Letter From The Chair Dear LISCC members, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a safe, peaceful, and healthy holiday season and had a chance to rest and recharge after an extremely challenging year. I would first like to thank the outgoing Executive Board - Victoria Ficuciello, David Cain, and Lauren Fontana - for their hard work, dedication, and for navigating us through the many challenges that were presented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Another big thank you goes out to our House Committee and Program Chair - Matthew Collins, Kaitlyn Rosploch, and Pooja Prabhudesai. They deserve a lot of recognition for always finding beautiful venues and engaging speakers, and even more so this year, for their teamwork and agility as we navigated through early days of the pandemic. Lastly, I would like to thank all our members and volunteers for your continued support. We’ve once again won the National Membership Retention Contest, retaining 88% of our membership base. This couldn’t be done without all your help and support. As we look towards the upcoming year, I would like to welcome our 2021 Executive Board: Treasurer - Matthew Collins Secretary - Alexandra Samper Chair Elect - Mallika Towne Treasurer Elect - Kaitlyn Rosploch I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to serve with such an enthusiastic and energetic group of people. I can’t promise that this will be the best year yet, but I’m sure we will make it an unforgettable one. As we continue to navigate through a global pandemic, there will be some changes to our anticipated 2021 events schedule. We are going to kick off this upcoming year with a virtual discussion with Lisa A. Napolione on “Defying Bias: The Power of Inclusivity in Driving Innovation.” Stay tuned as we work to finalize the date for this extremely important and relevant topic. Looking forward, the Executive Board will continue to monitor the NY State and Federal health guidelines and recommendations and will plan our events accordingly. In closing, I would like to encourage all our members to get more involved with the various events and volun- teer opportunities available through the LISCC. Please reach out to me or anyone on the board if you have any questions or ideas. If you would like to run for any of the Executive Board positions in the future, please reach out to Ruby Del Aguila and she will be more than happy to get you on the ballot. I am looking forward to an interesting and exciting year! Volodymyr Onyshchak 2021 LISCC Chair vonyshchak@estee.com

I am running for LISCC secretary to contribute to and get more involved in the SCC community. I just finished my first year working for the Tom Ford makeup team at Estee Lauder Companies. In the last year I have learned so much and I am excited to learn so much more here. I think that I would be great as LISCC Secretary because I am a very organized person and I am always looking for new ways to get involved in my community. Though I am still very new to the SCC I believe I will bring a helpful and enthusiastic voice to the organization as it’s Secretary. This would be a great opportunity for me learn more about everything the LISCC does while being a contributory person at the same time. I hope to gain new insight and connections inside this great community.
