Content/01 Poststrasse Active city development through private initiative ISG: A syndicate and its project Established on the 10th of July 2017 by the Street’s Property Owners, the ISG (Real Estate Location Syndicate Poststrasse/Alte Freiheit) set the goal of upgrading the street Alter Freiheit/Poststrasse/Kerstenplatz and to develop an attractive innercity zone. Location marketing, planning and realization of an improved image and Poststrasse management of this zone are included in the Plan. The idea is to considerably increase the value and attractiveness of the area for the owners, inhabitants, users and visitors by working together and developing successful concepts. And even today this lively shopping street has up to 1.1 million visitors per month (Status December 2019). Content/03 Bringing the Vision to Life The future Masterplan Apart from new paving throughout (which will be realized by the city of Wuppertal), the ISG will be realising certain measures including new street furniture; an impressive light design and a concept for improving the facades, which will serve as a recommendation and guideline for the owners/ landlords.
