Just like the magic of a wish, this gala is truly a wondrous event. We are extremely proud to co-chair the fifth annual
Night of Wonders gala - when wishes take flight - a reimagined event in an unconventional space.
Every month, the BC & Yukon Chapter grants 10 wishes on average, and unfortunately the number of eligible
wish children continues to increase. Night of Wonders has grown so dramatically since its inception that it is now
generating nearly one-third of Children’s Wish’s operating budget and funding nearly half of all their wishes annually.
Night of Wonders encapsulates the essence of wishes – creating joy, awe, and wonder. We are confident you too, will
be inspired by the profound joy and transformation a wish can bring to a child with a life-threatening illness. Please
find a personalized proposal enclosed, summarizing 2017’s event and ways we can work wonders together.

THE NIGHT Experience the wonder of a wish at an extraordinary event in an unconventional space. The 4th annual gala to benefit Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada lived up to its reputation as an evening of magical transformation – truly a Night of Wonders. Each year Night of Wonders hosts an exclusive, sellout guest list of Vancouver’s business leaders, social luminaries, and media personalities. In 2018 the guest list is expected to grow to 300+ seats due to popular demand. The Details Date: March 8, 2018 Venue: London Aviation Centre, South Terminal at YVR Tickets: $500 per person VIP Helicopter transportation + ticket: $1,000 Corporate Table of 8: $5,000 Wish Granter Sponsorship (table of 8): $10,000 allocated directly to one wish child
OUR GUESTS Some of our esteemed guests at Night of Wonders 2017 included executives and business leaders at distinguished Vancouver and BC companies. We are honoured to host some of the city’s most influential leaders each year. Our guests range from late 30s to mid-60s, are mostly parents, and are members of largely affluent communities. They are philanthropic and passionate about the welfare of children and our community. Music inspires us all. But for 17 year-old Jaimey, its significance runs even deeper.
Music is a source of courage and the foundation of Jaimey’s dreams. Her favourite
artists range from classics like the Beatles to pop favourites such as Taylor Swift. She
is also a musician in her own right, an accomplished singer-songwriter and a master
of the guitar and the banjo.
It’s not surprising that Jaimey has set her sights on a career as a musician. She’s
already got lots of life experience to draw from, having faced cancer three times.
Jaimey was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was 5
years old. “I have been battling cancer since I was 5. Music has helped me push
through everything,” she says.
When Jaimey found out she was eligible for a wish, she immediately knew it would be something music
related. In the end she chose to have her very own professional recording session.
Jaimey has had several great opportunities and the most exciting of her career so far was to perform at
Sunfest Country Music Festival which included country superstars Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley. Her
wish is set to take place in late March. Meanwhile, she continues to perform live in and around her hometown
of Victoria, BC, and will be the guest of honour at the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada’s Night of Over 225 local leaders and influential members of the Vancouver business community came together
