Post Stay Activities Pack Key Dates: Activities Selection OPENS - Saturday 1st September 8:30pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) Activities Selection CLOSES - Tuesday 11th September 11:59pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time) Information about Post Stay Wow! Everyone on the contingent will be attending our amazing Post Stay planned in Rotorua. Get ready to experience some of New Zealand’s best activities and cultural experiences in the country’s volcanic region. We know that you will be a little tired from all the excitement of the Venture and will be feeling like a bit of a wind-down, so feel free to make your Post Stay in Rotorua as action-packed, or as relaxing as you like. When you log on to the online bookings system (check out the newsletter for details on how to login) you will see an amazing array of activities available. We have done our best to ensure that all the activities are available to everyone, but unfortunately it’s not possible for everyone to do every activity, there is just not enough time! Rest assured you will have an amazing Post Stay. Throughout your time at the Venture and particularly during our time in Rotorua you will be responsible for getting yourself to a specific activity or bus stop on time, and be ready to undertake the activity. If you are late or unprepared you may well miss that activity, and no refund will be issued. Included Value We are including many great activities during the Post Stay, including one of four travel day activities (Hobbiton Set Tour, Gondola and Luge, Hells Gate Geothermal Park or Rainbow Springs Nature Park), visits to Velocity Valley and Mitai Maori Village, and our Contingent Farewell Dinner. You will also get the choice for a free pass to either the Redwoods Treewalk or Zorbing. All the details for these activities are below. We believe that we have included enough to keep most Venturers & Leaders satisfied, and for those who want more there are plenty of options. Note: You will need to select a time to visit Velocity Valley and Mitai Maori Village in the Activity Booking System. Both of these groups will hold exactly half the Contingent so if you have a preference, be sure to enter this in early! How to pay A total of your selected activities will be displayed in the Activities Booking System. Before the final payment is due on November 1st a ‘Contingent Activities Charge’ totalling the above amount will placed on your account in the registration system. This activities charge will also be due on November 1st. Free and Un-booked Activities In addition to the optional activities listed in the following pages, there will be heaps of other activities to do in Rotorua. These may either be free, cost a small fee or just be somewhere great in Rotorua that you can visit yourself while we are there. More information on all of these activities will be available in your Post Stay manual, which you will receive later.
Waivers Pay attention – this is very important. After you finish selecting your activities you will be asked to download the waivers pack. Please complete and return these waivers back to us by 30th September. If we have not received your wavier for a particular activity by then you will be removed from the activity. We recommend completing all waivers (that you have permission for) even if you have not selected that particular activity, just in case things change when we are there. To submit your completed and signed waivers, you will be able to upload them to the Activity Booking System, which must be done by Sunday 30th September. Please note: It’s likely there will also be waivers for the Phase 1 & Phase 2 parts of the Venture. This is being managed by the NZ-based Venture Organising Committee and will have a different process. Activity Changes We are visiting New Zealand at their busiest time of year, so to ensure we could get you places on the best activities, we’ve had to book spots well in advance. Once your activities are selected through the system, these bookings will become final by the closing date (except for changes for medical reasons).
