Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 10/25/2021 24000 Northwestern Entered through Officers were dispatched to the 24000 Block of 6:30am (Hotel) unlocked door. Northwestern (Hotel) for a larceny report. To: 10/25/2021 Officers contacted the victim who was waiting in 7:33am the main lobby. Victim stated she left her room at >>>>>>>>>>>>>> approx. 6:30am this morning to go eat breakfast. Officers reviewed surveillance video showing suspect pulling on several doors on the second floor and then entering victim’s hotel room. The suspect is seen leaving victim’s room at 7:15am. Further review of surveillance video shows the suspect leaving what is believed to be a room that he was staying in. Officers attempted contact at this room. There was no response at the door. A search warrant for the room was obtained. Before Officers entered the room, they announced their presence and advised they had a search warrant. There was still no response at the door. The manager attempted to unlock the door but
the door had been disabled somehow and couldn’t be entered. Officers forced entry into the room. Officers contacted subject who was in a bed. He matched the description of the suspect seen on the surveillance video entering victims room. Officers ordered suspect out of the bed. The subject cooperated and stood up for Officers. He was taken into custody and searched. While searching subject Officers located some narcotics paraphernalia and some suspected narcotics. While interacting with subject, he appeared to be under the influence of something. Suspect made admissions to using Heroin and Xanax last night and again this morning. He was taken into custody for B&E Hotel Room/ Fraudulent use of Credit Card/ Possession of Dangerous Drugs. 10/29/2021 24000 Telegraph Rd. Lock was cut off. Victim advises her storage unit had been broken into. 12:35pm (Commercial- Storage) Victim discovered it on 10/29/2021. The lock securing the unit was missing and it appeared that the lock was cut off. Several items are missing from the unit. Victim believes that her ex-girlfriend is responsible for the break in. Investigation is on-going.
From: 10/31/2021 19000 W Nine Mile Rd. North Door, R/P advises on 10/31/2021 at around 1:30am they 1:00am (Office Building) Padlock & Chain received a server alarm in the server room. The server To: 10/31/2021 were cut with bolt room is the only room in the entire building that is 2:00am cutters. occupied, the rest of the building is vacant. R/P came out and checked the property after he was advised by a technician the alarm went off and a lock was cut off the north door of the building. R/P put a new chain and padlock on the door and left the property. He came back later to check the property and noticed the old padlock and chain on the ground near the door. R/P also noticed a first- floor window that was broken with a pry bar lying near it and the transformer box in the parking lot was open with large copper wires cut away. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene & collected evidence. No suspect information. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 10/27/2021 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen Officer was on routine patrol when he observed a 3:26pm (Multi Business Unit) Manufacturer Black Dodge Durango backed into a parking DODGE Model space on the South side of 16000 Block of 9 Mile DURANGO Color Rd. in a multi- purpose office/ restaurant/retail BLK - Black Vehicle Year style complex. 2019 Body Style State A LEIN check of the plate showed that it returned MI improper to a 1999 Ford. Officer continued his Description 2019 Dodge Durango investigation and conducted a LEIN check on the VIN of the Dodge Durango. The VIN on the vehicle returned as a stolen vehicle out of Detroit PD. Southfield Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was stolen with DPD. During the inventory search of the vehicle, Officer noted the GPS tracking device wires were removed from the vehicle. The VIN and ignition were intact and all major mechanical components were present on the vehicle. Original plate that was supposed to be on the vehicle was not recovered. No suspect information.

