On International Tiger's Day International Conference on Wildlife Forensics, Its Laws & Conservation Date - 28th and 29th July 2020 Jointly Organized With & Department of Forensic Science (School of Basic and Applied Sciences) Galgotias University, Greater Noida
The Legal Desire’s ICWLC Conference organized by Dept. of Forensic Science & CI, Legal Desire is a unique & one of the largest gatherings of wildlife professionals, students and wildlife supporters in India. It will provide insights on various topics related to wildlife and crimes associated with it, educational and networking opportunities through this platform with the working professionals in this field as they gather and share their ideas to work towards the betterment of wildlife, it being the need of the hour. This conference is a charity event, and all the collected fund will be donated to "Wildlife Conservation Trust" in good faith. The sole purpose of the conference is to work for the betterment of Wildlife by incorporating experts from different platforms/fields. Long Term Goal - To create a wildlife society/congress under Legal Desire that includes experts from all fields including wildlife forensics, law, forest department officials, on- ground people, academicians, wildlife organisations, including others to discuss the problems faced by wildlife in India as a whole & and solutions to tackle the whole situation.

For Safeguarding India’s Life-giving Ecosystems The Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT) was founded to safeguard India’s life-giving ecosystems in a holistic, sustainable manner. Recognising the interconnectedness between people and ecosystems, WCT uses a 360° approach to conservation by placing equal emphasis on both forest and wildlife conservation and community development. We work closely with forest departments across the country to fortify on-ground protection by raining and equipping frontline forest staff. Through partnerships with NGOs, the Trust is attempting to strengthen public education systems, provide alternative livelihood options to rural youth and make healthcare accessible to people living in and around India’s forests. The idea is simple secure key wildernesses to safeguard wildlife, people and rivers, and mitigate climate change.” WCT’s mission is to secure vital wildlife habitats while catalysing upliftment of marginalised communities. Playing a catalytic role in conservation of large landscapes, WCT focuses on strengthening sustainable ecosystems that will continue to serve wildlife and communities in the long-term. Currently, WCT works in and around 160 Protected Areas across 23 states in the country covering 82% of India’s 50 tiger reserves, 24% of the 655 National Parks and sanctuaries, and impacting a population base of approximately 3.5 million people. Core areas of work focus on: Conservation Research; Conservation Behaviour; Human Wildlife Interface Management; Law Enforcement Training and Forensics; Education, Livelihoods and Health of Frontline Forest Staff. Department of Forensic Science (School of Basic and Applied Sciences) For Transcending New Boundaries in Education & Research Galgotias University (GU) is a self-financed private university in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was granted university status in 2011 by the U.P. Government under University Act. The university was set up with the vision to develop and maintain a culture of multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary education. The University has set up various schools, namely, School of Engineering & Technology, School of Business, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Law, School of Basic & Applied Sciences, etc. with an endeavor to prepare students for understanding all aspects of societal challenges. The Dept. of Forensic Science offers Graduate, Post graduate and Doctoral Programs in Forensic Science. School of Basic and Applied sciences had taken the initiative to start B.Sc.
