EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE PRESIDENT The President is the principal leader of the Club and has overall responsibility for the Club’s administration and development. The President sets the overall annual committee agenda (consistent with the views of members), helps the committee prioritise its goals and then keeps the committee on track by working within that overall framework. At an operational level, the major function of the President is to facilitate effective committee meetings. The President is elected by the members and responsible for representing the views of the Club and its members. Responsibilities and Duties Manage committee and/or executive meetings Manage the annual general meeting Represent the Club at local, regional, state and national levels Act as a facilitator for Club activities Ensure the planning and budgeting for the future is carried out in accordance with the wishes of the members Drive the development of the Club Be a spokesperson for the Club to outside interests Arbitrate in disputes Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the President is someone who: can communicate effectively is well informed of all Club activities is aware of the future directions and plans of members has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all office holders and subcommittees is a supportive leader for all the organisation’s members The estimated time commitment required as the President is approximately 10 - 15 hours per week during the season and approximately 5 – 10 hours out of season. The President is appointed for a 12 month term elected annually at the AGM. 4
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENT The Vice-President supports the President in providing leadership to the Club overall including organising the committee and over-seeing the performance of the Club. The Vice-President steps into the Presidents role in their absence and can often be considered a successor when the role becomes available. The Vice-President is directly responsible to President and the members of the Club. Responsibilities and Duties Manage committee and/or executive meetings in the absence of the President Represent the Club at local, regional, state and national levels Act as a facilitator for Club activities Be a spokesperson for the Club to outside interests Arbitrate in disputes Be an alternate signatory for the Club for legal purposes and financial purposes Oversees all Rugby Operations Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Vice President is someone who: can communicate effectively is well informed of key organisation activities is aware of the future directions and plans of members has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all office holders and subcommittees is a supportive leader for all the organisation’s members The estimated time commitment required as the Vice President is approximately 5 – 10 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 - 5 hours out of season. The Vice President is appointed for a 12 month term elected annually at the AGM. 5
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SECRETARY The Secretary is the chief administration officer of the Club and provides the coordinating link between members, the management committee and outside agencies. The secretary is directly responsible to the President and members of the Club. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare the agenda for Club/group meetings in consultation with the President Make arrangements including venue, date, times and hospitality for Club meetings Send adequate notice of the meetings including agenda Call for and receive nominations for committees and other positions prior to the AGM Take and write up the minutes of meetings Read, reply and file correspondence promptly Collate and arrange for the printing of the annual report Maintain files of legal documents such as constitutions, leases and titles Act as the public officer of the Club liaising with the public, affiliated bodies and government Represent the Club at meetings and communicate information accordingly Internal and external communications by email, website and/or newsletter to members Maintain registers of members’ names and addresses, life members and sponsors Respond to general duties as directed by the Club committee Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Secretary is someone who: can communicate effectively, is well organised and can delegate tasks can maintain confidentiality on relevant matters has a good working knowledge of the constitution has good knowledge of computer based communication systems The estimated time commitment required as the Secretary is approximately 5 – 10 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 - 5 hours out of season. The Secretary is appointed for a 12 month term elected annually at the AGM. 6
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE TREASURER The Treasurer is the chief financial management officer for the Club. The Treasurer is directly responsible to the President and members of the Club. Responsibilities and Duties Prepare a budget and monitor it carefully Keep the Club’s books up-to-date Keep a proper record of all payments and monies received Make sure financial reports are available and understood at all committee meetings Show evidence that money received is banked and documentation provided for all money paid out Ensure that information for an audit is prepared each year; arrange the audit Give Treasurer’s report at regular meetings and when required Produce an annual financial report Send out accounts and pay the bills Any other duties or responsibilities imposed by the Club’s Constitution or requested by the Club’s executive committee Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Treasurer is someone who: is well organised and able to work in a logical orderly manner is able to allocate regular time periods to maintain the books is able to keep good records and manage financial records by computer is aware of information needed to be kept for the annual audit The estimated time commitment required as the Treasurer is approximately 5 – 10 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 - 5 hours out of season. The Treasurer is appointed for a 12 month term elected annually at the AGM. 7

