What's it all about? Phase 2 At the beginning of 2021, it took five BGS teams (#Big5) three weeks and two days to cover the accumulated full distance from Bradford Grammar School to Cape Town (results opposite). Now the race is on to be first to repeat the journey with just their #Big5 teams... Team Team Teams will start at 2,750.21 miles (the best team total PHASE 1 Members from Phase 1) and the aim is to beat the other Entries Miles teams to the finishing point at 7,799 miles. How to Donate / Join a Team and Receive my Team Snood/Hat! To join #TheBigFiveJourneyHome please make a donation by following these steps: 1. Decide which #Big5 team you wish to join from Team Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Lion or Buffalo . 2. Please donate £20 in one of two ways: a. using this link www.GDBmanufacturing.com to order your free snood, following the instructions below: - Click through to 'Schools and other associations' - Click 'Bradford Grammar School RPA #Big5' - Order your team snood ensuring you choose the CORRECT snood for the team you are representing i.e. 'Team Rhino'. You may also wish to purchase a BGS Rugby face mask. b. Donate Sponsorship directly via Crowd Funding here. 3. Please email to katrina@gdbmanufacturing.co.uk if you have a problem when ordering your snood.
Please encourage others to take part! We encourage you to get more people active by recruiting others to your #Pride / #Herd – the larger your team, the quicker we get to back to BGS!: ➢ You can recruit other year groups, all your friends and family members and any other networks to join you before another team does! Remember school has over 1000 pupils – one mile each is 1000 miles! ➢ Once they have donated, they can also receive their free Snood in the post and can begin adding to their team's total. People from outside the school must use this form (for externals) to log their mileage. Mileage can be recorded in any way by using the following apps: • Click here for the iPhone/iPad Strava app. • Click here for the Android Strava app. ➢ Miles can be uploaded manually without an online tracker by (Clicking Here) . However; this is difficult to verify so will mean you may not be eligible for the individual prizes if you use this method.
Logging Mileage Once your donation has been made, your accumulated miles are eligible to be counted towards your team's total. Please log your miles using the following links: ➢ Pupils and staff log miles using this 'Pupil/Staff form' for each session. Please upload a screen shot as photographic proof from 'Strava' / 'iPhone Fitness App', or the like, to be eligible for prizes (ensure your parents are aware). ➢ People outside of BGS must use this 'Externals form' and keep a track of their milage using a fitness app similar to Strava.

Sponsorship targets... • Money can be donated directly through our crowd funding page here. • You can keep a track of money you have raised using this Sample Sponsorship Form (to be collected once the target is met). Sponsors are asked to pay directly into the crown funding page here. You could for example ask someone to: • Sponsor a certain amount of money per mile you or your team travels. • sponsor an amount of money for achieving a targeted number of miles • Or simply just make a donation to encourage you or your friend / family member to take part!
