Nov 1415, 2019 George Washington University Cosponsors: George Washington University Call for Abstracts A collaborative theory conference sponsored by the following organizations: King International Nursing Group, Newman Systems Model Trustee Group Inc., Orem International Society, Roy Adaptation Association, Society of Rogerian Scholars, University of Connecticut School of Nursing, Watson Caring Science Institute, International Consortium of Parse Scholars, Transcultural Nursing Society, and International Association for Human Caring (interdisciplinary). An inspiring forum for all nurses (clinicians, researchers, educators, administrators, nurse practitioners, theorists, and undergraduate and graduate students) to celebrate nursing knowledge development through clinical, theoretical, and research presentations related to nursing theory. There will be twentyfour peer reviewed presentations following a keynote panel with time for responses to the panel. A silent auction will be used to raise scholarship funds. GENERAL INFORMATION: Studies in progress and completed projects will be reviewed for either paper or poster presentations. Submissions by students are welcomed. Each paper presentation will be allowed 30 minutes (includes 5 minutes for questions and answers). Additional formats (symposium, panel, etc.) will be considered. All abstracts are to be submitted in paragraph format. Poster authors must be present to discuss their work during the designated session. Abstracts will be selected for presentation based on merit through a blind review. After the conference, with the author’s permission, abstracts and Power Points will also be posted on the King International Nursing Group or another nursing theorist’s community event site on the Virginia Henderson Global Nursing eRepository. Abstracts should not exceed 300 words, using single spaced Times New Roman 12 font. Center the title in upper case font. Submission deadline:May 1, 2019. Notification.