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE JUNIOR PRESIDENT The Junior President is part of the executive committee of the Club and is a principal leader responsible for the administration and development of the junior sector of the Club. The Junior President sets the overall annual agenda (consistent with the views of members), helps the junior committee prioritise its goals and then keeps the committee on track by working within that overall framework. The Junior President is directly responsible to the President and members of the Club. Responsibilities and Duties Recruit and coordinate junior committee volunteers to fulfil roles and responsibilities in order to achieve desired outcomes of the committee Manage junior committee and/or executive meetings Represent juniors at local, regional, state and national levels as required Act as a facilitator for junior activities as required Be a spokesperson for the juniors to outside interests as required Ensure the junior committee planning and budgeting for the future is carried out Drive the development of the juniors Arbitrate in disputes Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Junior President is someone who: can communicate effectively is well informed of key organisation activities is aware of the future directions and plans of members has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all office holders and subcommittees is a supportive leader for all the organisation’s members The estimated time commitment required as the Junior President is approximately 10 - 15 hours per week during the season and approximately 5 – 10 hours out of season. CLUB MANAGEMENT REGISTRAR The Registrar is responsible for keeping Club records, particularly making sure all players are financial, registered and entered on the appropriate databases. The Registrar is directly responsible to the Club Secretary and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Ensure that all participants are registered to the Club on the Rugby AU Rugby Link database and maintain the accuracy of these records Assist players with registration and trouble shoot as required Supply coaching staff with periodic reports on player registrations as requested Allocate the compilation of club records annually including: - Player eligibility for final series - Historic records Present to the Executive an annual compilation of all Club records and associated documentation Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Registrar is someone who: is well organised is able to gain regular access to a computer with suitable internet access is able to allocate regular time periods to maintain registrations is able to communicate regularly with Club coaches to ensure all participants are registered is able to keep accurate club records and manipulate these records to provide reports is aware of policy matters in relation to registration and insurance The estimated time commitment required as the Registrar is approximately 3 - 5 hours per week during player registration period and approximately 2 hours during the season. The Registrar is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 10
CLUB MANAGEMENT GROUNDS MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR The Grounds Maintenance Coordinator keeps a priority list of jobs and repairs required and recruits members or externals to undertake work as needed. The role is to oversee the work, not necessarily to do it. The Grounds Maintenance Coordinator is directly responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Develop and maintain a prioritised list of facility maintenance tasks needing to be done Maintain a list of member skills and/or qualifications and areas where they will lend a helping hand Recruit and encourage involvement of volunteer assistance to undertake tasks in their own time. Monitor progress and thank on completion Purchase or arrange for purchase of minor items to undertake work approved by the committee Develop a schedule of regular maintenance items with the committee To alert the committee of any major works or repairs required for consideration To organise working bees if considered necessary Liaise with Grants Coordinator for possible grant opportunities Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Grounds Maintenance Coordinator is someone who: is good at involving people and recognising people for their support can prioritise and coordinate activities has good communication skills has sufficient computer skills (or access to) to develop and maintain a spread sheet of tasks required, completed, by whom and cost The estimated time commitment required as the Grounds Maintenance Coordinator is approximately 5 hours per week during the season and approximately 3 hours out of season. The Grounds Maintenance Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 11
