MountainWest Capital Network Ranks MonaVie The Fastest Growing Company in Utah Utah 100 Ranked at 15th Annual Awards Program SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 23, 2009– MonaVie (www.monavie.com) was ranked the fastest growing company in Utah for 2009 by MountainWest Capital Network (MWCN) (www.mwcn.org) at the 15th annual Utah 100 Awards Program today. The annual program recognizes the 100 fastest growing Utah companies, the 15 Top Revenue Growth companies, and 12 Emerging Elite companies. "I am very proud of each one of these Utah 100 companies,” said Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert. "Their hard work, sacrifice, and success represent all Utah businesses—businesses that provide the backbone of strength we need to be economically competitive with the rest of the world.” Governor Herbert addressed the Utah 100 audience Friday. The 100 fastest growing companies in Utah are selected from thousands of eligible applicants throughout the state and represent a cross-section from all industries including those in information technology, biomedical, biotechnical, healthcare, retail, construction, financial services and others. "I’ve had the great opportunity to visit with many of the leaders of this year’s Utah 100,” said Lex Watterson, MountainWest Capital Network president. "The fact they are the best of the best in Utah is no accident. Each saw an opportunity, set a plan, and executed. From phone covers to diagnosing diseases, their innovative products and solutions facilitate commerce, solve problems and enhance or save lives. The Utah 100 celebrates and honors their entrepreneurial spirit and achievements.” The Utah 100 is determined by the percentage of revenue increase from 2004 through 2008. Top Revenue Growth winners have the largest dollar amount of revenue growth over the same five- year period. The Emerging Elite are selected from among companies with less than five, but more than two, years of operation that show significant promise for future success. "Utah has always been one of the great locations in the country for entrepreneurs,” said Steven Stauffer, chairman of the Utah 100 program and an MWCN officer. "This is the 15th year the MountainWest Capital Network’s Utah 100 has recognized the top entrepreneurial companies in Utah. We congratulate each of them for their great accomplishments.”