S - Stolen R/P, (employee) advised the vehicle was rented 12:23pm (Commercial- Leasing) Manufacturer to suspect from the Southfield location on Dodge Model 10/01/2021. The vehicle was due back to Ram 1500 Color business on 10/09/2021. The vehicle has not BLU - Blue Vehicle Year been returned. The suspect that rented the 2020 Body Style vehicle has been identified and investigation is 4D - 4 Door on-going. State AL Description 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Llt4 V8 Blue Status From: 10/26/2021 29000 Northwestern S - Stolen On 10/26/2021 at approx. 5:22pm, Officer was 8:00am (Barber Shop) Manufacturer dispatched to business located in the 29000 GMC To: 10/26/2021 Model Block of Northwestern Hwy for a UDAA report. ENVOY DENALI 4:15pm Color Victim reports he arrived at his work place at BLK - Black Vehicle Year 8:00am. Sometime between 8:00am- 4:15pm 2007 Body Style State someone stole his Black 2007 GMC Envoy. There MI is no suspect information. License Year 2022 Description Stolen Black 2007 GMC Envoy

Nine Mile Rd. GRAND CHEROK 3:00pm Color Sometime between 11:00am- 3:00pm someone BLK - Black Vehicle Year stole the vehicle. There was broken glass where 2019 Body Style her vehicle was parked. S - Stolen R/P advises she parked her vehicle in front of her 9:25am (Apartments) Manufacturer apartment and last saw it around 12:00am on CHRYSLER Model 10/28/2021. Status From: 10/29/2021 28000 Franklin Rd. S - Stolen On 10/29/2021, at approx. 4:51am, R/P parked 4:51am (Apartments) Manufacturer her 2021 Black Lincoln Aviator on the East side of LINCOLN To: 10/29/2021 Model the building at her Apartment Complex in the AVIATOR 4:56am Color 28000 Block of Franklin Rd. R/P exited the BLK - Black Vehicle Year vehicle, leaving the vehicle running and the keys 2021 Body Style State inside the ignition. She entered the residence for MI approx. five minutes. At 4:56am, R/P exited the License Year 2022 residence and observed her vehicle missing. Description Black 2021 Lincoln Aviator A Southfield Detective contacted the property with Black Rims. manager at Apartments. She advised surveillance footage shows the vehicle exiting after it was stolen but it does not show who was driving. About two minutes later, a Ford Edge with a Michigan license plate exits the complex. The vehicle is older and one of the doors doesn’t lock. No suspect information. Status 10/28/2021 29000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states he met with subject from Facebook 8:33am (Gas Station) Description Marketplace to sell 2- Xbox Series S's. He met the 2- White Xbox Series S subject at gas station in the 29000 Block of Northwestern. As the two were talking at the gas pump, the gas station attendant told them to move to the back and stop blocking the pump. Victim started to go towards his car, and the suspect quickly took off with the merchandise N/B on Northwestern. The suspect was a B/M, over 6 feet, had a limp/injury on left leg. Driving Ford 500 with Grey and Red panels." The clerk at the gas station stated he observed the transaction occurring in the parking lot. The suspect, an unknown B/M, grabbed two XBOX's from the victim, ran to his vehicle and left N/B Northwestern Hwy. to S/B Northwestern Hwy. Witness described the vehicle as a silver and red vehicle. He wrote down the license plate and provided it to the victim. Officers ran the license plate# and have the owner information for the suspect vehicle. Investigation is on-going.