CLUB MANAGEMENT SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR The Sponsorship Coordinator is responsible for organising all financial support requirements for any required areas of the Club as identified by the President and the committee. This may include a Club sponsor, event sponsor and equipment sponsors. The Sponsorship Coordinator collaborates with the Treasurer is directly responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Review and establish awareness of current sponsorship packages and sponsor commitments Seek to maintain and raise the sponsorship funds for the Club Keep a proper record of sponsor details and document sponsorship arrangements Communicate with current sponsors regarding their commitment for the coming season Organise that signage be produced and erected as per commitment Organise logos to be printed on team uniforms, update logos on website Make sure sponsor representatives are met when attending functions or match day Liaise with the Event Coordinator regarding sponsor invitations to special function Liaise with Communications Coordinators to ensure that sponsors get maximum recognition Give a report at regular meetings and when required Send out a thank you letter at the completion of the season and a sponsor survey to support planning for the following year Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Sponsorship Coordinator is someone who: is organised and professional is able to delegate and support a working group is personable and can present the Club and the virtues of being a sponsor is creative in looking at new ways to service and satisfy sponsors The estimated time commitment required as the Sponsorship Coordinator is 2 - 3 hours per week. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The Sponsorship Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 12
CLUB MANAGEMENT GRANTS COORDINATOR The Grants Coordinator is responsible for the preparation and submission of funding grants and for providing leadership and advice on potential and existing grant arrangements. The Grants Coordinator collaborates with the Treasurer and is responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Produce a consolidated list of all possible grants and funding streams available for the Club In consultation with the President and the committee, generate a list of strategic priorities and needs that align with possible funding targets In collaboration with the President, prepare the applications for grants and funding that best align to the Club’s needs Seek the assistance of a grant writer if required Ensure all the requirements of the grant is met Together with the Treasurer, effectively acquit any grant funds received and produce a report to the committee Knowledge and Skills Required can communicate effectively is well informed of key organisation activities is aware of the future directions and plans of members has a good working knowledge of the constitution, rules and the duties of all office holders and subcommittees is a supportive leader for all the organisation’s members The estimated time commitment required as the Sponsorship Coordinator is 2 - 3 hours per week. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The Grants Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 13

CLUB MANAGEMENT EVENTS COORDINATOR Under the direction of the Club committee, the Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing various events for Club members throughout the year including: Season Launch, Ladies Day, Sponsors Day, Back2Noosa Day, White Ribbon Round, The Long Lunch, Presentation Night and other special events. The Events Coordinator collaborates with the Secretary, Treasurer and the Communications & Media Coordinator and is responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Appoint a sub-committee to program and organise events for the Club. Prepare a calendar of events that will attract the widest involvement from all members of the Club prior to the commencement of the season Create an event plan and budget for committee approval Ensure that all events held are at least cost neutral to the Club. Communicate the event requirements to key personnel Liaise with the Secretary and Communications & Media Coordinator to achieve maximum promotion of the event Manage ticket sales as required Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Events Coordinator is someone who: is highly organised and an effective communicator is networking savvy is adaptable and can withstand pressure is creative and lots of fun has basic understanding of events management The estimated time commitment required as the Events Coordinator is approximately 5 hours per week during the season. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The Events Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 15
CLUB MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATIONS & MEDIA COORDINATOR The Communications & Media Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the free flow of internal and external Club information as well as seek to maximise media opportunities for the Club and its Sponsors. The Communications & Media Coordinator is responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Develop and implement a public relations plan that will better market and promote the Club Regular social media updates concerning upcoming events, activities and achievements Submit relevant newsletter content to the Secretary by deadline Ensure Club website and social media platforms are up to date Act as a liaison officer for the media at Club events and functions Develop and maintain a close working relationship with all local media personnel Keep the President and committee informed of all media activities Ensure that Sponsors receive maximum exposure in all spheres Arrange Sponsors advertisements in the Club’s newsletter and social media platforms Ensure effective internal and external communication of all Club activities Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Communications & Media Coordinator is someone who: has strong written and verbal communication skills is well informed of key organisation activities is aware of the future directions and club plans has computer literacy, knowledge of social media platforms and creative application The estimated time commitment required as the Communications & Media Coordinator is approximately 3 - 5 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 hours out of season. The Communications & Media Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 16
