Pawanexh Kohli Pollination support through beekeeping Component Cost Norm Assistance Pattern i) Production of nucleus Rs. 20.00 lakh 100% of the cost. stock (Public sector) ii) Production of bee Rs. 10.00 lakh 40% of cost for producing min. of colonies by bee breeder 2000 colonies / year iii) Honey bee colony Rs.2000/colony of 40% of cost limited to 50 colonies / 8 frames beneficiary. iv) Bee Hives Rs 2000/ per hive. 40% of cost limited to 50 colonies / beneficiary. v) Equipment including Rs. 20,000/set 40% of the cost limited to one set honey extractor (4 frame), per beneficiary. food grade container (30 kg), net, including complete set of Bee keeping equipment.

Pawanexh Kohli State wise data on beekeepers and honey production not available. Beekeepers registered with NBB may be given preference in assistance. Training to be imparted to beekeepers/farmers before extending assistance. Need to maintain separate record of budget spent on beekeeping training. Cluster approach to be adopted for beekeeping. Involvement of industry and NGOs. Beekeepers getting benefits to register with NBB. Registration of beekeepers is for five years. Migration of bee colonies to places of more bee friendly flora to be facilitated without difficulties at state borders and check posts in respect of all beekeepers.
