Located at the mouth of the Kemena River, this town grew from a fishing village to a major economic force. On our tour today we travel out to the nearby Similajau National Park. It has one of the most beautiful coastal areas in Sarawak with miles of unspoiled sandy and rocky beaches facing the South China Sea. The park boasts 24 species of mammals, such as gibbons, banded langurs and longtailed macaque. There are 185 species of birds, hornbills and migratory water birds like Storm’s Stork, among others.