CLUB MANAGEMENT SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP COORDINATOR The Social Membership Coordinator manages the Club’s Social Membership Program and plays an important role to help make members feel comfortable, connected to others and actively encourages members to attend events. The Social Membership Coordinator issues the Social Membership packages on members joining. Responsibilities and Duties Order of Social Membership merchandise Promote Social Membership at Club registration day and game day Take new members through an induction and ensure they are familiar with Club facilities Provide new members with their Social Membership Package Keep accurate membership records using Excel spreadsheet Provide the Secretary with a list of new members to include on Club database Relay any issues or problems to the committee as they arise Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Social Membership Coordinator is someone who: has excellent communication and interpersonal skills is positive and enthusiastic is social and friendly in approaching others can develop good relationships internally and externally enjoys the Club themselves and be enthusiastic about the Club and its activities is very accepting of all people and keen to develop a diverse member base is attuned to the interests of all members The estimated time commitment required as the Social Membership Coordinator is approximately 3 - 4 hours per week at the commencement of the season. The Social Membership Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 17
CLUB MANAGEMENT GAME DAY COORDINATOR The Game Day Coordinator is responsible for all home match day operations and ensures they are conducted smoothly throughout the season and that all rules and regulations are abided by and any incidents are recorded in the correct manner. The Game Day Coordinator collaborates with the Club Manager and is responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Co-ordinate the setting up and pulling down of fields Ensure all amenities are kept clean and have adequate disposable items Ensure the correct reporting of any maintenance or repairs that is required to club facilities Ensure that an area is set aside for any sin bin or send off Greet the referees and visiting clubs personnel and show them the dressing rooms Be actively engaged in controlling the field and surrounds during matches Assist the referees, medical team and coaching staff as required Control and supervise all spectators and supporters Supervise that all alcohol is consumed in the designated area only Report any incidents to the Club Manager Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Game Day Coordinator is someone who: is highly organised and has the ability to multi task has excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively liaise with players, coaches and spectators/supporters has a sound knowledge of the rules/regulations of the competition The estimated time commitment required as the Game Day Coordinator is approximately 6 hours on match days during the season. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The Game Day Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 18
CLUB MANAGEMENT VOLUNTEERS COORDINATOR The Volunteers Coordinator is responsible for the human resource planning; recruiting, selection, training and recognition of volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible to the President and the committee. Responsibilities and Duties Develop policies and procedures related to involving Club volunteers Assess the volunteer needs for the general running and special events of the Club Recruit and recommend the appointment of volunteers to roles that suit them Organise the orientation and induction of volunteers Organise volunteer rosters and maintaining accurate volunteer records e.g. qualifications, blue card Identify and organise the training and development opportunities for volunteers Ensure that volunteers are reimbursed for their approved out-of-pocket expenses Ensure all volunteers are recognised for their efforts Submit regular reports to the committee Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Volunteers Coordinator is someone who: has excellent communication and interpersonal skills is positive and enthusiastic has time management skills has good understanding of Club needs The estimated time commitment required as the Volunteers Coordinator is approximately 2 - 3 hours per week. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The Volunteers Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 19
