Pandemic-Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) Updated Information 1. Pandemic-Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) stimulus is back! Students who normally receive free and reduced meals at school through the National School Lunch Program are not able to get their free or reduced lunch due to learning virtually. The P-EBT stimulus is allotted to these individuals to assist with groceries during the COVID-19 pandemic. Individuals receiving active SNAP benefits receive P-EBT on the household’s existing EBT card. Did your student receive P-EBT for Aug/Sept on a P-EBT card? If so, the P-EBT stimulus is deposited onto your previous P-EBT card! If you no longer have your previous P-EBT card and your address has changed since you last received a P-EBT card, call the help desk at 1-855-306-8959 to request a new/replacement card. If your address has not changed since you last received a P-EBT card, call the automated line at 1-888-979-9949. A new card must be requested for each eligible student. 2. If you have never received P-EBT, a card will be issued for each child in the household that normally receives free and reduced meals through the National School Lunch Program. Call 888-979-9949 or visit www.ebtedge.com to register a new P-EBT card, check your P-EBT balance, and review recent transactions. For more information on P-EBT, visit the P-EBT Frequently Asked Questions page. 3. Students who attend public schools, and those that attend private schools that qualify for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program are eligible for the P-EBT stimulus. The daily rate for the P-EBT stimulus is $6.82. The following number of days of P-EBT are allotted to these individuals based on the student’s school district learning model each month: a. Virtual: 20 days of P-EBT stimulus i. This would result in a P-EBT stimulus amount of $136.40 b. Hybrid: 12 days of P-EBT stimulus i. This would result in a P-EBT stimulus amount of $81.84 c. In-Person: P-EBT stimulus is not issued to students learning in-person. 4. The P-EBT stimulus is sent to all children who receive free and reduced meals through the National School Lunch Program. If you do not want to receive the P-EBT stimulus, no worries! All you have to do is call 855-306-8959 and tell them you do not want P-EBT. This will remove you from receiving any further P-EBT stimulus payments. 5. P-EBT is now being allotted retroactively to ensure additional grocery assistance is available for the months students missed out on meals in school due to the pandemic! P-EBT stimulus payments will begin the week of March 15th and be sent every other week until all months of P-EBT from October to February are provided for. 6. Remember, P-EBT is a stimulus and its purpose is to provide grocery assistance to individuals whose children normally receive free and reduced meals through the National School Lunch Program while attending school! Individuals receive the P-EBT stimulus on their SNAP EBT card or on a P-EBT specific card that functions like a debit card. Do not throw away your P-EBT card once you have used all of your stimulus! It may be used for future P-EBT stimulus issuances. For any questions on P-EBT, contact the DCBS call center at 855-306-8959. Call 888-979-9949 or go to www.ebtedge.com to register your card, check your remaining P-EBT balance, or review any recent transaction. 7. The P-EBT stimulus amount is based on each school district’s learning model. School districts with all-virtual learning models are allotted 20 days of P-EBT stimulus, whereas school districts on a hybrid learning model (virtual and in- person learning) are allotted 12 days of P-EBT stimulus. Children who are enrolled in a school district that operated on a predominantly hybrid learning model will be allotted 12 days of P-EBT in a given month, even if the individual child participated in all-virtual learning that month. P-EBT allotment reconsideration is available for individuals who only receive 12 days of P-EBT stimulus when their child was enrolled in an all-virtual learning model. To have your P-EBT amount reconsidered, call 855-306-8959 and provide your child’s State Student ID and details about your child’s learning model to the DCBS Call Center. Anyone asking to have their P-EBT stimulus amount reconsidered must provide school contact information (Name and Phone Number) so that the child’s learning model for the considered month can be verified.

She has been a member of the Greenwood Swim & Dive Team since 9th grade and a member of RACE Aquatics Swim Club since she was 5 years old. Favorite Sports Team: Tennessee Titans Favorite Food: Mac and Cheese Favorite TV Show: The Vampire Diaries Favorite Movie: The Shallows Cameron James, Library Media Mrs. James is the Library Media Specialist, School Technology Coordinator, and Gifted & Talented Coordinator here at Greenwood. She also oversees our Cross-Age Tutoring classes that visit and tutor in our elementary schools. Mrs. James has been teaching for a total of 16 years and has been a Gator for all 16 as 11.5 of those years she was a social studies teacher. Mrs. James is from Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and graduated from Monroe County High School to then attend Western Kentucky University. After graduating from Western, Mrs. James worked for the Kentucky Department of Vocational Rehabilitation where she got the chance to work with high school students. The days she was able to go into the schools and work were more rewarding than the days she worked in the traditional office settings. Therefore after less than a year of out of college and doing that job, she resigned and went back to Western Kentucky University to earn her teaching certification. Mrs. James and her husband Mat, who recently celebrated their 15th anniversary, have two daughters: Langston and Greer. Langston is in 7th grade at Drakes Creek and Greer is in 4th grade at Cumberland Trace. They have two dogs: Rowdy, who is a boxer, and Stanley, who is a Schnoodle. They also have two guinea pigs, Ollie and Pig. Outside of school, Mrs. James enjoys reading, binging on good shows, visiting Disney World, and watching her daughters play competitive soccer, which fills up most of their weekends. Favorite teaching Moment: Mrs. James loves being in the classroom and her current role as a librarian but, the most fun she has had is all of the time spent with students during extra-curricular activities. From building the world's largest homecoming float to tailgating to chaperoning trips, it has all been a blast! A very tiring blast! Favorite Quote: "Don't forget who you are." - James Hays (Mrs. James late grandfather) Favorite Non-fiction Book: The Glass Castle Favorite Young Adult Literature Series: The Selection Series (It is basically The Bachelor in the dystopian form. What's not to love?)
