Rome's capital during the days of Jesus and the place where the Holy Spirit fell on Gentile believers. Casearea is from where Apostle Paul sailed to Rome. Extensive ruins of the Roman aqueduct and amphitheater built by King Herod still remain. Drive through the Carmel Mountains to Haifa for a panoramic view of the bay and the Baha’i Gardens. Drive to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation and Mary's well. It is in Nazareth Village where Jesus spent his childhood years for an experience of New Testament lifestyle and culture.
Explore Tsfat, a center of Jewish mysticism for hundreds of years, and a contemporary artists' colony. Stroll through the synagogues and quaint art galleries. OR Drive to Mount Tabor. Ascend by taxi to the Church of the Transfiguration. Check in to Tiberias hotel for dinner and overnight Hotel - Leonardo Club Tiberias Fri Sept 06 2019 - Mount of Beatitudes - Capernaum - Tabgha - Ancient Boat Museum - Boat Ride - Kayak Jordan River Following an early breakfast, head out for an exciting adventure kayaking down the Jordan River. Visit Mount of Beatitudes the location of the Sermon on the Mount. Boat ride on the sea of Galilee Visit the Ancient Boat from Jesus' time. After a short drive we arrive at Tabgha, site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes. Stop at Capernaum and see the ancient synagogue where Jesus preached. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight. Hotel - Leonardo Club Tiberias Sat Sept 07 2019 - Baptismal Site - Beit Shean - Bethlehem - Jerusalem After breakfast, drive south via the Jordan Valley and visit Beit Shean and see the ancient mosaics and ruins. Continue via Jordan Valley to Qaser El Yahud, the traditional baptism site on the Jordan River. Continue to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus. There you will visit the Church of Nativity and the Shepherd's Fields. Enter Jerusalem and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight Hotel - Leonardo Jerusalem Sun Sept 08 2019 - Mt. Olives - Garden of Gethsemane -Church of Holy Sepulcher - City of David - Mt. Zion - Tomb of king David - Wailing Wall Begin the day following breakfast and ascend the Mt. of Olives - one of the most prominent sites in the Jerusalem vicinity mentioned in the Holy Scriptures where you will be able to enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Old City and Temple Mount. Stop at Dominus Flevit Chapel and enter the Garden of Gethsemane alongside the Church of All Nations. Visit the Pool of Bethesda, Ecce Homo, Stations of the Cross and the Church of Holy Sepulcher. Continue to the City of David, a location that has been used throughout the history of Jerusalem as a means to smuggle in and out of the city, particularly during sieges. The Tunnel emerges at the excavated Pool of Siloam, where ancient pilgrims washed and refreshed themselves from a long journey before continuing on to the Temple for worship. Walk through the Jewish Quarter and Cardo, reaching the Wailing Wall- the holiest place for the Jews. Drive to Mount Zion and visit the room of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King David. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight. Hotel - Leonardo Jerusalem Mon Sept 09 2019 - Qumran - Massada - Dead Sea Float - Ein Gedi - Eilat Following an early breakfast, pass by Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Continue south to the fortress Massada, rising 1,200 feet above the desert plain. See the restoration efforts of remains of buildings dating back to the fourth and fifth centuries AD.
Swim & "float" at the Dead Sea in its mineral-rich waters. Proceed to Ein Gedi and David’s Waterfall. It is mentioned several times in the Book of Psalms, the place where King David hid from King Saul. Hike to the waterfalls. Continue south to Eilat, the southernmost town on the Red Sea Check in to Eilat hotel for dinner and overnight. Hotel - Leonardo Plaza Eilat Tues Sept 10 2019 - Eilat - Petra National Park - Jerusalem After breakfast, cross the Arava Border and drive to Petra (approximately 2+ hours), through the scenic Jordanian Desert, past the Wadi Rum area, where Lawrence of Arabia once lived and fought together with the Bedouin. Arrive at Petra where the visitor enters the Rose City of Petra through the siq – a narrow passage through the mountains, which have inspired awe for centuries. At the end of this gorge, the visitor is suddenly confronted with the first view of the Treasury, leaving him breath-taken by its size, color and beauty. Continue to the heart of this ancient city carved into the mountains, passing hundreds of tombs and monuments and a spectacular Amphitheatre, which once held 3,000 spectators. After our visit to Petra, a stop for a sit-down lunch followed by a visit to Moses Spring before leaving Wadi Moussa (the new town of Petra). We drive to Aqaba for a short city tour and return to the Arava Border. Transfer (with guide) from Arava border to Jerusalem hotel- Late night arrival in Jerusalem. Cancellations prior to March 2, 1029 is $100; cancellations from March 1, 2019 to June 29, 2019 is $200; cancellations from June 30, 2019 to July 24, 2019 is $500 and cancellations after July 24 will have no refund unless a replacement is found and if any monies can be recovered by the hotels. If a replacement is found after ticketing, then name change fees will be applied.