RUGBY OPERATIONS HEAD COACH The Head Coach has a lead role in the management of the all senior teams and is responsible for demonstrating leadership around the technical and tactical development of the team’s players for selection as well as for the team’s management personnel. The Head Coach works closely with the Director of Coaching and Rugby Operations Manager and is responsible to the Vice President. Responsibilities and Duties Provide a seasonal plan incorporating all aspects of the campaign Work with team management staff to decide on dates and venues for trainings Maintain a thorough knowledge of the laws of the game Build a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides players enjoyment, success and challenge Plan, manage and lead training sessions Develop technical, tactical and life skills of the players Manage and maintain resources and equipment Provide players with specific and meaningful performance feedback and feedforward Ensure the health and safety of the players and team’s management personnel Communicate training plan with team’s management personnel Willingness to develop as a coach by attending workshops or seeking professional development opportunities Work with the Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Trainer to select a playing squad Work with the team manager and trainer to monitor and manage player’s welfare Encourage players and teams officials to abide by the rules at all times and respect Club values Liaise with the Director of Coaching and Rugby Operations Manager and provide regular updates of the team’s progress to the committee Support, participate or facilitate professional development programs for senior coaches 20
Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Head Coach is someone who: has Rugby AU current Smart Rugby accreditation plus Foundation Coach (Level 1), Developing Coach (Level 2), Emerging Coach (Level 3) coaching accreditation or an interested in working towards this has a current First Aid certificate has a thorough knowledge of the laws of the game has appropriate and strong communication, management and coaching skills can build positive relationships with players and coaching staff is committed to working towards the Club’s goals understands the characteristics and needs of the players in relation to their stage of development has a sound understanding of modern coaching and teaching principles with good knowledge of rugby – both technical and tactical has a good understanding of the components of a training session and of competitions has the knowledge and ability to demonstrate different coaching styles, approaches and techniques is able to make recommendations for improvement and success can provide accurate player assessments, highlighting ability, potential and recommending areas of development is well planned and organised can leads by example, shows initiative and drive is highly motivated and determined is flexible and understanding of different cultures and backgrounds when dealing with people The estimated time commitment required as the Head Coach is approximately 20 -25 hours per week during the season and approximately 15 – 20 hours pre-season. The Head Coach is appointed for a 12 month term. 21

RUGBY OPERATIONS RUGBY OPERATIONS MANAGER The Rugby Operations Manager is responsible for the management of all rugby operations and playing support of the senior teams, working closely with the Head Coach and Director of Coaching on achieving Club rugby goals. The Rugby Operations Manager is responsible to the Vice President. Responsibilities and Duties Manage all senior rugby activities working with the rugby operations team and key stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient coordination of rugby-related matters across the Club Manage recruitment and retention of players Work closely with coaches and managers to manage player expectations and to ensure they understand values, key policies and procedures and ethos of the Club Support the work of the Head Coach in creating and maintaining the best possible environment and culture for the teams to perform at the highest level Control and revue all aspects of rugby operations budget, ensuring the budget delivers the best possible support for the coaches and players whilst keeping costs within the annual budget Plan and implement all team travel arrangements Facilitate and communicate with other clubs Set annual player registration fees and inclusions with the President and Treasurer Handle off field administration procedures and provide monthly reports to committee Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Rugby Operations Manager is someone who: has strong organisational, business management and computer skills has very strong inter-personal skills and understands team functions and environment has the ability to work on own initiative to identify and address potential problems The estimated time commitment required as the Rugby Operations Manager is approximately 3 hour per week during the season. The Rugby Operations Manager is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 23
RUGBY OPERATIONS DIRECTOR OF COACHING The Director of Coaching is responsible for the recruitment, development and management of all senior coaches and is proactive in developing the standard of Rugby. The Director of Coaching works closely with the Head Coach and Rugby Operations Manager is responsible to the Vice President. Responsibilities and Duties Identify, recruit and develop senior coaches ensuring appropriate coaches are assigned Establish the needs of senior coaches, suggest courses and personal development opportunities Take a long term view that allows coaches to develop with a team over time Promote Rugby AU coaching courses and other coaching events Encourage the sharing and spread of best practice between coaches at different levels Design and lead the implementation of a suitable Club coach development plan Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Director of Coaching is someone who: has Rugby Australia current Smart Rugby accreditation plus