Status From: 10/25/2021 16000 North Park Dr. S - Stolen On 10/26/2021 around 6:30pm victim discovered 5:00pm (Mail Box) Description her mail box had been broken into. Unknown items of mail To: 10/26/2021 No suspect information and no security cameras. 6:30pm Victim notified the leasing office and they advised her that the theft occurred between 2:00am- 6:00am on 10/26/2021. Status From: 10/29/2021 26000 Berg Rd. S - Stolen Victim states vehicle, 2016 Chevy Malibu was 10:30pm (Apartments) Manufacturer parked at his apartment complex in the 26000 2016 Chevy Malibu To: 10/30/2021 Description Block of Berg Rd. Sometime between 10/29/2021 Steering Wheel was Stolen. 11:00am 10:30pm and the following morning at 11:00am someone stole the steering wheel from the vehicle. No suspect information. Status 10/30/2021 16000 N Park Dr. S - Stolen Victim states he stopped by Apartment Complex 6:11pm (Apartments) Description in the 16000 Block of North Park Dr. at 3:00pm Handgun was taken. on 10/30/2021 to visit some friends. The male's phone kept ringing, and someone told him to hurry up. The male took a picture of victim’s ID, and told her not to call the police. He told her to go into the bathroom, so she did and the male left. Victim immediately ran to the window and saw a Newer Model Black Jeep Grand Cherokee driving quickly out of the parking lot. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician was
summoned to the hotel room. He processed the scene and collected evidence. Southfield Detectives also made the scene and conducted follow up investigation. Suspect Information: Unknown black male, medium complexion, 35-40 years of age, 5'4"-5'6" tall, 230- 250lbs, large stomach, wearing a gray Nike jumpsuit, black Gucci slides (looked like Crocs, but were Gucci brand) and blue Corona face mask. The suspect's hood was on, so victim was unable to see his hair. The suspect possibly left in a newer model Black Jeep Grand Cherokee (unknown plate). Investigation is on-going. Special Attention: CCW Investigation OWI= Operate While Impaired 10/31/2021 1:30am OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics Greenfield Rd. & J L Hudson Dr. LFA= Larceny from Auto Officers responded to Greenfield Rd. and J L Hudson R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property Dr. for a reported injury accident. While in route to the DWLS= Driving with Suspended License accident Officer on scene advised the vehicle was A&B= Assault & Battery unoccupied and another vehicle took the occupants to CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct the Hospital. CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon Officer went to the hospital and spoke to the three NOLOP= No Operator License on Person occupants. They all were being treated for minor R/A= Robbery Armed injuries, non-life threatening. RNA= Robbery Not Armed The driver was 19 years old, the front right passenger PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver was 16 years old and there was a 10- month old in car PPO= Personal Protection Order seat in the back seat. PBT= Preliminary Breath Test Officer at the accident scene advised over the radio R/P= Reporting Party that a gun was located on the front dashboard in the VCSA= Violation Controlled Substance Act vehicle. Officer ran the gun and dispatch advised the gun was stolen out of Detroit. Officer questioned the two older occupants that were in the vehicle and asked who the gun belonged to. The 16- year old front passenger stated the gun belonged to him. He stated that he found the gun in a field in Dearborn. He stated he did not know the gun was stolen. The 16- year old was RPI’d and contact was made with his Grandmother who he lives with. The Grandmother advised she would notify the juveniles mother.
Special Attention: Shots Fired Investigation OWI/ Disorderly Conduct 10/28/2021 12:07pm 10/27/2021 10:34pm 27000 Block of Greenfield Rd. W Nine Mile Rd. & Northwestern Hwy. (Apartment Complex) On 10/27/2021 Officer was dispatched to the area of W Nine Mile Rd On 10/28/2021, Officer along with other Southfield and Northwestern Hwy on a report of a two- car crash with an units, was dispatched to the 27000 Block of Greenfield unresponsive passenger. Rd. (Apartment Complex), with two reports of shots Officer arrived on scene and observed vehicle with heavy front end heard. Both callers heard approx. 9 gunshots, believed damage in the left eastbound lane of W Nine Mile Rd. Southfield to be coming from Apartment Complex. Paramedics were on scene and had both occupants of the vehicle on Officer spoke to a citizen that advised he observed a the sidewalk south of the accident. The subject became disorderly at the hospital and had to be restrained to complete the blood draw. The subject was then transported to the Southfield Jail where he was processed and lodged.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles for transport. The female was transported to Hospital for a detox and How to prevent this from happening to you! was released pending investigation. She was issued Ord. Violation for Disorderly Conduct. -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don’t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. -If you don’t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with
Dispatchers until the Police arrive. -Lots of lighting around the area(s) that you park your vehicles is also very beneficial. Criminals don’t like to work in well lighted areas. They prefer to work in darkness because it’s difficult to see them. -Citizens should always be mindful not to leave anything of value in their vehicles. Especially wallets, purses, cash, handguns, cell phones, laptops, jewelry, or anything else of value. If you must leave your handgun in your vehicle it should be kept in a gun lock box that is bolted down in the trunk of the vehicle. At the very least you should try to hide the handgun somewhere that it would be difficult to find. The first place that criminals will look is under the front seat, in the center console or in the glove box.
Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility.
