FAMILY THAT TURNS DUST TO GOLD: How the Khan’s dedicate their lives to racing. KasieNova Lycan Shaukat and his wife Zaakira Khan love dust and have converted their son to love car racing. The Khan’s family always had passion and love for fast cars and speed. It was only right to get into the sport. Hence, they met at the Oval track and became the power couple at the track, having won any award on offer in- cluding 3 championships each. Shaukat and Zaakira always motivates and support’s each other when they lose. A lose for one of the pair means a lose for the family, and therefore try by all means humanly possible to motivate and guide each other. At times, they work through the night practicing and fixing their cars, ensuring the cars are in good condition and ready to win more championships to be onto their trophy cabinet. The family spend their own money to finance the hobby as it is none financial generating sport. However, at times the are sponsored by Dr Ahmed Jamaloodeen who also inspired the couple to join the sport. The sport has the ability to grow only if sponsors can recognise the talent at the Oval track and invest. The pair aims to track their names onto history books by being the first couple from Newcastle to partici- pate in regional championships in 2018. The future is great for Shaukat and his wife Zaakira Khan. Indeed dust is their Gold. “If you can dream it, you can do it.” —Walt Disney www.topsymedia.co.za 3

“The future belongs to those who believe in the The Lycan’s Covenant beauty of their dreams.” —Eleanor Roosevelt My friend sell’s Nyaope: Police benefit from Nyaope. KasieNova Lycan Pakistan shops are selling the drugs raging havoc on the youth and Police are doing nothing about it. A source tipped us off about Pakistan owned shop selling Nyaope to the youth of ward 42. We went there for investigations and discovered the source was telling the truth. We saw young people going there and hiding whatever they bought. We approached one of the buyers and he showed us the package and also confirmed it was indeed Nyaope. We then went to the Pakistan shop to try and buy the stuff, but refused to sell us because he were not his cus- tomers. However, as we were trying to buy the stuff, some guy wearing dirty clothes, looking and smelling like he haven't took a bath for a week come to buy, and the Shopkeeper looked worried and acted cagey. We followed the guy in an effort to speak to him, and he told us Police are getting brides from the Pakistan and every Friday they go there to collect. We called Osizweni Police Station and told them what was happening in the shop, we were told a police van would come within 20 minutes. However, we waited for more than 2 hours, no police officer came to arrest or even investigate the matter. We then took to Twitter and told the Police minister himself, but he decided to block us. www.topsymedia.co.za 8

“Aim for the moon. If you miss, you may hit a star.” —W. Public Slaughter Clement Stone It has been glorious 2 weeks in the social media storm. Reading from Gupta leaks, to Emtee’s 4-5 debacle. However, after a long deliberation with the team, we finally chose Sihle Kibido’s and Nasty C’s ordeal. Apparently, Nasty C slept with the young Sihle Kibido and blocked her from all his social networking sites. Sihle took to the social media and vented out her anger. However, she got more than what she anticipated. People asking whether she wanted marriage after sleeping with the superstar, others questioning her age and some making fun of her. Below is how it transpired: www.topsymedia.co.za 10

ASK DOCTOR NYAOPE Ask Dr Nyaope anything you want to know, To love someone means loving everything that comes with them, accepting who they are and acknowledg- ing what they bring to your life, being available to them emotionally as well as physically, correct them when thy are wrong, guide them, most importantly love them like the is no tomorrow, appreciate what they teach by remembering that as you are a mirror of themselves you are also your mirror, ...nothing is greater than love even the bible tells us so. Dr Nyaope: I have an issue with the guide them part. If that's what you do to your partner, you treating him like a child. I believe love is creation and therefore you have to allow your partner to make mistakes and love them for those mistakes, free from judgement or crucification. You have to support, not guide your partner. Busisiwe Mzwana by guiding it does not necessarily mean don’t let them do mistakes, remember we learn through them, as much as I learn from them, to guide someone is no to tell them what to do, but to give advise according to the article, whether they take it or not it won't be up to me, its their decision, look at positive guidance.. why only look from a negative point. we got parents that guide us through life and it goes on and on. When faced with difficulty we (not speaking for everyone) seek guidance whether in ca- reer or religion, why not in someone I’ve devoted myself to? Someone I love, who has my interest at his heart and visa versa, but then that’s just me. Dr Nyaope: I think you playing God with your partner and you’re dictating him. Busisiwe Mzwana I'm not playing God and not dictating anything to anyone, just saying that I would want my partner to guide me and visa versa, you can take it however.