Foundation Coach (Level 1), Developing Coach (Level 2), Emerging Coach (Level 3) coaching accreditation or an interested in working towards this has a thorough knowledge of the laws of the game is a strong communicator that is approachable and encouraging is well organised and practical can build positive relationships with players and coaching staff is committed to working towards the Club’s goals The estimated time commitment required as the Director of Coaching is approximately 3 - 5 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 – 3 hours pre-season. RUGBY OPERATIONS TEAM COACH The Team Coach is responsible for the development of player’s skills as well as promotes the values of the Club and a positive attitude towards Rugby and life in general. The Team Coach collaborates with the Director of Coaching and Rugby Operations Manager and is responsible to the Head Coach. Responsibilities and Duties Build a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides players enjoyment, success and challenge Plan, manage and lead training sessions Develop technical, tactical and life skills of the players Provide players with specific and meaningful performance feedback and feedforward Ensure the health and safety of the players and team’s management personnel Communicate training plan with team’s management personnel Willingness to develop as a coach by attending workshops or seeking professional development opportunities Be able to work with the Assistant Coaches and Trainer to select a playing squad Encourage players and team officials to abide by the rules at all times Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Team Coach is someone who: has Rugby Australia current Smart Rugby accreditation plus Foundation Coach (Level 1), Developing Coach (Level 2), Emerging Coach (Level 3) coaching accreditation or an interested in working towards this has a current First Aid certificate has a sound understanding of modern coaching and teaching principles has a thorough knowledge of the laws of the game is highly organised with good motivational and communication skills The estimated time commitment required as the Team Coach is approximately 8 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 – 3 hours pre-season. RUGBY OPERATIONS TEAM MANAGER The Team Manager is responsible for the administration and management of the team and welfare of all team members. The Team Manager collaborates with the Director of Rugby and Rugby Operations and is responsible to the Head Coach. Responsibilities and Duties Liaise with all team members, coaches and officials (and parents where applicable) to ensure the players are appropriately dressed and informed of training, competition and Club functions Adjudicate any problems that may arise amongst team members, the coach and supporters (and parents where applicable) Act as liaison officer between the Club and the team Ensure all equipment is safe, the first aid kit is ready for use and water bottles are filled Ensure team sheets and any other rules/regulations are observed and carried out Ensure all welfare and safety requirements for the team are met Ensure under 18 players are supervised at all times Ensure Rugby AU and Club Codes of Conduct and expectations of player behaviour are followed Distribute information and updates to players and coaches as required Contributes information and pictures of the team to the Communications & Media Coordinator to ensure publicity and interest around the team is maximised Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Team Manager is someone who: has strong organisational, interpersonal and oral communication skills is able to use a computer and keep accurate Club records is aware of policy matters in relation to registration, insurance and RugbyLink has sound knowledge of the selection procedures and rules/regulations of the competition The estimated time commitment required as the Team Manager is approximately 8 hours per week during the season. RUGBY OPERATIONS TEAM TRAINER The Team Trainer works in conjunction with the Head Coach and other coaching staff to ensure all players reach and maintain required fitness levels and have a safe, healthy and enjoyable training and playing environment. The Team Trainer is responsible to the Head Coach. Responsibilities and Duties Fulfil team fitness training requirements under the direction of the Head Coach Coordinate all training equipment as required by the Head Coach Lead warm up and recovery sessions Assist any injured/ill player on and off the field of play and at trainings and/or games Provide advice and support on suitable nutrition and hydration for players Assess, monitors and evaluates the physical condition of players for competition Liaise with player’s doctor and/or physiotherapist relating to any injury/illness Support the team staff to ensure all training venues and equipment is at a suitable and safe standard including but not limited to training surfaces and training gear Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Team Trainer is someone who: has appropriate accreditation/qualification in sport fitness including current First Aid certificate has good motivation and communication skills and is well organised has good understanding of core strength, muscular power, agility, speed, endurance, flexibility, injury prevention and injury management has good understanding in how to conduct standard fitness testing and provide feedback to players has ability to analyse player’s fitness levels and provides advice on areas of improvement has the ability to adapt to different training demands The estimated time commitment required as the Team Trainer is approximately 5 hours per week during the season and approximately 2 – 3 hours pre-season. The Team Trainer is appointed for a 12 month term. 28
