Much of the recording process was done at Power House Studios in Tokyo, with Friedman,
who was also the producer on the project, joined by bassist Kiyoshi and drummer Anup LP:
Sastry. “The recording process started in January 2020 and was due to end in March Side A: 1,2,3 Side B: 4,5,6
with a release in May,” explains Friedman. “But then the pandemic struck and everything Side C: 7,8,9 Side D: 10, 11, 12
was pushed back. Suddenly, I had no firm deadline to finish the album, so I could take my
time, which was a godsend. That meant I could keep reworking the music and improving
everything as I went along. In the end it took several months to get the album completed,
but it was time well spent. I believe the music has turned out so much better because I
wasn’t under any deadline pressure.”

On April 23, 2021, melodic death metal pillar BODOM AFTER MIDNIGHT will release their new
EP, Paint The Sky With Blood, via Napalm Records. Paint The Sky With Blood was recorded in
Finland back in 2020 and was meant to be the beginning of an exciting new chapter that sadly
ended far too soon. The three-track offering is an impressive, overwhelming sonic tribute to an
absolute legend of the metal scene – matchless late guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho – and at the
same time, a modern homage to the genre itself. A storm of raging guitars and blaring drums

The Mars Volta in an LP Box Set specially mastered for
vinyl, and the first release of the album fans have been
dreaming about for years, the myth-shrouded
LANDSCAPE TANTRUMS (as part of the box-set). The
box-set is limited to 5000 copies, and includes an exclusive
illustrated book and 2 pins.
The box-set, including 18 LPs (180 grams, black vinyl), will
be delivered on April, 23rd 2021. The vinyl only set, (there
are no CDs, downloads, or streaming) contains the debut
EP TREMULANT (2002) and the six studio albums from
DE-LOUSED IN THE COMATORIUM (2003) and
FRANCES THE MUTE (2005) through to their last work
NOCTOURNIQUET (2012). Everything has been newly
remastered specifically for vinyl by Chris von
Rautenkranz.
Included in this fabulously designed set is also a
hardcover book specially put together by Omar Rodríguez-
López and the Clouds Hill team with unpublished ‘behind
the scenes’ photographs from their early days.

Fred Mollin's busy schedule has earned him unique credibility through his numerous creative endeavors.
“In May of 2020 at home in Nashville during the most isolated and sequestered time of the pandemic,
I was inspired to write a canon of songs that would be a gift to my two grandchildren. Music for kids
ages 2 through 6. I was wishing & hoping that this unprecedented and very strange time would soon
be gone and that young kids would again have the ability to get back to the simple joys of their lives.”
“ I was taking all of the experience that I had working on so many projects for Walt Disney Records and
finally having the chance to write my own album of children’s songs that spoke to the beauty and
wonders young people see in their early years. Subjects like being in a car, walking and seeing
everything around you, playing with your friends, the joy of food, nature, etc. “It’s Great To Be A Kid” came to me as a project title, because I live in
hope that no matter where this music is heard, a child can be uplifted and feel someone understands their new journey and cares about them.”
Fred Mollin, a dual citizen of the US and Canada, first came into international prominence as a record producer in the late 70's, producing numerous
albums and singles, including the Grammy award-nominated "SOMETIMES WHEN WE TOUCH" by Dan Hill. In the early 80's, Mollin started a 17 year run
as a composer for TV and film.
In 2001, after years of non-stop TV and film scoring, Mollin moved to Nashville, as he wanted to return to producing and arranging records for other
artists with the best live musicians in the best studios. Since returning to record producing again full time (starting in 1996, before the move to Nashville,
he moonlighted from his scoring work and produced such critically acclaimed albums as Jimmy Webb's "TEN EASY PIECES" and Kris Kristofferson's
"THE AUSTIN SESSIONS"), his life and list of album credits in numerous genres, has been deeply fulfilling.
A sample from the recent record years include two Grammy nominated albums with Johnny Mathis with "SENDING YOU A LITTLE CHRISTMAS" and "LET
IT BE ME - MATHIS IN NASHVILLE", Volume 1 and 2 of Jimmy Webb's Americana duet albums, "JUST ACROSS THE RIVER" and "STILL WITHIN THE SOUND OF
MY VOICE", "BACK PAGES" by America, "NATURAL HISTORY" by JD Souther, Rita Wilson's albums, "AM-FM" and “BIGGER PICTURE”, Rumer’s “NASHVILLE
TEARS” and the historic album event, “REIMAGINATION” by Motown icon, Lamont Dozier.
Growing a reputation as a duet producer, he has spent the past 10 years producing duets with such artists as BILLY JOEL, WILLIE NELSON, VINCE GILL,
NATALIE COLE, GLORIA ESTEFAN, LINDA RONSTADT, LUCINDA WILLIAMS, MICHAEL MCDONALD, MARK KNOPFLER, CHRIS CORNELL, LYLE LOVETT,
ART GARFUNKEL, JACKSON BROWNE and countless others.
As an artist, Mollin's projects include "DISNEY'S LULLABY ALBUM" for Walt Disney Records (Billboard Magazine's second best-selling children's album in
2001 and a gold album), as well as over 30 album projects for Disney from 1999 till now. His work in children’s music has earned him millions of streams
on Spotify, Apple and Amazon Music.
