who provides unpaid care and support to a family member
or friend. It could be someone who has a disability, illness,
mental health problem or who needs extra help as they grow
older.
This year people across the country are continuing to face new challenges as a result
of the coronavirus outbreak. Many people are taking on more caring responsibilities
for their relatives and friends who are disabled, ill or elderly and who need support.
Caring can be a hugely rewarding experience, but sometimes carers find it challenging
to take care of their own wellbeing while caring. The impact of caring on health and
wellbeing should not be underestimated, particularly at the current time.
Northamptonshire Young Carers Organisation will be running a range of events and
LIVE discussions. The activities are aimed at connecting Carers while raising awareness
of the support that may be available to them and celebrating all they do.