RUGBY OPERATIONS CLUB CAPTAIN The Club Captain is responsible for the management and wellbeing of the Club playing members. The Club Captain collaborates with the Rugby Operations Manager, committee and players and is responsible to the Vice President. Responsibilities and Duties Welcome all new players and recruits Represent the playing group and speak at functions on their behalf Work with the Rugby Operations team in ensuring efficient transition of player details Ensure Club morale and spirit is maintained amongst the playing members Maintain discipline amongst the players including imposing sanctions as outlined in Club Code of Conduct Assist the Rugby Operations Manager in identifying key markets for recruiting players Contribute to the coaching team in providing players with the opportunity to excel Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Club Captain is someone who: is outgoing, friendly, welcoming and approachable is a good communicator and listener is a good leader with sound credentials is a good role model for younger players is able to commit the time to be present at trainings and matches The estimated time commitment required as the Club Captain is approximately 1 – 2 hours per week during the season. The Club Captain is appointed for a 12 month term. 29
RUGBY OPERATIONS UNIFORM & GEAR COORDINATOR The Uniform & Gear Coordinator is responsible for the safekeeping, distribution and maintenance of Club equipment and players clothing. The Uniform & Gear Coordinator collaborates with the Registrar and Team Coaches and Managers and is responsible to the Rugby Operations Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Perform a stock-take of team apparel and Club equipment prior to season commencing Work with coaching staff and identify new equipment needs, obtain quotes and submit orders In conjunction with the Sponsorship Coordinator, arrange logo requirements for Club uniforms Liaise with supplier and order Club clothing as requested and approved by the committee Allocate Club uniforms to each Team Manager and maintain records of uniforms issued Arrange for the collection of Club jerseys at the end of the season and assess any missing items Arrange for the safe storage of uniforms and other Club equipment during the off season Encourage players and Club officials to respect the Club’s gear and equipment at all times Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Uniform & Gear Coordinator is someone who: can communicate effectively is well organised is aware of the importance of sponsorship, coaching and player requirements can meet manufacturing deadlines The estimated time commitment required as the Uniform & Gear Coordinator is approximately 2 – 3 hours per week prior to the commencement and at the of the season. The Uniform & Gear Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 30
RUGBY OPERATIONS FIRST AID COORDINATOR The First Aid Coordinator works with the First Aid team to ensure all first aid needs of the Club is met. The First Aid Coordinator collaborates with Rugby Operations and is responsible to the Rugby Operations Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Roster appropriately trained individuals to game days, training sessions and other Club activities Ensure all volunteers understand the Club’s emergency procedures and are issued with copies of the Club’s First Aid policy Monitor volunteer qualifications and arrange first aid and/or immediate care training for new and existing volunteers as required Make sure first aid kits are issued to appointed individuals, suitably stocked, in good condition and contents are in date Keep records of player medical conditions and injuries securely and confidentially and ensure first aiders are briefed on any relevant conditions Ensure serious injuries are reported promptly in line with Rugby AU regulations Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the First Aid Coordinator is someone who: has excellent communication and interpersonal skills is highly organised and can forward plan is positive and enthusiastic has first aid knowledge or an interested in working towards this The estimated time commitment required as the First Aid Coordinator is approximately 1 – 2 hour per week during the season. This time commitment may vary during key times of the year. The First Aid Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term and may nominate for a Club Committee position elected annually at the AGM. 31
RUGBY OPERATIONS BALL KIDS COORDINATOR The Ball Kids Coordinator liaises with managers of junior teams to arrange players for senior home match day duties. The Ball Kids Coordinator collaborates with Rugby Operations and is responsible to the Rugby Operations Manager. Responsibilities and Duties Recruit junior players and coordinate a roster for home game duties Communicate roster and give direction to parents Train ball kids on their role and responsibilities Meet ball kids prior to the start of the game Ensure Club specific uniform is worn Arrange post game light refreshments for ball kids that have fulfilled their duties Knowledge and Skills Required Ideally the Ball Kids Coordinator is someone who: is welcoming, approachable and patient is a good communicator and listener is encouraging of the involvement of the ball kids with senior teams has a blue card or is eligible to apply for one The estimated time commitment required as the Ball Kids Coordinator is approximately 1 – 2 hours per week during the season. The Ball Kids Coordinator is appointed for a 12 month term. 32
