The milestone means the 10836NAT Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as an Additional Language to Adults (TEAL) is officially designated as an ‘Approved Qualification’ (AQF6+). “The new TEAL meets teacher progression requirements of the Victorian TAFE Association Teaching Agreement, thus ensuring maximum benefit for Holmesglen graduates,” says Adam Kilburn, Head of Holmesglen English Language Centre. DECEMBER 2020 STUDENTS HELP HEALTHCARE HEROES WITH 1,000 CARE PACKS FOR NURSES Holmesglen – together with community partners, sponsors and local business – has introduced Hugs from Holmesglen, an initiative to provide much-needed care packs to nurses and frontline heath- care staff. The project has already provided over 1,000 care packs to hospitals where brave healthcare staff have been treating COVID-19 patients. The packs included pamper personal care items, food and drink, and vouchers.
