to the garage and looked inside the safe to find the gun was not there. The safe wasn’t locked and victim hasn’t seen the gun since January of 2020. No forced entry into the garage. No suspect information. Status From: 08/17/2020 25000 Shiawassee Rd. SR - Both Stolen and Recovered R/P states he last saw the license plate on his 4:00pm (Apartments) Description vehicle on 08/17/2020 at approx. 4:00pm outside Michigan License Plate To: 08/20/2020 Recovered Date/Time of his apartment building. R/P arrived at work on 08/23/2020 7:30am 7:00am 08/20/2020 at approx. 7:00am and was notified by a coworker that he didn't have a license plate on his car. R/P is unsure exactly where the plate was stolen. Recovery: Clinton Twp. Police recovered a stolen vehicle that had victims stolen license plate attached to it. The stolen license plate was recovered on 08/23/2020 around 7:30am. There is no suspect information.
Status 08/22/2020 15000 Goldwin Pl. S - Stolen Victim states she had two friends over last night, 12:00pm Description Undisclosed amount of Cash. one being the suspect. Victim states she had an undisclosed amount of cash under her purse that was in the garage. Her one friend caught the other friend (suspect) with victim’s wallet and told her to put it back. The suspect stated it was an accident and thought it was hers. The suspect continued to act strange, running in and out of the house saying she had to go to the bathroom. Victim realized the cash was missing and asked where it went? The suspect denied taking it but made several statements indicative that she may be involved. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details None Reported: Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. ❖ If something doesn’t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately ❖ Trust your intuition Unarmed Robbery: Status 08/23/2020 26000 Evergreen Rd. S - Stolen Victim states he arrived at the tennis courts at 8:00pm (Near the Tennis Courts) Manufacturer 26000 Evergreen (City Hall) to sell a pair of Yeezy Adidas Shoes Model shoes. Victim states he was using the Letgo App. Yeezy 700 V1 Color to sell his shoes. Victim and suspect agreed to GRY - Gray Description meet at this location and the suspect arrived with Adidas Yeezy "inertia" color two other unknown B/M’s in a Black Chrysler 300. Victim gave suspect the shoes and the suspect gave victim an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim looked at the bills and immediately recognized them as counterfeit. The suspect threw the shoes in the suspect vehicle and attempted to get into the vehicle. Victim tried to stop the suspect but he punched victim in the face and fled the scene. All three suspects were B/M’s approx. 18 years old. The suspects were not located. Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police
Be on the Look Out Highlights: Arrests by SPD Officers: Special Attention: DWLS/ Possession of Ecstasy- 1- Arrest Felonious Assault w/ Handgun 08/20/2020 1:22am 08/22/2020 3:34pm Telegraph Rd. & Northwestern Hwy 18000 Block of South Dr. Officer stopped the suspect vehicle for a traffic violation. Upon (Apartments) speaking with the driver, he admitted that he had marijuana in the R/P advises someone knocked on his door and told him interior of the vehicle. Fearing that the subject was going to harm him he grabbed his handgun. The R/P then punched him several times and took his handgun from him. After interviewing subjects and witnesses both subjects were identified and RPI’d and the handgun was confiscated. Incident is under further investigation.

At one point during the confrontation R/P was directed by suspects to be taken to his house!!! R/P refused and attempted to reason with suspects, at
which time one of the suspects said just let him go. R/P advised all 3 suspects then got back into their vehicle and fled the scene. Officers spoke with the two B/F’s that were possibly associated with the suspects. They were uncooperative with Officers. The three male suspects were not located.
Special Attention: Criminal Activity Recently: Location: Apartment Complex in the 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 1)LFA 08/08/2020 Between 1:00am- 9:00am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 2015 Dodge Charger was attacked. Window was completely removed and a Black Backpack was taken. 2) Vehicle Theft 08/18/2020 Between 5:00pm- 7:45pm 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 2016 Black Dodge Durango was taken. 3) Vehicle Theft 08/22/2020 Between 8:00pm- 7:45am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 2016 White Chrysler 300 was taken.
4) Vehicle Theft 08/19/2020 Between 3:00am- 9:00am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 2018 White Dodge Charger Scat Pack was taken. Suspect & Suspect Vehicle Information: On 08/23/2020 Officers were dispatched to 9 Mile and Providence Dr. for an injury accident. Dispatch advised a White Charger struck a tree and there may be possible injuries. Dispatch also advised two occupants fled from the Charger and jumped into a Silver Sedan with a black bumper going S/B on Providence Dr. Video surveillance from nearby business confirmed two suspects fled from the vehicle. 5) Vehicle Theft 08/24/2020 Between 11:30pm- 5:30am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. 2012 Gray Dodge Charger was taken. 6) LFA Inc.# 20/27854 From: 08/22/2020 12:00am To: 08/22/2020 4:45am 20000 Block of Lahser Rd. Window was completely removed from victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was ransacked and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Special Attention: Shots Fired into a Residence. 08/18/2020 12:30pm 16000 Block of Oxley Rd. (Apartment Complex) Officers were on routine patrol at Nine Mile and Providence Dr. when they heard multiple gunshots. Officers responded to the area. A resident in the 16000 Block of Oxley advised that several rounds had entered her apartment. A physical check of each apartment did not find anyone injured in this incident. The intended target or motivation for the shooting is unknown. No suspects were located. Note: Victim was mostly uncooperative and there was evidence to suggest that the victim was possibly involved in some type of gang or group affiliation where feuding and retaliation are common place. Southfield Police Evidence Technicians arrived on scene for processing. No suspect information.
Special Attention: Shots Fired 08/23/2020 9:16pm 16000 North Park Dr. (Apartments) Officers were dispatched to Apartment Complex in the 16000 Block of North Park Drive regarding "gun shots heard". One of the two callers stated a red vehicle with tinted windows had left the scene following the shots being heard. The second caller stated several shots were heard from the rear parking lot. Upon arrival, Officers conducted an area search of the rear parking lot where the shots were heard. Officers located several spent shell casings and several live rounds in the parking lot. Officers spoke with Security who stated they observed several vehicles driving around while the shots were being fired. They did not know if they were shooting at each other or fleeing the area. No suspects or victims were located. The spent shell casings and live rounds were collected as evidence by SPD Evidence Technicians.
