IMPORTANT
Remember your PASSPORT!
• Members of medical funds: remember to get a medical travel insurance
letter from your medical aid, covering the travel period. Travel insurance
is also very important and you cannot travel without it. Talk to your bank or
contact TIC on www.tic.co.za.
• Feel free to pack snacks and alcoholic beverages for personal consumption.
Rest assured though - alcohol is freely available in Namibia.
• Most lunches consist of a sandwich on the bus, while driving to our next
destination. We do not always have time to stop for lengthy periods of time.
• NB: ALL prescription medication must be accompanied by the physical
prescription. If you are susceptible to hay fever in dusty areas, please bring
the necessary medication.
• Pack your perfume, deodorant and creams (any liquids) in your suitcase
— not in your hand luggage. You are not allowed to carry more than 100ml on
you.
• Namibia’s weather is much warmer than that of South Africa, however,
pack a warm jacket, etc. for game drives in the evenings. The sherry is on us!
• Please pack lightly and bring comfortable shoes.
• Stick to the luggage regulations as sent through via the WhatsApp-group
and label your suitcase clearly with your name and surname.
• Most importantly: leave your fussyness at home and pack a positive attitude
