I learned many years ago that it is almost impossible to change a man/woman’s mind. But people often will make a new decision based on new Police Department: evidence and information. Deputy Danielle Johnson We have had a recent break from more than a year of restrictions on our normal lives in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. For a com- plete list go to their website– www.prioritywaste.com or call 1-855-WASTE65 LEAF BURNING AND RECREATIONAL FIRES * No burning on October 30th or 31st * The burning of leaves, grass or twigs shall only be permitted during Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. *No burning on streets or sidewalks within the village. *Water source, such as a garden hose available at the fire site at all times. *Burning shall be under the immediate supervision of a responsible person at least 18 years of age *No burning within 20 feet of any building, within 5 feet of any lot line or near any combustible material. *No burning at any time or place when wind conditions will create or be apt to create a nuisance or a danger to any person or property. *Recreational fires should be outside in a container that is commercially constructed for use as a fire pit that can contain all ashes and cinder. All fires are limited to a container no larger than 36 inches in diame- ter. *Burning is only allowed in the rear yard.

Please leave your porch light on during this time if you are passing out treats. Trick-or-treaters should wear light reflective material or carry a flashlight or glows- tick. Be sure kids have a clear field of vision and can hear properly, all these things will help keep kids safe while they are out and about in the village. A responsible adult should also accompany them
